  1. LOL!!! That was the opener. Read about it here... http://www.sunherald.com/251/story/798064.html "And Porter showed them he can play. "There was no doubt," Saints safety Roman Harper said, "that Tracy Porter could cover man-to-man, and that's what he did today. You never know what kind of impact he can have for us. But he really played well." The Bucs' Antonio Bryant got behind Porter in the third quarter, but Porter recovered to break up a pass from Jeff Garcia in the end zone. Porter denied Bryant one more time before the Bucs burned their final timeout with 4:51 left in the game. We've seen enough of Jason David to know he isn't the answer at cornerback. With veteran Mike McKenzie still working his way back from reconstructive knee surgery, the Saints need Porter to make a difference." And yesterday... http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/2...NO_Gamebook.pdf 3 tackles, sack, TFL, QBH, INT and PD not a bad effort at all... "hit for the cycle" and one of the main reasons the Saints protected their early lead...
  2. Yeah, best at WHAT???? Like, DUH... BEING A CORNER.... COVERING NFL WRs in solo MAN COVERAGE and ERASING THEM..... STATS or no stats, the kid Tracy Porter is awesome at coverage. Leodis isn't. But Leodis can hit... at least...
  3. Lying about "hindsight" is part of DENIAL. Porter was IDed as the best corner BEFORE THE DRAFT as usual...
  4. There you go. When spending the #11 overall, you want a KR, not a shutdown corner. Look how well Ten Ginn has worked out as a #9 overall for the Fins - heck, they just beat the PATS, so there!!!!!!!!! Perhaps amongst the Bills faithful is someone who can acknowledge the painfully obvious. Leodis isn't starting, isn't even the nickel. When got out there, he was picked on. Tracy Porter swatted away two balls at the end of the Bucs game, the opener, and yesterday showed again what happens if you decide to test him - you PAY. By midseason, teams will be avoiding Porter, and Leodis might get closer to winning the Nickel job from Youboty... But heck, he can return kicks.... just NOT AS WELL AS PORTER CAN EITHER.... Porter was the best PR in the Big Ten. Leodis was in the SUNBELT....
  5. When the truth be told, the faithful respond in the only way they can... with denial, jealousy, and anger...
  6. Once again, not even close. Tracy Porter is the best corner from this Draft hands down, and Leodis isn't even close. Nice going Bills FO!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. "understand," not introduce. I was trying to speak down to you birdbrains... The actual plays were very impressive. King was in single coverage in the corner of the endzone and swatted a catchable ball away. Twice he came up and make the solo tackle behind the LOS.
  8. Ah, the STAT PARROTING LIAR is at it again. How to judge a corner. The corner opposite Deion averaged 5 picks and many more PDs, while Deion averaged much lower. Why? LOL!!! The opposing QB knew not to throw against Deion. Indeed, the pathetic parrots here cannot ID where King was ever beaten, because he was rarely tested here. On a Monday Night against NE, Brady was sacked because he looked at the guy King had, pumped, and decided against throwing. Stats for corners are the opposite of a quality measure. Stats measure just how much a given corner was targeted. If one corner is thrown at 20 times and the other 3, Ramius is SURE the one who was thrown at 20 times is better, because Ramius understands precisely nothing about football except PARROTING. Justin was ACTIVE but did not play. Being a backup C is like that.
  9. Moss doesn't like the quick slants because he gets hit on those. He likes the deep ball where he goes untouched. Cassel cannot throw that pass. Moss is likely to push for O'Connell, who can throw the deep ball... even on the run.
  10. Jared Allen = First and Third and top dollar King and Justin - Fifth and Sixth for minimum wage Eric King has more tackles for loss this year than Allen...
  11. To anyone who watched the second half of the Titans-Texans game, Eric King was outstanding replacing Harper, deflecting a sure TD and making two tackles for loss. But then, one would have to understand football to notice that...
  12. Title should read "to defend it" at the end... Well, it was first obvious last week when Randy Moss kept breaking off routes as if he knew Cassel wouldn't look at him. Or perhaps the Fins had some high school film of Cassel, since that is the only film of him ever starting. Regardless, a home loss like that to the hated Fins is naturally going to trigger some soul searching, especially with a BYE week to make it that much more painful. Another late Third Rounder from the West Coast could be about to start in the AFCE. Just when you thought it was safe to roam and eat grass...
  13. "Show me where I doubted you. I asked you for a link, nothing more, because that's how we operate." LOL!!! You asked for a link because you did NOT doubt those claims??? LOL!!!! As for the insults, well, your reading comprehension deserves some if you think I am the one who started them here. I came in with a legit football topic that was going fine until the insults aimed at me started about King and Justin. I am not "infatuated" with either, even though several here are, but it takes at least a 300 on the Verbal SAT to read this thread and pick that up...
