  1. This is how we go forward. Right now Glenn's cap hit is nearly 14 million....franchise tag. Sign him to a 5 year 70 million including a $20 million signing bonus....first year salary of $1.4 million, cap hit is 6.4. Savings over 7 million. Do a similar deal with Gilmour, and you'll be in great shape. Trade down a couple times for an extra couple picks, draft well and conquer.

We had to get rid of lazy bones Mario Williams. Nigel is a hitter who can't really cover, so we signed that guy from Tennessee. We lost Baccari Rambo, but picked up some others. I like what they're doing. Urbik? No loss there. Hogan will hurt us both from the loss and from New England's gain.

    Fun times ahead.

I doubt they'll move on Gilmore until after the draft, depending on who they get. If they get a good CB high, I wonder if they will count on that CB to step up next year, and let Gilmore walk.

  2. Now, I want to put to bed this misconception that Nix was a bumbling fool that Whaley had to overcome. Here's a compilation of their greatest hits, acquired and drafted players.

    Buddy:

    Dareus

    AW

    Searcy

    Gilmore

    Glenn

    Bradham

    Carrington

    Spiller

    Mario

    Fitzy

    Whaley:

    Woods

    McCoy

    SWAT

    Darby

    Karlos

Incognito and Taylor (I put these more with Rex, TBH)

    Seantrel

    Hughes

    Clay

Who did better? I think I'm taking Nix.

Why does it have to be a competition? They both made 10 good moves. Whaley was a scout when Nix was here, so should he get some of the credit for what Nix did? Also, Whaley resigned incognito and Glenn. That's gotta count for something. Seems clear you have some sort of strange axe to grind with whaley.

  3. this is an interesting year a CB. And S. S there isn't much but there is a lot nod different talents. CB is deep with good but not great talent. 3 or 4 very good players there. 10-12 depth, rotational and subset players. You can find what you're looking for in a package CB in found 3-4

Sounds about right. I admittedly don't follow much college ball, and don't spend any time researching players, nor do I have the capability or time to break down film, so I'm usually pretty quiet about the draft. I rely on people like you to know what is going on with the draft, so thanks!

Todd, you're the absolute pope of TBD... A holier, more sanctimonious and righteous poster cannot be found anywhere on this board... Good luck finding an actual player that lives up to your preposterous standards... I don't know the full story behind the Manziel domestic violence incident..... If he did smack the girl then SHAME ON HIM.... I'ts a despicable act committed by a very young human being... I wonder how deep the Browns organization delved into his character before drafting him 22nd overal in '14.... My guess is not very deep at all... And if the organization felt the act was so heinous... Then why not part ways the instant they confirmed it happened?

Manziel owns his fair share of issues... But he isn't the first girl-puncher to play in this league, and he won't be the last... Five years out of high school, most of us are FAR from finished products... I'm not dragging him out to the dumpster just yet.

Gee that's a great post. Love how you downplay beating up women. "Other people do it," ... "But he's young!" ... "It's the Browns fault for not looking into it!" ... "If it was such a big deal, the Browns would have cut him sooner!" ...

Any more excuses you'd like to throw out there for a scumbag beating on girls? Not many issues are black & white. This one is. I hope you can decide to be on the right side of it. There's no excuse for smacking women around, yet you keep making them. Any more garbage you'd like to share with the board before I hide your ass?

  5.

Is he a little bit of a shmuck? -Absolutely... Own worst enemy? -For sure... But let's be clear here, Manziel's biggest error was not living up to the ridiculous hopes of a team, and organization that hasn't won anything in for-fricking'-EVER!

No, Manziel's biggest errors were 1) Being violent with women. Not many "errors" bigger than that. Don't try and minimize the significance of domestic violence. It disgusts me, and shames you. 2) Lying and being a bad person. Let's face it, the guy is NOT a good person, and his teammates can't rely on him. That has nothing to do with living up to the hopes of a team. It isn't like he tried real hard but the team sucked so he couldn't do it. He didn't even try most of the time, and showed up to practice hungover.

He's an ass, and I can't stand people making excuses for such a waste of space. Anyone who advocates that he join the Bills should have their head examined.

    So Buffalo ... B-)

Please. Really? Are you serious? Is your crusade that foolish that you STILL feel you have a sliver of an argument for the guy? Should we sign Ryan Leaf as a backup?

  6. Ask them if they thought that was a good season. Clearly you guys are stuck in your mediocrity. I remember years the Bills went to the playoffs in a down year and people were mad because it was a failure. Yankees barely miss the playoffs and managers are fired. The point is to win it all. We go 8-8 again and Rex is on the hot seat

Still trying to reach those straws, eh? They're still out of reach apparently.

  7. I realize the irony of a 50/50 win percentage being deemed one or the other but this is football. If you don't make the playoffs at minimum then you are bad. Typically that takes double digit wins so 8-8 is bad

So the year the Cheatriots were 11-4 and missed the playoffs completely they were *bad*? Really? That makes total sense! Like, wow! Really proves your rock-solid point!
