1. Note to my fans!

    By Takeo Spikes

    September 26, 2005

To all of my fans: I really appreciate all of your support. I want you all to know that a warrior gets wounded but always returns to the battlefield stronger than ever!

I for one am going to miss him this season, and hope for a speedy and full recovery. Maybe he could put on 100 lbs in the next year, and play some o-line as well. Best of luck TKO.

  2. and let me preface this by hoping I am dead wrong.......

Losing Takeo Spikes was huge for this team....just huge.....

His loss brings the defense down...the defense that was supposed to be dominate so we could bring a young QB along slowly.....

God I hope I am wrong

Theres nothing wrong with facing reality, and we are going to struggle to be consistent on defense as well as offense. Should Takeo heal and return the same playe next year, Jp get some good experience, and hopefully draft O-line in every round next april, we should be a playoff contender next year. These injuries happen though, and they are unfourtunate as well as untimely. I put my faith in JP becoming a quality NFL quarterback, and us picking up some lineman this offseason that can play. Those things combined with Mcgahee would make us tough to beat, or at least competitive with the leagues top teams. I'm sure Donahoe has something better in mind though.

  3. :( Wow!! I feel bad for Takeo. Have we hit bottom yet, or can things get worse???

Willis getting injured would make things a lot worse. I'm going to miss TKO however, he's the one bill who played with an intensity not matched by many in the league. He was proud to be a member of the buffalo bills, and he played like it. Here's hoping for the best for Spikes

  4. "The Titans acquired Henry from the Bills for a third-round draft pick in July, just before training camp. Henry started 48 of 53 games in four seasons with the Bills, rushing for 3,849 yards and a 4.0-yard average, and has 67 touchdowns."

    67 Touchdowns?

They meant to say fumbles. And times tripped over ones own feet.

  5. Clearly JP is overwhelmed at this level right now.  He probably has what it takes to lead this team to maybe 3 wins this year.  The staff needs to decide if they want to make this an on the job training year for JP?...or do they give Holcomb or Matthews a chance to "manage" the offense and get us some wins.  We still have an entire slate of AFC games to play.  I do believe either of those two guys could make the intermediate throws and make better decisions in the red zone.  It's an interesting call to make.  JP needs confidence but he won't get it on the bench.  If he plays though, it's only a matter of time before people like Moulds starts bitching and the coaches who get paid tons of money to win games start feeling serious heat. Heck, they already are.

They made that decision when they let go of Bledsoe and pronounced JP the starter. Stick to your guns.

  6. The most important decision the Bills "brain trust" made in the off season was to get rid of DB and turn the offense over to JP this season (as opposed to later when he might be more prepared).

It is entirely fair to compare what the other guy is doing.  Lord knows there were many on this board that were doing this after the first preseason game and in the first quarter of the Cowboys game against the Chargers.  For some reason, some of you guys don't like the comparison any more.  I wonder why.

Thats right, Pete. I'm with you.

  7. The Aints are going to beat us.

Americas darlings in their "Home Stadium"

Deuce McAllister,Joe Horn,Dante Stallworth. We are in real trouble next week.

Another performance like the one today would be a great contribution to hurricane katrina relief. We'd be giving all saints fans and new orleans a reason to smile.

  8. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you blind ignorance personified.

do you HONESTLY believe that Bledsoe wouldn't have taken 6 sacks in that TB game?

Come on man....were you sleeping the previous three seasons?

    453960

Yeah lady, but I also believe he would have had solid passing stats and led us to more than two touchdowns in 20 trips to the redzone.

  9. You're right, I'm watching the Schittsburgh game, not the stinking cowboys.

I bet you miss Drew, don't you?

If you SERIOUSLY believe that Drew would have a better record than JP as a bills starter this year, you're NUTS.

    453934

Wow. What facts do you base these assumptions on? 75 yards and a 33 qb rating? A twenty yard scramble. A run out of the endzone for a safety? Four piss poor deep balls to moulds and evans? I hope to god JP turns the corner and becomes an elite quarterback, but I have a hard time believing bledsoe would not have won just as many, if not more games than JP this year.