  14. "There's nothing unique or special about Geisinger or King. " King is particularly excellent at basic man coverage. Justin is very strong and can open holes. Both are smart and high character. Both were tested by top competition. King was a finished product when he left, which is why he won the Bills nickel job over Greer as a rookie. Justin was a position switch, and it took a little time to get that down, but Justin is a road grader as an interior, and extremely bright for center. Justin has Pro Bowl upside as a center. Hence, despite being mid Second Day picks, both are not only still active on Sundays, but the teams with each are very happy about both, while the rest of Rounds 5 and 6 from 2005 consists mainly of busts who are out of football... and that is the true comparison here, the one you keep making for me by bringing it up every time I post here.... Just pray Rabach stays healthy, because Justin won't give it up if he gets in there...
  15. If you cannot believe your own eyes... then you are indeed "parroting" instead of thinking for yourself. You were the one who doubted my claims. Now that they are proven beyond doubt, what do you do... "true" Bills fan??? You deny your own eyes...
  16. Tony Palmer was liked by the Rams and Pack. The Rams were sure they could get away with him on the PS, just as the Chiefs were with TFG Rec Ryan Lilja, who was claimed by Indy and got $20 mil this offseason even with his bad knee. Palmer was claimed by the Pack (#5 that year) and was praised and ready to attempt to win a starting job in 2007. Then he broke his neck, and had to retire... Those who celebrate football injuries... are the same ones who take mini quotes out of context. Bobby Carpenter was a great player for Ohio State, who then broke his ankle, and TFG never "Rec-d" him in any way. Clint Ingram was my top OLB value that year - a dead on correct call once again... Anthony Montgomery is absolutely a stud 2 gap DT (in one gap Skins D) who was by far the best DT value in 2006 - a dead on correct call once again... he just has a tude rap. Keep the select distorted quotes coming. For those who check and love the Bills, they'll start demanding the FO hire me...
  17. Who is "The Swami?" You only hate the third person when the third person really is... what the name states...
  18. But I had Cutler ahead of Matt, and since Matt went ahead of Cutler, there was never a pick where I would have considered Matt. That REALITY problem... So, yeah, I was "less wrong" about Matt and Bush than the "consensus" ... or... I was more accurate than anyone publishing on the Internet... take your pick.
  19. I had Cutler ahead of Matt and Jon Joseph as my only First Round DB. I liked Ko in Round 3 - went top of 4 - and Whitner... in Round 2... Neither Huff or Matt L was on either the Rec or the If They Fall board.
  20. And yet again, if someone doesn't play, he must sukk. Funny, because this exact poster previously claimed he IDed Tom Brady, who didn't play much at Michigan... Don't play at Michigan - good. Don't crack the Skins starting OL - bad. Such is the jealous rant of those who always bring up King and Justin whenever I post here... Want to assess Justin? Watch him play, and if you don't accept preseason, wait until he starts in a regular season game. Parroting games started and the rest is a pathetic excuse that justifies shouting insults at the Draft "Guru" who panned the trade up for McCargo...
  21. "it is pretty obvious you're intent on moving goalposts and making up new arguments to fit your backwards "Parcells sucks" premise." I never said he "sukks" - that READING COMPREHENSION problem here again. I said he was DUMB about Penny and McCown. Parcells is a HOF coach. That doesn't make him a great GM. Indeed, he really got, at best, the fourth best OT from this Draft, perhaps the Fifth except Chris Williams has a heriated disk and is out. Otah, Albert, and Clady are clearly better players right now than Jake Long, who will never get any better. "I think he watched a lot more of Henne than you did. " is a typical BAWK from a PARROTING MORON who was "sure" that Reggie Bush was a better pick than Mario and that Jay Cutler was the #3 QB because "they know better than you." Notice there is never the courage to say "I saw Henne and my opinion is..." because nobody is more certain that such an opinion is COMPLETELY WORTHLESS than the BIRDBRAIN substituting PARROTING for one's own inability to analyze that which he watches every weekend. "I have no clue whether he'll be good or not, although # of games started and completion % are the two best indicators of college QB's producing in the NFL." You "know" stats and PARROTING, but have ZERO ability to assess a player you undoubtedly watched multiple times...
  22. "No, the issue is that you talk them up like they're the greatest players ever" Yeah, sure, then why didn't I have a First Round grade on either of them??? "and it's simply unbelievabl(y stupid) that the Bills let them go" = correct "Your continued focus on these two players is something that I just find weird, to be honest" Unlike either Eric or Justin, who both attended excellent schools, your reading comprehension is a little lacking. I almost never bring them up. The whiners who hated my accurate pans of certain Bill Draft picks - that is who brings them up, over and over, each time I post here on a different subject... this time about the idiocy of the Fins... "A fifth and sixth-rounder have carved out longer careers in the NFL than might have been expected" and that is the "bad" part of the TFG record. Thanks for making my point....
  23. I got it. I liked a Fifth and a Sixth from the 2005 Draft. One has been a starting nickel for the past four years and gets raves from each coach except the Dumb#### from the Ivy. The other is the Skins backup center who looked terrific when he played in preseason after switching from OLT. Both are smart high character kids. Considering that more than half of the players picked in those rounds never contributed anything and are out of football, the "fool" is the one trying to use such empirical facts as evidence against TFG. In reality, since that is the worst they can come up with...
  24. " There were lots of people on the forums I visit, including myself, who didn't like Reggie Bush coming out of college." LMAO!!!! Sure, pal, sure...
