  1. She was a hottie. Still looks good on TV, too. Just a real, down to earth person. I wouldn't put it in the "hang" category, exactly. Wish I could.
  2. Amen zepp. Probe & find your opponent's weakness and then pound the crap out of it. I used to practice occasionally next to Chris Evert at Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale. Met & talked to her a couple of times. Super lady. Played doubles once against Dan Rowan of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. We were told to let Dan win. We didn't. Love playing against you guys!
  3. Matches between serve & volley players and baseliners are still my favorite. Irresistible force VS immovable object. You basically had to hit a drop shot to get my ass to the net.
  4. Didn't get to see the match. Can't say I would go out of my way to watch either guy. I know they're two of the best in men's tennis right now, but I dunno....there's something missing.
  5. Even though Arias was from Grand Island, the commentators used to say he was from Buffalo. He played from 1980-1994. Never won any majors. Got to #5 once. He does occasional commentary for tennis and smacks around Pauly Shore.
  6. Oh yeah....Vitas. He looked like he was a speed freak....weighed about one nuthin. Remember Roscoe Tanner? He's currently on the lam from the latest in a string of arrest warrants. Sad. And how about Jimmy Arias from Grand Island?
  7. I played club tourney tennis as well. Three sets of tennis equaled about 5 miles of running if I remember correctly. And don't forget Nastase! Kind of a flake, but could be a magician on the court when he put his mind to it.
  8. I think you mean "shrieks her way to victory." That sound is not even remotely related to grunt.
  9. I'll tune in to see if the Djoker has a shot at beating Nadal. AT least Novak has some semblance of a personality.
  10. Or how about being water boarded to death by a howling mob of pi$$ed off audience members led by his goddesses after a horrifically bad "Violent Torpedo of Hot Buttered Groat Clusters Tour" performance.
  11. You are giving the producers of the show a lot more credit than I would have.
  12. Driving his car off a cliff? I guess art does imitate life.
  13. I'm guessing: Ugly Juice. This one's frikkin scary looking.
  14. Fair enough. Fripp does seem like one of those guys who is barely hanging onto sanity. My favorite version was when Greg Lake was doing bass & vocals. Saw KC a long time ago when an unknown Peter Frampton opened for them in West Palm Beach. Fripp chastised the audience, who were all cranked up after Frampton and too rowdy for his eminence. Great concert, though.
  15. A QB named Gradkowski on the Bills......gotta love that!
  16. Unfortunately, you and I will not see an Independent president in our lifetime. The current 2 party system is too entrenched, too embedded and has far too much at stake to let that happen. It wouldn't surprise me one iota to see Democrats and Republicans ganging up together to keep an Independent from winning the presidency. The two party system exists, largely to continue to exist.
  17. No Fripp? Bah. King Magenta, maybe....or Prince Crimson.
  18. I got thoroughly spoiled with LOST and now with TWD. I'm looking forward to the new season of Warehouse 13 and Fringe!
  19. Mine is a great, big MEH. A lot of action to get things started, which was nice. But the dialogue, plot line and acting are underwhelming.....so far.
  20. I'm guessing you're a trolling spoonhead on a library computer. Scamp? How Burl Ives.
  21. A schmuck who thus far is wreaking havoc on grammar and spelling.
  22. That's the best question posed in this thread so far.
  23. HEY We don't effing wanna see your emeffing underwear. OKAY? Angie's, yes. Penelope's, yes. Beyonce's, yes. Yours, NO. Got it, spoonhead?
  24. This is also where the best "World's Dumbest" videos clips come from.
  25. Stevie's dropped pass in the end zone against the Steelers was last season's (God forgive me) "wide right." Stevie catches that pass, we beat (and I mean MF BEAT) the Steelers and I would bet my grandma's dentures we win 5 out of the last 6 games instead of 2. That would have been a HUGE win. That's not dumping the season on Stevie, that's yet another "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" that the team has been accustomed to for lo these many years. I agree with your post points above, BTW. It's a team game but somewhere along the line, when the game is on the line, someone is going to have to step up and find a way to effing WIN it instead of the goddam plethora of highlight reel moments we find to lose it.
