I think he is still under contract for 2 years. Does seem so far in UFA though Bills tapping those Washington Commanders (sure it has to do with the carolina connection with river boat Ron, knowing how hey are coached) hmmmm maybe there is life there for Fitz as BU
Looks like he's a FA next year:

Yep
I can understand Gregory saying F off and signing with Denver then. Scummy move

So Gregory was close to a deal with the Broncos, Jerry recruited him back to Dallas/came to an agreement, Dallas changed the agreement, then Gregory signed with Denver?

I’d much much much rather have Breece Hall.
That's cool, but maybe Beane wanted to take a position of higher importance at the end of R2 than a RB.

Interesting. I know nothing about him but stats are hardly inspiring.
And any signing like this makes signing of impactful DE less likely.
I'll tell you what I think when FA ends
157* receptions the last 3 years. He adds an entirely different element to this offense that we don't currently have on the roster.

What I recall saying was show me how they are demonstrably better at the end because they didn't do that last year. Some of you guys want everything to be sunshine and roses and to canonize Beane. They are better than they have been in a long time, they aren't good enough and need to get better. You go ahead and be satisfied if you want to. I'm not and the mistakes they made last year cost them. You want a mistake? Wasting money on Emmanuel Sanders that could have been spent on a corner. A corner they needed at the end of the Chiefs game.
I didn't mention you in the post, but if the shoe fits, wear it 😄
Also, for what it's worth, I don't have rose colored glasses on. Beane has ***** up with certain signings and draft picks - every single GM in this league has. So if you want to throw a tantrum because he's not batting 1.000, or hasn't yet filled a positional need, be my guest. Every person on this board knows we need to get faster and address the CB position - Beane talked about both of those things in the season ending press conference. So let's wait till the season - the draft, even! - before saying holes haven't been filled.

Let's see where they are at the end. Last year they didn't get better. We will see if they do this year.
Yes, that's the point. Let's wait till the off-season is over before throwing hissy fits, let alone before FA even opens.
Has Beane missed on free agents? Yes. Has every GM? Yes. Has he also torn down and constructed a roster that is a threat to make the Super Bowl every year? Yes.Now, do we still need impact players at other positions? Sure. Can we restructure contracts to allow it to happen, if we so choose? Yes. Can we also draft impact players? Yes. It just so happens that the first thing we did was sign guards and DTs. Why? Because we needed to upgrade those positions.
Let's give Beane and co. more than 11hrs into the legal tampering period before we clamor for his head and imply he's inept.

+1 for Robert Tonyan. I didn't realize he was a FA

Lost a guard, signed a guard. Lost a DT, signed a DT. The other DT (Settle), if you squint enough it’s basically the Quinton Jefferson scouting report from 2020. The OBD personnel guys are water-treading Olympians.Would you two prefer we replace a guard with a traffic cone and a DT with a rock? When holes open up on a roster, you replace them with someone who you think can perform better. Plus free agency hasn't even started, meaning we still have plenty of time to fix other holes. Would love to see the off-season master plan you've concocted lol.

Remember when we had to overpay to get people like the Derrick Dockery's of the world?
7x7 for $49M! Think it was the biggest contract in Bills history at that point?

Beane specifically said he wants to add a YAC-monster to the offense. I don't think re-signing MacKenzie accomplishes that objective. Landry isn't that, either.
This is my biggest thing. I don't know if it can be accomplished by the offensive scheme or what, but we need our WRs to help Josh and this offense out.

What does Landry bring that Davis doesn’t? Landry isn’t fast and isn’t tall or physical.
He's a savvy route runner with good hands. Plus he's another weapon for Josh. We have to remain a high-scoring team somehow.

Imagine if the Bills signed him and Gronk.
Fans would be in shambles (Landry/Aaron Williams, Gronk/Tre)- 3

Agreed on any team being hesitant to sign him due to his drug issues. I just meant agreeing to terms, then changing them at the last second (presumably to pull a fast one) isn't the BEST tactic.
