  1. Why is that? They are younger, the guys they brought in last year played well for being thrown into the fire... they beafed up the O-Line, etc. So we lost McGahee, Spikes and Fletcher - that must spell doom. B-):w00t:

The 0-8 reference was just a joke, I was just trying to roll with this thread. In all reality, I think we might have a shot at a wild card this year. The loss of McGahee, Spikes, etc. seems like its going to hurt, but hell, we didnt win many games with them anyways. I'll take the youth/character movement over the aging veteran/overhyped running back team anyday.

    Go Bills!

  2. So your top three guesses are 0-8, 3-6 and 5-3?

Looking at this schedule, part of me thinks we could finsh the first half of the season 0-8, but another part of me thinks maybe 1-7, but another part of me thinks maybe 2-6, but another part of me thinks maybe 3-5, but another part of me thinks maybe 4-4, but another part of me thinks maybe 5-3, but another part of me thinks maybe 6-2, but another part of me thinks maybe 7-1, but another part of me thinks maybe 8-0.

    ...sorry, I couldn't resist.

You forgot we could be 3-6 after 8 games.

  3. Would McGahee be happy about going to cleveland? probobly not and that is what I believe the biggest hurdle might be.

Is it possible to trade Mcgahee back to the "U" ? I know he'd be at his happiest there.

  4. Claton's Info on Dillon

Dillon, who asked for and received his release from the New England Patriots last week, will visit the Buffalo Bills Thursday with hopes of landing a job. The running back has been in conversations with several teams during the last week. Buffalo is his first visit.

After finding out he would get only eight to 10 carries a game with the Patriots, Dillon wanted to be released and the team granted his request. His agents have since made contact with the Jets and Eagles along with other teams, but the Bills are the first team to show viable interest.

McGahee update: Talks between the Bills and Ravens continue to heat up for Buffalo halfback Willis McGahee. McGahee, who is entering the final year of his contract and wants out, has been on the trading block for the past few weeks and the Bills are trying their best to move him. Over the past two days, the Bills had visits from Dominic Rhodes and Chris Brown and they are going to look at Dillon on Thursday. If the Ravens are going to make a trade for McGahee, they will likely get it done soon.

Marv loves a washed up runningback!!

  5. Back in the middle 90's, I undertook the same task, getting an autographed card, of every player, on one of those four rosters. I wrote most of them, c/o the Buffalo Bills at 1 Bills Drive. I had tremendous success...the only holdout was, and continues to be, Mark Kelso. I did obtain an auto'd card of him, off of Ebay, but I can, to this day, not forgive Mark Kelso for the snub.

I used to write letters and enclose cards for autographs back in those days too. Sometimes I'd send two cards at a time and get them both autographed. The funny thing is, I think I got Mark Kelso's back the quickest, and he wrote "God Bless you" on the card and then signed it. It was one that stood out very much.

I may have a couple Carwell Gardner card autographs and if I do I'd be glad to give you one. I'll check.

  6. I believe his contract is up after this year, and I know he is getting up their in age, but this guy is the best player on our defense.

Marv says he's looking for high-character guys for this team, so do you think he'll re-sign London or is he playing out his last few games as a Bill?

  7. How the hell can these 2 geriatric idiots pick a second round player WITH THE 8TH OVERALL PICK IN THE DRAFT??!  This team is officially out of the playoffs for 2007, and should consider picking Brady Quinn next year.  :(  F*CK YOU MARV.

Comedy Central actually had live draft coverage for the #8 pick. Maybe they knew something we didnt.

  8. Listen everyone - we will all spend the rest of the afternoon p i s s i n g and moaning about this pick, but it is a NEED without a doubt.  We gave up 55 RUSHES of 10 yards or more last year and we really NEEDED a dominant safety that can support the run and cut down on big pass plays.  Look at what an impact Polamalu made in Pittsburgh and Boulware in Seattle - no question that they were MVP's of the defense.
