  1. Why is Washington out of the QB hunt? McNabb is only good for a few years, if he re-ups his contract this year. It would give Clausen a year to season. Shanahan likes gunslingers with an arm. Clausen seems to be like that. I wouldn't be so sure that they wouldn't take him. It really depends what these guys really think of Clausen. Everything is probably a smokescreen...

  2. I know his injury was a fluke, but it didn't take very much at all. It looked like such an innocent tap, and he's out the game? That worries me. Getting a stinger makes it much easier to get another..and another...and another...

  3. “I like the way he carried himself in the meetings,” said Trent Edwards. “Just getting the chance to sit down with him I feel like he’s a confident coach. He’s an offensive tough-minded coach who wants to run the football and throw the football and run a balanced attack.”

DDUUUHHHH!!!! Isn't that what offenses do? Run the football and throw the football? God help us!

  4. Okay, the Patriots lost Ben Watson and another tight end this offseason. So, what do they do? They quickly go get a decent veteran replacement in Alge Crumpler in free agency. Crumpler is considered only an average receiving threat, but is considered a 6th O-Lineman when it comes to blocking.

My question is: Since we have a bunch of unproven TEs on our roster, and it's been widely known that we've been trying to upgrade our TE position for years now, why did we not sign a guy like Crumpler? It just makes you really see the difference of the haves (Pats) vs. the have nots (Bills). They just quickly fill holes that pop up . . . we let them fester and don't ever fill them until the proverbial "next year". We create more holes that we can fill in one year EVERY year! Really frustrating at this point.

Pretty simple, the Pats have a jerk that knows what he's doing. And we don't. They know how to win championships, and we don't. Maybe one day, we'll be in that enviable position

  5. No to McNabb. We're a medical office, and just had a meeting with their head trainer. Rick Burkholder, and he said that they would know in the beginning of the week if McNabb was going to have a good game or not. He said with McNabb it was all mental. Things would get to him so easily that it would throw off his whole week and then the game. He is not a big game QB at all.

  6. I haven't heard much of anything on Jahvid Best. This kid looks almost like Spiller in size and speed, he just has a history of concussions - and will drop to maybe the second round... but, the scouting reports look identical, as do the stats.

    Concussions=trouble.

Even Kelso's helmet could not protect a RB for further Concussions.

  7. I wouldn't mind taking him at 9 (also wouldn't mind the smokescreen they want him in the event they are trying to trade the pick).

I'd almost liken it to the Titans taking Chris Johnson. They looked like a flawed team that needed some other help besides RB when they took him. There's something to be said for the impact of a guy who can take it to the house on any play.

Look what Chris Johnson did for the Titans. A flawed team with a so-so QB - went 8-2 after their break. What a monster! If we could get even a fraction of Chris Johnson in Spiller....

  8. Keep drinking the koolaid.

Edwards - Ravens let him go because they wanted him to have surgery and the next 2 stops he failed his physical. We were his only option (see TO). We just committed 4 years to him. Prove otherwise.

Bills lost TO, Reed, Butler, Fine, Palmer, Jenkins, Denny, Wendling, Incognito, top coaches. Tell me we are better

You almost had me, but "top coaches" is way over the top!

  9. What's the REAL reason that Turk was fired? That is the question that needs to be answered. Who was it too complicated for? The QB? The RB? I think that was just a hogwash excuse.

The whole offense was offensive. How could you possibly have an NFL team with a new offense installed in the first week of the season. Give me a break! Then to dump your starting OT at the beginning of the season.

The whole team is a laughing stock - and it starts all the way at the top!

Russ Brandon as GM? Are you kidding me?

Because of those cheap moves, we will be paying for it for the next five years. As much as I don't like Chan Gailey, at least give this team some stability and a plan to get better. Don't fire him in a year or two. Hopefully this GM is the real deal.

 <--How many times do we do this per season?

  10. There's a huge difference between spending a first-round pick on Willis McGahee, who was still recovering from a career-threatening injury, and C.J. Spiller, who is perfectly healthy and ready to make an immediate impact.

That's a great point! He's also not an unproven talent like Aaron Maybin. Both horrible picks by the Bills.

By the way, his 40 time was 4.27 at the combine. He's been clocked at 4.24 elsewhere.

Also his 20 yard burst was 2.41 which tied the record that was set by Chris Johnson last year.

His hands can change a game too. Like a Reggie Bush with actual NFL size.
