The surprising thing is how the Bills D shut down the Saints passing attack. But the Saints just kept pounding and when Pierre Thomas got cranked up it was Goodnight Irene. Buffalo's QB led offense didn't score a single point. Without the Moorman trickery, it may very well have been a scoreless day for the Bills. NO only had the ball about 7 minutes longer than Buffalo, but it sure seemed a lot longer than 7 minutes. As is all too typical, the defense looked gassed by mid 4th quarter and when the opponent found something that worked (in this case Pierre), Fewell had no answer. And 12 penalties for 116 yards? Undisciplined and inexcusable. TO is sulking already and my guess is that after having his streak broken (and his post game funeral dirge), he'll just go through the motions, stay healthy, take his money and maybe try one more year with another team. I read somewhere that in 3 seasons with the Bills, Jauron has only won 2 games against teams with winning records. So far, that record is still safe.

His pass defense has been just putrid. And he has shown NO ability to be able to do anything about it.

It dropped the Titans/Jets game on whatever the original feed was and then picked it up again via a justin.tv. I hope they carry the Bills game as the feed on this website is the best of any I've seen.

This one didn't work last week and is dropping the Jets/Titans game a lot.

The one thing that might change things here is that Buffalo's pass defense is better against the deep ball than against the short-medium passes. If Brees tries to throw deep, Buffalo's pass D might be up to the task. If Brees is content to throw 6-8 yard slants & posts, Buffalo's D stands to give up a lot of yards and stay on the field for long periods of time. Let's hope that Fewell can concoct a solid defensive plan.

The 5-8 yard pass plays are what keep drives going for 80+ yards and 7-9 minutes, not to mention gassing the D. The run D is doing well (jinxed 'em right there) and the deep pass coverage seems okay too (jinx part II). But the 5-8 yard passes are the opponent's bread and butter & they know it. Wish Fewell would find a way to make that more difficult for opponents.
