  1. Careful with that one... they play as well as anybody in the snow. Especially Brady.
  2. I don't recall defending their fans. I just said they have a good team.
  3. I am a Bills fan and have been all my life (44 years). I grew up in WNY (Orleans County) and moved to the Boston area after college. While I'm not a Pats fan, it's hard to argue with their success. I watch a good % of their games, and I'm objective enough to admit that they're pretty frickin' good, whether I like it or not. Did you see what they did to both the Jets and the Bears? They've developed a culture of winning (the videotaping/cheating being an obvious stain), that the Bills could learn a lot from. Trust me, I relish the day we beat the Pats. But I'm not going to whine all the way there.
  4. He better make sure the cameras aren't on him.
  5. Didn't know that one either.
  6. Link? So if in some strange parallel universe, Bob Kraft were to lose his mind and offer Buddy Nix a straight up trade -- Belicheck and Little Girl Brady for Chan Gailey and Ryan Fitzpatrick, you wouldn't take that trade? I think you're just jealous.
  7. "To the victors belong the spoils." I'm quite certain many of the people on this very board would be equally insufferable if our team was as successful.
  8. Maybe he's thinking about his next stunt, instead of concentrating on catching the ball. Who knows?
  9. Stevie needs to do fewer interviews this week.
  10. OK, Fitz, let's see what you got.
  11. You have to write your name on the score sheet before you can ace the exam. Ya gotta start somewhere. I was more heartened by the fact they came back from 21 points down on the road, than the fact they beat another crappy team. THAT is cause for at least a little optimism, isn't it?
  12. I agree. Do you want them to lose those games in the hopes of getting a higher draft pick, or win them? If you really don't want the Bills to beat those teams, I give up.
  13. You did: "I think of things in simple terms, wins are useless for this team this season. Tank it, get as high a pick as you can and trade down in order to pick up more quality draft picks." How do you expect to "tank it" if the players aren't involved? This, I gotta hear.
  14. I'm guessing they will say they don't watch with any emotion either way. Then when they start winning, they will jump on the bandwagon. The very definition of a fair-weather fan.
  15. I didn't mean to imply that I think your prior season record matters when the next season starts. I meant that I'd rather have my team moving in the right direction and showing signs of improvement than to intentionally jake it in an attempt to win the lottery. Jake Long was not single-handedly responsible for the Dolphins turnaround. And for every Dolphins turnaround like that, there are just as many examples of drafting #1 and still sucking. Both winning and losing are contagious.
  16. So what? You really want to perpetuate, and potentially deepen, the culture of losing in order to draft ONE GUY who could get his knee wrecked in training camp? Then where are you? So they get the first pick, but the rest of the team is still a bunch of miserable losers who don't know how to win and don't want to be there. How do you turn that ship on a dime? You finish strong and some decent free agents might consider coming. I don't know, but in any other business, purposefully trying to not win is a serious integrity issue. But a lot of people these days don't know what that word means anymore, I guess.
  17. Matt Ryan was not the first overall pick.
  18. Nice comeback win on the road. Good for them.
  19. "Did we win? What was the score?"
  20. And then the Bills sign the goose to the practice squad after the game.
