I think this is what you were referring to.  He was angling to play for New England.  It’s pretty sad, but he didn’t really say anything negative about the Bills.

Also laughable how he was talking about getting paid $8M A season.  He got half that on a 1 year deal

Can't imagine he left on the best of terms if he's publicly saying stuff like this. I wouldn't plan on him being in a Bills uni in 2019.

I'm not sure of a single player and don't know how anybody else could be either.

But I'll say Josh Rosen, mostly because that is what I hope.

I'm obviously being hyperbolic here as no one, not even Brandon Beane, can be sure the Bills are taking a certain player in the draft at this point.

Just more of a 'who do you have a hunch about.'

I think it's either Darius Leonard or Dorian O'Daniel. Heck, maybe even both. I still really like Oren Burks, but the team doesn't seem to have any tangible connections to him so far.

Have we been linked to them in any capacity?

so then fill us all in, what went wrong on the infamous "Fight for Jesus" blood filled night?

Still trying to figure that out. This is closer with Zay than they with me so I don't have high hopes that they will share any info if Zay wants to keep quiet about it all.

This person was also at the draft party at Zay's family home when he was drafted.

Not sure if you or anyone else won't believe me, and that's fine. Doesn't bother me. I just have nothing to gain from this, obviously.

  4. Who's a player you think the Bills will, without a doubt, draft either Thursday/Friday/Saturday?

    The reason could be:

    • Daboll connection at 'Bama
    • Someone fitting the Bills' "mentality"
    • Perfect scheme fit
    • A "source"
    • You're from the future
    • Just a hunch
    • Whatever else

Last year that guy for me was Zay Jones because of the WR coach connection and I know someone close to him.

For this year I think it's Fred Warner:

    • 4-year starter
    • Team captain
    • Versatile
    • Fills a position of need

Look. It's simple. Ronald Darby shrimpy 2nd year player 23 years old, wants to run his mouth about how he feels things should be run.  He wants to disagree and express his opinion about the changes being made.

You do that and you are gone.

That is the culture change. You get with the program or the program gets rid of you. That is what the new guys think needs to be done so that the Bills don't always lose.

So it is bye Ronald good luck. Bye Sammy. Bye Marcel. And so on.

Just quoting this so more people can see. Here's the answer ^

  6. I don't really care if anyone trusts / believes me or not... I'm friends with someone who's very close with Zay. (Knew him from ECU, was at his draft party when the Bills took him, was at the Poyer wedding, etc.) Will try to find out from [this person] what the story is and report back.

We don't have the LB's to take advantage of his skill set. I'm totally against signing interior DL to big contracts. Waiting to see the contract numbers.

FA hasn't even opened yet and we're still 6 weeks out from the draft. I should think we may find more athletic LBs at some point.

  8. Obviously Beane has the McD connection. But I wonder how the Bills are deciding who to interview? You need a lot of insider knowledge to know who the good personnel guys are (guys who don't currently sit in the top spot).

Did we hire a search firm? Does Pegs have a retired GM or HC as an unofficial adviser?

From the Buffalo News regarding McDermott. I wonder if it's a similar situation for GM:

Let the record also show that, as Pegula was careful to explain Sunday, Whaley "wasn’t the only person involved in hiring the new head coach. It was Kim and I and a lot of input from other places."

One of those places was the NFL's Personnel Development Committee, which includes former Bills GM and Hall-of-Famer Bill Polian. Polian, fellow Hall-of-Famers Ron Wolf, Tony Dungy, John Madden and other committee members submitted a list of candidates that was distributed to all of the owners of teams searching for a new coach. McDermott's name jumped out at the Pegulas and they promptly made him the first of four candidates they would interview.
