1. And to what avail?

What POINT is there to winning 6 games rather than two, 8 games rather than 6?

    There IS NONE!

Long term there is NO chance that Kelly Holcomb will lead this team anywhere. Period.

Let me ask you this: Say holcomb starts and leads us to the playoffs. We get beat in the wild card. Do you consider this season a failure then? The NFL is about winning right now. It's not about rebuilding. You do what you have to do to win NOW. We've been rebuilding for six years it seems like. I want to see wins now, at any cost. I say screw JP Losman this year if holcomb is playing well and winning games. Thats an easy choice. If Holcomb sucks, and he might, then put JP back in.

  2. Hey, maybe you can accept yet another bandaid at the QB position, Lou.

    Not me, big guy.

    467294

We are 1-3 right now. Damn right I can accept a bandaid at the QB position, at least for a one week tryout. If we win this weekend, maybe he gets another start next week. If not, then put JP back in. This isnt hard to figure out. The coaches think (as well as a lot of players, i'm sure) that Kelly gives us the best chance to win this weekend. Period.

  3. Yes, I'm sure you and your myopic ilk would be devastated.

    467270

Your myopic ilk is playing like billy joe hobert. But we should totally keep him in there. JP is the future, right joe? JP has proved he deserves playing time. I'll always have a special place in my heart for that one touchdown that he threw. Or the way he led us down the field with a minute left against the bucs. Holcombs starting this week big guy. Deal with it.

  4. Good for you. Hope you enjoy losing anyway, because that's what's going to happen with that stiff back there. The guy was perennially locked in a struggle for a starting job with Tim Couch for a reason, you know. HE STINKS!

And guess what, Einstein....The OL still sucks.

So does the Defense. This team isn't going ANYWHERE anyway. Maybe it's time you came to grips with that.

I think it would have been interesting to be in your presence during the super bowl losses.

  5.

You were ripping JP to shreds just last week and you're calling ME a pessimist?

    466992

No lady, I was calling you the pessimist of the YEAR. Thats much more special than just any old pessimist. Go back and read all your recent posts, they're overflowing with negativity. I would like to see JP succeed as well, but after four games, guess what? Its obvious that he isnt going to take us to the playoffs. This my friend, you can tell after four games. So rather than throw in the towel, start a veteran and see if he can do any better. Maybe we win a couple here and get back to 3-3. The moment we are out of the playoff race, stick JP back in for the rest of the year. I love the Bills and refuse to give up on the season after four games. If this means stalling the development of JP Losman, I could care less. I want to see the BILLS WIN. JP has done nothing to show me we should just hand over the reigns on the entire season to him. We should make a move while we're still alive for the playoffs, and thats what we are doing.

  6. NEWS FLASH EVERYBODY:

This is why the Bills signed Kelly Holcomb, as a back up policy in case JP pissed himself. Now that we are 1-3 we should just flush the rest of the season? I am a firm believer in lining up the best 11 guys you have on the field. I can tell you every guy in the locker room thinks that as well. Kelly Holcomb is the best they have right now. If that is a good thing or bad thing we won't know until Sunday at 4.

    466977

Great post, Coach. My thoughts exactly!

  7. It's best for the team? How do you figure that?

There is NO !@#$ING FUTURE with Kelly Holcomb.

Zero. How are you going to know what you ahve in JP after FOUR games? idiocy.

    466962

You're so high on JP Losman you cant stand it, can you? :D Have fun watching Holcomb this weekend, buddy. Then again, you'd probably have more fun watching JP going 6-20, 68 yds and an INT. And if your going to call someone an idiot, at least capitalize the "I" at the beginning of a one line sentence. Joe Six Pack for pessimist of the year on TBD.

  8. What is the point in delaying JP's development?  Of course it is going to be a rough road to travel, but I don't see the point in pulling out the rug after just 1/4 of a season.

    466954

The point is TD is probably starting to feel the heat. If he lets JP ruin this year by "developing" as a quarterback, then we go 4-12 and TD has another gem to put on his resume. If we do that bad, chances are he gets canned. He knows he needs to win now, and Mularkey isn't going to win over anyone winning four games either.

  9. Well, that's what it is, like it or not.

I'm rooting for this to fail so that the fool coaching this team is exposed for what he truly is. Not like it matters, though.

    Why do I bother?

    466917

Rooting for your favorite team to fail? You should try and stay positive about this. Its best for the team, and heck, someone besides Josh Reed might catch a pass this week. Go Holcomb!

  10. Bledsoe is not having a solid game, bro. They're losing to an Oakland team whose defense is worse than it was last year.

    461974

I'm not watching the game, but I looked at the stats, and if JP had stats like those I'd be a very happy guy right now. I'm on yourside though, just upset at the way things have panned out so far.

  11. Hey man, go F yourself.....I'm trying to find something positive from the day to build off of.....if I have to take solace in Bledsoe crapping the bed, then I gotta do what I gotta do. Get over it!

    461957

except that bledsoe didnt crap the bed, he's had a solid game. Although he doesnt have any td's to offensive lineman this year, so JP's got that on him.

  12. I agree with Leinhart but not Bush. Willis is our best player. I rather see us run the ball with Willis every play than what we're doing now.

If we can get Leinhart or Marcus Vick, I'd do it in a heart beat. Just find a veteran to start a year or two tops. Those two won't take as long as JP to develop.

    461533

Good call, and I forgot about Marcus Vick being available, although his past makes me a little nervous (see travis henry). Someone like Reggie just strikes me as a talent that rivals the likes of Ladanian Tomlinson. I'm sure willis would hold out for a trade if we did something like that though.

  13. I agree - neither of these guys is the future - what scares me most about Losman is not his decision-making - that will get better - but the guy is simply not very accurate - I'm not sure he has the right stuff.  Holcomb might need more snaps - he has been a joke so far.

    461535

Wasn't JP supposed to have the rocket arm and accuracy of Brett Favre?
