  1. As @Shaw66  pointed out in his Rockpile Review, Roberts is tough and his teammates feed off of it. A million years ago, I was the kick/punt returner for my high school team, and that experience actually makes me nervous watching Roberts. One of the hardest and most dangerous ways to handle a return is to sprint north/south at full speed even if there isn't an obvious hole to hit. The chance of a violent collision (even with your own teammate) and/or a fumble is extremely high. But on every return, Roberts accelerates to full speed and just trusts his teammates and his own abilities to make something happen. It gives me anxious flashbacks to my days as a returner... but I totally effing love it!

That Josh injury was scary.  Couldn't believe he came right back in and eventually scrambled for a TD.

Even though he's a rare sighting, it seems like the few times Barkley has been in this year, he looks woefully unprepared.  Just awful.  I mean, the opponent is going to blitz on every play and he should be prepared for it if he throws.

Preparation can't mitigate a blown blocking assignment against the best player on defense.

  3. I'll never complain about a win, but I most certainly will complain about the quality of the broadcast today.  I lost count of all the screw-ups -- the announcers, the down/distance graphics, the scoreboard crediting the Bills with the points for the first LA TD, the doofuses in the truck showing the wrong replay angle time after time, etc etc.  Looked like a friggin' juco project by the students in Video Production 201.

The LB covering the RB fell down on the second pick.  If Allen was looking short instead of deep he could have hit the RB for a big gain.

Absolutely right -- Yeldon had no one within 20 yards of him because of the LB falling down, and raised his hand so Josh could see him.  Terrible decision to throw into double coverage instead.

Edge is a more descriptive term. Not quite sure why some folks have a problem with it.

I don't have a problem with it, per se, but it just strikes me as odd.  Every other position is abbreviated with one or two uppercase letters, and now we have a whole word typically written in uppercase.  I guess it's just an an OCD/pet-peeve type of thing.  Wondering if someday they will have SLOT or WILL or SAM or MIKE.

I did see Jerry Hughes giving effort, but you are right, it did seem that Johnson was the only one playing hard.

I'll also give props to Zay Jones. He didn't have many opportunities, but it looks like his early-season issues are behind him, and I loved his effort on the Ingram fumble recovery.
