  1. Youboty lost his potential I believe. Ko will have a great season.
  2. Short, speedy, quick, playmaking receiver? Yeah. can't replace that . I say Peters is irreplacable.
  3. I'm right there with you on that. I liked him a lot. Shame, hopefully he can make a solid comeback.
  4. Ugh hate that Chartreuse... I'd much rather go Midori folks! I'm not trying to kill people >_<
  5. I'm a professional bartender, and am doing football parties this fall for mostly Steeler fans, but need to make up names for Pousse Cafe's (Spoon floated drinks that are premade, my signature one is the Buffalo Ball Buster (Grenadine, Blue Curacao, and Vodka)) For fun, and extra cash, I figured that the signature drink for each week would be a signature colored drink for the opponent of the weekend. The problem came down to what to call each team. So... With your help, I'd like to make one for each team... so far I have... Buffalo: Buffalo Ball Buster Pittsburgh: Steel City Slammer Miami: Fried Tuna New England: Spy Cam Special Jacksonville: Maurice Jones Who Minnesota: Purple... you know... Eaters. So... Obviously I'm lacking in a lot of areas. Anyone else have some creative names? I'll cite you on my menu !
  6. Figured I'd start it early. QB: Trent Edwards, J.P. Losman, Gibran Hamdan HB: Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, Xavier Omen. Dwayne Wright TE: Robert Royal, Derek Schouman, Derek Fine WR: Lee Evans, James Hardy, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, Steve Johnson, Justin Jenkins OL: The givens, plus backups. (Peters, Dock, Fowl, But, and Walk, along with Preston, Whittle, and Chambers) DE: Chris Kelsay, Aaron Schobel, Ellis, and Ryan Denney. and Rian Neill DT: John McCargo, Marcus Stroud, Kyle Williams, and Spencer Johnson LB: John DiGiorgio, Paul Posluszny, Kawika Mitchelll, Keith Ellison, Angelo Crowell, Jon Banks. CB: Terrence McGee, Jabari Greer, Leodis McKelvin, Reggie Corner, Willl James, and Ashton Youboty. Safety: Donte Whitner, Ko Simpson, John Wendling, George Wilson, Bryan Scott. K: Rian Lindell P: Moorman KR/PR: Terrence, Roscoe/Leodis. Just want to see who you think makes it.
  7. Couldn't put it better myself. The guy has the talent, he has the skill. But he'd rather dance and dive than get the extra yard. Thank you, Marshawn.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/videos/w1/gm2 Really should've won this game... a whole lot of luck/talent on Denvers side, whole lot of defense that cost us the game being too careful (see:Broncos/Cowboys). This team this year, with an upgraded D-Line, LB corp, and a solidified Dback group, our stellar ST group (which can't be argued), and a hopeful, promising offense... I mean... who isn't pumped about this team? If you do have a problem with Trent, let's go past that, and tell me what other aspect of this team you dislike. Let's. Go. BUFFALO!
  9. Wouldn't really disagree with this either, I like the Clark/Gonzalez tandem better, but Pope has some years to prove that he can catch some passes in the Red Zone. I called him out last year, and he proved a lil' bit o' somethin' to me.
  10. Evans for Dallas Clark and Anthony Gonzalez.
  11. If Poz is in on every tackle, McCargo and Kelsay can find the QB, and the (greatest imo) young safety tandem can handle the deep end of the Cover 2, then I believe we have a top 7 defense this year. Whitner, McGee, Crow, and Kyle are underrated, mix them with solid depth, Jabari, Ko, Dennster and Kawika, and you have a very, very solid defense. DiGiorgio can fill in at any LB spot, I believe, and Ellison will be a fantastic 3rd down cover LB for Kawika. Ellis and Denney as backups at end don't bother me whatsoever, the starting (slash backup) circulation of DT's makes me excited (K-Will and Marcus Stroud on running downs? Yes please.) and the LB corp is solid. Corner is close to the deepest depth on the team, and who wouldn't mind seeing George Wilson in place of Ko Simpson at safety!? I'm VERY excited about the defense this year. As our ST is always exceptional, The light shines on the offense. I believe that if (and here's where the post pertains to the topic) we are to succeed on offense, Trent, James, and (yes, seriously) Derek Schouman will need to prove their worth on offense.
  12. Watching Alvin Bowen from the rookie standpoint, and Ko Simpson from the semi-veteran standpoint, with Justin Jenkins watching in training camp.
