  1. That 2nd is funny, but wasn't a real mastercard commercial IIRC
  2. You mean the 360 and the Wii might bring you back!
  3. I googled their website real quick and they are. Reading comprehension is hard for you, isn't it? I was responding to Tom's question about whether they were just rent-a-cops by explaining that both there there and then offering the timeline that the Daily Bruin had to show the difference. I made absolutely NO comments other then that, and you start putting words in my mouth and then start attacking me. You, sir, are a dipshit.
  4. Why the hell didn't they just drag him out instead of tasering the guy over and over? Seems excessive to me. There were both there. The guys with tasers, UCPD, are actual police officers. Lots of bigger Universities do this (like UTPD here in Austin). The timeline according to the school newspaper article that I read online went like this: 1.) The rent-a-cop performs a search of IDs, the student is found to be without his BruinCard and is asked to leave. 2.) The rent-a-cop decides that the student is not leaving quickly enough, and calls UCPD. 3.) UCPD arrives within 2-3 minutes, the student has already begun leaving. 4.) UCPD finds the student walking towards the exit of the library, and a UCPD officer grabs the student's arm. 5.) The student does not respond well to this move, starts telling the officers to let go of him and makes his body go limp. 6.) This is where the video picks up from.
  5. Even if he was, how does that excuse the cops response to him/ Yeah, because after all, what would happen to someone in another country has everything to do with what happened to someone, who for all we know is a legal citizen, in this country. Unless I missed a memo, we don't enforce middle eastern laws on arabs in this country.
  6. How the hell does the kid being a dumbshit excuse the police response to him? Everyone that wants to pin this completely on the kid has acted as if the police were fine.
  7. This was my take on it: 1.) The kid is an idiot and had no idea how to handle himself in that situation. 2.) Those cops are overzealous !@#$s. They've got plenty of police there and should have easily been able to overpower him without tasering him 30,000 times.
  8. Nothing - I misread it.
  9. Ya know, when I get near where there is a group of people smoking, I usually just don't breath for a few seconds until I'm past them. Blame Canada. Actually, blame the Parents. They're stupid. Its real easy if you have kids to just walk outside and smoke there, or somewhere else. Had plenty of friends whose moms did that growing up.
  10. It averages out to 1-2 hours. Some days when I'm in the mood to play video games I'll sit down and play em for hours, and other days I won't even turn my consoles/load up video games on my PC.
  11. So if you're passing them, then you're not standing in their smoke, right? Why are you choosing to breath when you are right in front of them? By saying that "their is a smoker over there too" in response to me suggesting that you cross the street says that you believe no matter where you go that you will be stuck in second-hand smoke. My response wasn't a rant on the world, it was a rant on your argument: No matter where you go, you'll be stuck breaking in smoke. My whole point was that with all of the air and space in the world, its not hard to avoid breathing 2nd hand smoke.
  12. Looks like a toy that would have been on the Family Guy episode where Peter loses his job at the toy factory.
  13. Yeah, same here. Though I did somewhat laugh at the idiot who was running around my apt complex at 4AM yelling.... "I GOT A PS3! I GOT A PS3! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE ALL GONNA KNOW IT! I GOT A PS3! WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" He only went on for a couple minutes and I fell back asleep wondering how long it was gonna take for him to get robbed. Guess he had no friends he could brag to.
  14. Oh good, we have 3 of these damn threads now.
  15. Oh yeah, this is the friggin dolt who voted for Rutgers to beat Louisville before he voted against em.
  16. I'd argue point 1. They're extremely competent at what they need to be: selling the news as entertainment. They aren't doing this stuff as a public service.
  17. If that was actually how it happened, don't you think the media would have come out and said it? That'd sell a lot more papers then a chain story about how John Edwards' staff members decided to go to Walmart to buy himself and Mr. Edwards a PS3.
  18. So, let me get this straight. You're against illegals coming into the country, yet you are for giving them incentives to stay by allowing companies to hire them?
  19. I misread what you said. I read it as that there will be a great system in a year, not it will be a great system in a year.
  20. lol, this is like History 101 all over again.
  21. Wait, San Fran's still part of the US? JSP - the best part about San Fran is all of the protests and what not for Pelosi not being liberal enough, lol.
  22. Although what I do find humorous is that the conservatives are so anti-immigration, yet support a company (Walmart) which has a track record of hiring illegal immigrants. I personally shop at Walmart a decent amount. They're friggin cheap, perfect for College.
  23. You're actually betting on this game?
  24. No, whats unbelievable is you actually attempting to make the argument that the world is so small and that there are so many smokers that you cannot move to get away from the smoke. Newsflash: The world isn't that friggin small.
