  1. If it's for a HC job we have no ability to stop it. Only lateral moves. The only way to stop it is for Pegula to open the check book, which I'm not opposed to since it aint my money and it doesnt count towards the cap. I'm hoping that Dorsey sees the value in hanging in this position for at least another season past this one. Get his feet under him as an OC and even asst HC, before moving on. Get us our back-to-back rings and then go cash in. But there is nothing we can do to stop him from leaving other than hope.
  2. I could see it if someone the size of Gabe Davis runs all the way across the end zone and has planted his toes at the sideline, Josh has scrambled right and is almost all the way at the sideline or just about to go out at lets say the 5 yard line. He throws it down the sideline. Ball is physically out of bounds, but still live/in play. Davis, over 6ft, is falling forward AND has arms stretched out and catches the ball 5 feet out of bounds, but with toes still in. Catches, keeps his feet down, and then completes his fall. I'd be very surprised for the refs to say "no TD". And I believe with Davis' feet still in bounds, it "makes" the ball still in bounds as well. If refs did say No TD, there would be a revolt and a rule change. Agreed. Side note: How awesome is it that the Bills are so good, this is what we spend our Monday's discussing now?
  3. Phew, well if the NFL was set on making the definition of a touchdown as confusing as the definition of a completed catch, then they have succeeded. Effin a...
  4. So you're saying if I'm running down the field right at the sideline, and right before I hit the end zone I hold the ball out to my side, and I reach farther then the outside of the pylon, it isnt a TD? Outside of the pylon isnt a TD even if I possess the ball and my feet are in bounds?
  5. I havent seen the bolded change mentioned. Will google for more info. Still infinite as far as I know. To the second part, I'm almost positive Josh has thrown more than 1 of these. At least 1 to Diggs, Davis, and Knox, over the last couple seasons. Receiver's toes on the line, ball way outside, caught, TD.
  6. The plane of the goal line extends infinitely in all directions (hence why hitting the pylon counts as a TD even though it is technically out of bounds). In the case of your example, the ball broke the plane, and the WR possessed it while still in bounds. Touchdown. (If Im understanding your scenario correctly)
  7. Poyer was like "Yo, just give me SOMETHING to shut my wife up". Beane said "I got you".
  8. This 100%. McD is smart to go with Crowder on PR and Slot in such a game over a rookie. Shakir will get his opportunities this season, but last night it wasnt in the cards. I think we kept all 3 RBs active because they didnt fully trust Cook yet either and he proved that right. Hence the healthy dose of Moss. Agreed the DBs are playing because they have no other choice, and our Safeties can help them out.
  9. Harrison and Simms commented on it in the pregame. They said they spent time at the Bills camp, and the team looked and felt just like they did in camp during warm-ups. That they were loose, having fun, yet laser focused. Couldnt ask for a better way to play the game.
  10. Yes. That sounds about right because I remember mentioning to my wife at about 11:10pm that it was nice the game didnt run too late, as it was already over
  11. He was laughing and smiling through the whole game, after every run. He was loose and having fun. All there is to it.
  12. I too was baiting while watching our offense last night
  13. Probably not, but could see it. Living and recruiting in Atlanta. Low expectations at GT, and a built in excuse due to academic standards. And if he has a few successful years here and lifts the program up a couple rungs, then could position himself for the Florida State job. (Assuming he'd go back to FSU, I've heard rumors that's not a great relationship)
  14. I wont knock hype posts -4 hours from kickoff of the season opener. Bring em on. LFG!!!!!!!
  15. Same. I'm confident we'll be making a run at the Super Bowl, one way or another. I'm confident we are the better team on paper tonight. But opening night... Hyped up in LA... And we dont have the best opening track record... Plus, anything can happen with these weird games. My heart says Bills by a Billion. But my brain says 50/50.
  16. Are we being productive here? I use this place as an excuse to be UNproductive at work. Or rather INproductive!
  17. Most players and their agents dont want to sign deals that long. And neither do teams. Things happen. Injuries, etc. Plus players want to cash in on the ever inflating cap. 4-5 years is the sweet spot for contracts. Especially for extensions which are technically a year longer considering the existing deal.
  18. I'm excited to see what Dorsey dials up coming from the background of being a fairly successful QB. I think he could elevate Josh's game to a whole new level. Let's ***** go.
  19. He'll be gone next year when they hire Sean Payton.
  20. You feel bad for a guy who has lived a very charmed life, is married to an IG model, has already earned $36M by 32 years old, is lined up to win a Super Bowl, and will likely make another $20M+ in free agency with another team before retiring at 35?
  21. huh? WE(?) arent basing anything off anything since this is just a discussion and does not apply to what actually happens.
  22. Google the articles of how Uber went after last year's prime time games. Folks stranded at the stadium until 2am and beyond. I'd have everyone chip in for a cheap rental. Totally worth it.