  13. Pats at 7? Is that because they only have to return kicks and punts once a game?
  14. Been studying some film, and watched mostly Hardy in college, (saw Reggie play a game, had a monster on at that), and saw video from other guys, what strong points do you think they'll have in the NFL? James Hardy: Tall, can jump, freak athlete (when watching him play basketball), and gets inside, something that no one since Eric Moulds has been able to do for the Bills in quite some time. He also gets open when the QB is in trouble, something thats a major plus for a second year QB. Leodis McKelvin: Saw little of him in college, but from what I saw in film, he's an anti-ballhawk, a phenomenal returner, and has great vision. He only seems to have straight line speed, though, and doesn't seem too agile in coverage. Should get better with practice though. Will be great in coverage. Reggie Corner: From what I've seen? Ballhawk, great nickel/dime guy, no way a starter, but will most certainly pick some balls off. Chris Ellis: From what I've seen, an amazing, pure pass rusher. Very worried about his 1st and 2nd down coverage of the run, but he can run, he can get to the QB, but I worry about his ethic in the NFL. Wouldn't mind a Schobel/Ellis or Schobel/Denney line as opposed to what we have now, but I need to see more of the kid. Derek Fine: I have nothing on this guy. Heard he's a Derek Schouman-type TE, a bit more size but a little less hands. Hoping to see what others have seen out of him. Steve Johnson: Who I hope to see succeed on this team the most, I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a 4 WR set consisting of Lee, James, Roscoe, and Steve. He's got the athleticism, size, speed, and hands to blossom in to something very special, not a Marques Colsten, but a threat nonetheless. One year wonder, but we'll see. Kennard Cox: Live in Pitt, saw little of the guy, and not too excited about his chances... Demetrius Bell: I know he's a freak athlete, know he's going to develop, so nothing I have on him now. Alvin Bowen: Keith Ellison +. Great tackler, unbelievable speed, and a playmaker. Won't hit the guys strong upfield, but will chase down guys like a safety. Can't wait to see him on ST. Xavier Omon: Best DII kid I've seen in a long, long time. Could become a penniless-man's Jerome Bettis in short yardage, that is, if he doesn't follow in his predesescors shoes (Dwayne). I find a Marshawn/Action backfield with XO punching it in a great group. Seems like Maurice Morris/Julius Jones with TJ Duckett, except Marshawn isn't a sissy and Freddy can get more than 3.4 YPC as a backup :-P. More interested in what others think of the rooks though. Hindsight is 20/20, but let's see what the ESP eyesight of our posters is.
  15. What's with the revenge games? I don't think Nate has a problem with the Bills, he left on his own, and Marcus, again, don't think that he has any problems with the Jags.
  16. Trent Edwards - 17-24, 195 yards, 1 TD, 2 Ints. Marshawn Lynch - 128 yards rushing, 1 TD Josh Reed gets the TD Rian nails 2 FG's, Terrence runs a kick back for a TD, and Poz leads the D with 14 tackles. Aaron gets a sack, along with Stroud and Kawika. Bills win 27 - 23
  17. I think that beating the Dolphins in Toronto but having Perry Fewell experience a minor asthma attack that forced Turk Schonert to put Duke Preston in the Linebacking corp for 3 plays on the goalline stand would be the worst.
  18. Hmm... Bills tattoo on my right shoulder, and my personalized autographed Shane Conlan picture.
  19. Gotta agree. I don't think people understand what Fred Jackson has done in his career, but past him it's all on "I don't really care" Wright and The Rookie Omon. 13th isn't bad on that list.
  20. I think it's moreover the statistical thing. McGee's 5.8 YPA was one of the top 5 in the league among starters, and he's done pretty damn good as a #2 as well. It's a ranking of all DB's, and compared to some other safeties on the list, he's pretty high. According to CB's on the list... Terrence is the #5 Corner Donte is the #17 Safety (among both strong and free)
  21. It's an Xavier Omon that means Super Bowl this year! WOO!
  22. To reiterate my post beforehand Hirly (T), we should put him through some sort of shameful bashing, but I believe that Papa Young here would do that on his own... To shed some light on the story, me and this Patsie fan come from a long line of Buffalo Bills diehards. My grandfather, grandmother, all of my uncles and one of my aunts (the other is a Dolphins fan... how bout them apples?), and all of my cousins are diehard Bills fans. My grandfathers basement is littered with Bills memorobilia, lined with almost every sign handed out by 550 in the 2001 season. For him to leave the family tradition was pretty... ungodly. But, it seemed that while we were all heavily intoxicated in Virginia Beach, we all accepted him back as a Bills fan. I'll still make it hell on him, I know Hirly will still too, but we'll have to see what happens this season. In a family as close as ours, we all know that family comes first, and when that family is obsessed with the Bills, he knew when to come home.
