  1. Gamesmanship? Chan/Nix getting the Atlantic Asterisks thinking about their playbook? Hmm.
  2. I thought he was very active in the run and pass D, very positive game for him. That made it that much more remarkable when I read today that he only played 1/3 of the def. snaps. Seems like he made more plays than you could coming off the field that much. Barnett and Gilmore played every defensive snap. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/9/24/3384680/bills-24-browns-14-justin-rogers-bryan-scott
  3. Been running around too much to check. We'll have to see how JJ responds.
  4. So Schiano's Bucs playing Jerry Jones Cowboys in Dallas this afternoon. What happens if there is a kneeldown at the end of one of the halves? Bucs QB takes a knee and the Cowboys pull 'a Schiano'? Does a fight break out or do the Bucs congratulate the Cowboys for playing to the final whistle? Romo takes a knee and a Buc knocks the center on top of him, does Jerry Jones complain in the press or shrug it off as part of the game he wants to see? Interesting. kj
  5. It's not every day that you read the word 'temerity' on the Wall. Correct usage is probably even rarer. Nice. kj
  6. Maybe It's about chunks of yardage and not how you get there. Averaging 10 ypc, CJ is essentially executing a ball control passing game but bypassing the QB. The OL and CJ's speed are getting the ball to the LB/DB level with CJ in space, just the way a passing game would. We aren't running to set up the pass or vice versa. We are passing by running. kj
  7. One more CJ stat: only 1 run for negative yards. Compliments: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/9/17/3347564/buffalo-bills-cj-spiller-facts-and-figures kj
  8. If the pillowcase is complemented by Tom Brady duct tape, I won't complain.
  9. Unbelievable in Arizona
  10. Anybody have Eli in fantasy today? 510 Yds!
  11. I don't know, I always thought teams put up a bit of a show about trying, even in blowouts. 1st down Arizona
  12. No onside kick??? Really?
  13. CJ's final line doesn't convey how much he dominated the 1st half: 15 for 123 yds & 2 TDs kj
  14. Too soon to pull Spiller?
  15. Murph on the radio: "Touchdown, Leodis my man." (Shades of Animal House.) kj
  16. OL pushing Hali for a late hit, standing up for their QB (per Kelso on the radio)
  17. Okay, now Fitz has his.
  18. Spiller slowing down, only got 4 yards there.
  19. More of the same, please.
  20. What happens when Spiller gets tired?
  21. Google says this: http://www.power-unlimited.org/leonard.html But he isn't on any Bills rosters for those years.
  22. The answer is: yes. kj
  23. Something to distract us from our collective misery, and maybe something useful for the gamblers here: Listening to NPR on the commute this morning, Frank Deford of SI had a short essay on a Stanford U. study on sleep patterns and NFL night games between East and West coast teams. Looking at games where one team was on one time zone and set of sleep patterns and the opponent was on another. Natural circadian rhythms dictate success according to the study. People perk up around 6 pm but start to lose energy later in the evening. West coast players in these games are coming alive as east coast players are falling asleep. In late games, west coast teams have beat the spread 70% of the time, over a span of 25 years. Now that is a betting edge. He is quoting from a book called Dreamland by David Randall, which in turn discusses the study. Link: http://www.npr.org/2012/09/12/160929344/nfls-west-coast-teams-have-an-edge-the-sandman I looked but I couldn't find any conclusive evidence to suggest that having a cheeseburger as a team negates this effect. kj PS: My topic is misleading, I know: it only counts night games, not regular games. But I could only get so much in.
  24. When did HyperBills die? kj
  25. Receiver said, "Squirrel". Game over.
