  1. and the fact Pennington is out for next week or "doubtful" doesnt make things better. If they beat an 0-3 Miami team w/out their starting QB, what does that prove. I got tix for the Cleveland game, but I don't even want to go. The Bills always beat teams they are 'supposed' to beat. This week was a total blown opportunity.

    sorry for ramblin'

Good point, I actually think they are gonna get beat and maybe beat badly by Miami, dropping us to 1-3.

Then we'll probably beat Cleveland only because the Browns are actually worse than us and Mangini is a clown.

I have now officially accepted that we will NEVER beat a winning team under Jauron, so now I don't get as upset

when they lose.....I know it's coming.

  2. Why is everyone so negative on this board? After all, it is only the third game and we have the hapless fins next. Wait, right after that is the equally inept Cleveland Browns. We should be 3-3 going into the Jets game and with a win over Houston and Carolina, could end up at 5-4 by week 9 (DJ keeps his job through the bye week).

Then another win over Miami and another roll over KC (the Bills actually throw the ball down the field and score 52 points again) and Voila – out comes another 7-9 season. So you see? There is no reason to be negative. 7-9 has been good enough for three years and has not affected tickets sales and we are not the Detroit Lions (yet). So lighten up, keep the faith and hope that you see a playoff birth in your lifetime or before the moving vans pull up to one Bills Drive.

I hate you for posting this...cuase that's exactly what's going to happen.

Not bad enough to get him fired, not good enough to be a winner....

  3. I agree with many of the statements in the 1st post, BUT I also remember the collapse last year.

Until Dickie J and the boys can prove different, I see another 7-9. Had they actually beaten the Patriots, I could see

this maybe being the year they got over that hump (losing mentality), but since they didn't I can't believe yet....

I do like what I see from this offense and AVP though, it will be interesting to see how they handle the Fins and Jets defenses.

  4. Born in Rochester in 72', started watching the Bills in 1980 and have been hooked ever since. I have vivid memories of my Dad cursing out Joe Ferguson for throwing interceptions as he often did. I remember when they changed their helmets from white to red in 84 and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. My parents split and I moved down South, but my addiction to the Bills continued. I remember them rolling out the red carpet for Kelly when he arrived, and I knew good things were coming. My Dad would send me VHS tapes in the mail so I could follow them. I've taken relentless abuse from Cowboy fans (I live in Dallas now), for the Superbowl beat-downs, but I stand tall hoping one day they'll win it all. There has been many times over the last few years (especially on Monday Nights), where I wish I could stop rooting for them....but I can't and NEVER will! GO BILLS

  5. I don't remember the exact play, but the first thing that caught my attention early on in the preseason was not a catch, but a drop. Stupar was outstretched going for the football and clearly seen the safety coming up with real bad intentions and never even flinched. Stupar took a whack that would knock some players out of the ball game and bounced up like it never even happened, that's what caught my attention first about Stupar. He then went on to catch almost everything that came his way and was leading the NFL in receptions during the preseason at one time.

Stupar, Stuparman, and he is one tough cookie...

I was pissed when he didn't make the team, this makes me really happy!

Hopefully he won't get buried on the bench, I think he's better than Fine....but what do I know.
