  1. 2019 was the year — the failure to win a natty caused lasting consequences. Also, I still can’t see a blindside block penalty without getting mad all over agin about that Bills-Houston game.
  2. Congrats, Blue. Just a brutal and embarrassing loss — as bad as I can remember. Makes me wonder about Day, Knowles, and Marotti. I was a student at tOSU from 94-98 and suffered awful losses against TTUN during that time. Even after 20 years of dominance, those feelings are still raw and easily brought to the surface on a day like today. Just awful.
  3. He’s both healthy and the hot hand, so yes?
  4. Game week let's go. Team is badly banged up but no time for self-pity. It's Stroud, Hayden, Harrison, and Egbuka (and hopefully Fleming), along with Jim Knowles' clutch defense heading into the big one. I cannot wait!!!!
  5. Okay I’m a bit traumatized but meow has me laughing out loud.
  6. He's just incredible. Egbuka may be the best of the group. And now Fleming is coming on? Feeling like JSN may be heading toward a business decision...
  7. Let’s tip our caps to a remarkable offensive performance against Toledo. Day and Stroud’s Buckeyes broke the all-time school record with 736 yards of offense, scoring 11 touchdowns on 12 drives. I’m worried about these injuries though. In addition to the WRs, Henderson, Hall, Proctor, and McAllister are all critical players. Day says nothing is “long term” but this team feels banged up to me. I’m looking forward to returning to the ‘Shoe this Sat for a blackout against Wisconsin!
  8. Yes, Quinn Ewers was at tOSU for a short time before transferring to Texas. He appears to be a prodigy but nobody has really seen him play since his junior year of high school.
  9. Tough game on the road for the Tide. Glad to see B Robinson really coming into his own in a game like that - can't help but wonder what he would have been like at Ohio State. I had forgotten that Gary Patterson is now an assistant head coach at Texas; his fingerprints were all over that defense performance yesterday. With the talent and coaching on that team, they should be ranked. The end of that game reminded me of AJ McCarron's big comeback at LSU years ago.
  10. Fun win today. Stroud, Henderson, and Harrison all looked great on O. Hall, Cam Brown (finally), McCalister and Proctor stood out to me on D. Burke is having a surprising rough start to the season as top CB. Burnt twice last week. PI issues today, including a bad one where he didn’t turn around, and he was benched for part of the first half. I hope he’s healthy, and that he continues to progress as a shut down corner following an incredible freshman year.
  11. Pretty cool that the WR recruits picked their QB, and Day went and got him.
  12. It was deeply satisfying when the Bucks had the ball and the lead with 10 minutes left against a good defense, and just ran the ball down ND’s throat with Pork Chop until they scored. Add to that the 12 yards that the defense held ND to in the 4th, and I think it’s safe to put to bed the entire “built like a Big 12 team” narrative.
  13. tOSU needs to drop the hype video.
  14. Lol, my bad. Didn't recognize her in the video. Nine days!
  15. I had never heard of Holly before this, but she is clearly a brilliant and highly skilled journalist lmao.
  16. 3:30 games are the best. Does this deal mean Kevin Warren is no longer a clown?
  17. Here's a good rundown of all the recent movement on the Buckeye beat. Didn't realize DJ joined a new outlet. I've really come to appreciate Ross Fulton's schematic analyses. Thank goodness Ramzy stays above the fray.
  18. Brutal. Here's a kid who's obviously gifted, fell down the depth chart a bit last year for good reasons considering the RB room, and if he entered the portal nobody would have blamed him. Instead he chose to stay and compete, came on toward the end of the year, and had a great spring game. I expected him to be a breakout star this year. Really feel bad for him. Lots of pressure on 32 this year.
  19. Two important takeaways here: (1) having team captains that aren't big-money NIL guys makes a ton of sense, and I'd bet that you're right about coaches having some influence; and (2) we should discuss all the drama on the Buckeye beat this summer. I follow all of them on Twitter and listen to a few podcasts, but I never joined the Scoop and holy moly what a meltdown.
  20. Did Day even do this or is it a player-only vote? Either way, love to see CJ in this role considering that less than a year ago we were questioning his leadership skills -- he's definitely developed a lot in that area. Great to see Eichenberg and Friday grow into their roles, and especially K. Williams. I guess I'm surprised that Zach Harrison wasn't made a captain. And perhaps JSN and Henderson need another year.
  21. Really interesting list both for who is a captain and who is not a captain.
  22. Yes - love the Block O honor and am really intrigued by this kid's story.
