Or, people believe that the lines are much improved, and the part that needs improving the most at this point in time is the CB. -
Garrard signs seven-year, $60 million contract with Jags

Good deal for the Jags. -
Hell, I don't mind the guy, but the Internet stopping someone's film making career because he made that comment would be epic.

5 Random Players who you think will be good from the Draft
Chilly replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends on what "good" is. Do you mean good value (say, a solid backup/rotation guy from a lower round pick), or do you mean a starter-level player? Good-value Starters: Martellus Bennett Limas Sweed Antoine Cason Fred Davis Chilo Rachal Good value players: Jermichael Finley - helluva ball catcher, but not a great blocker (6th round) Frank Okam - starters potential, but some inconsistencies (3rd round) Ali Highsmith - could develop into a starter (3rd round) Marcus Griffin - will be a solid special teams player and backup (6th round) Allen Patrick - nice speed back (4th round) -
So, you are actually offended by it?

The comments on Michelle Malkin's blog are great, stuff like: This ad campaign is just as offensive as people carting around the Communist hero accessories paying tribute to Che, Mao, etc. It would almost be amusing weren’t for the fact that TOO many (conservatively speaking!) south the border are so damn serious about moving OUR border up this way. When are most pols here going to take the glaring hint? James Greenidge Queens NY I have a few questions for Mr Moran: 1. Do you live on the border? 2. Are you a reconquista supporter or is this just a “phase” you’re going through to make money off of? 3. Do you know what it’s like to have Latino kids insult you and this country as you’re trying to teach them how to use that “organ” between their ears? 4. Do you live in the real world? 5. Do you think that “controversial advertising” will make your product taste any better? 6. Do you think it’s right for a neighboring country to basically send people it refuses to take care of over to our country, to overwhelm our hospitals, social services, and public schools until they suck the teet of nanny state welfare government dry and move on to Canada? Oh, that’s right they’re doing that now. 7. Do you think that Spanish should be the official language? 8. With your new ad campaign, do you realize that you’re putting Absolut out of business? If you answer yes to any of these questions then you are, without a doubt, ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!! ABSOLUT LY STUPID!! And I thought they were interested in selling their vodka….When is someone going to tell them Mexicans prefer tequila, and now they have blown off their U.S. market!!

Nothing says your campaign is humming right along...

lol... She said Penn will continue "to provide polling and advice to the campaign." Sounds like a PR move. -
Dear Golfers, I've got a set of Ping Eye 2 (black dot) that I've used since I was like 14. My dad wants me to keep them in the family (sentimental value), but they are rusted and have some issues. Does anyone know how much Ping (or any other company) would charge for reconditioning of the clubs? Also, I'm a huge fan of the Sumo Squared driver. Has anyone used the sumo irons? Would it be worth picking up a set? Oh, and of course, as I know... "Its not the stick, its the stickee".

You mean because over history those religions haven't committed terrible atrocities in the name of their God? The fact of the matter is ANY entity, if given such societal control, is going to create such people. Those guys have been brainwashed since they were old enough to understand anything (kinda like children of hardcore Democrats/Republicans, but I digress). Add to that the fact that there's little social mobility, opportunity, or hope in those societies, and you have a recipe to create people who ain't afraid to die for a cause BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE MUCH TO LIVE FOR. Continuing to try and place blame on a single factor is retarded and VERY American. As if terrorism in human history started and ends with the Muslim religion. (Thanks AD) Oh, and read this: http://www.twq.com/04summer/docs/04summer_atran.pdf Pete: I wonder if NPR will post a link? Boston: lolz
-
Do what, exactly? You need to address the root causes of terrorism in order to wipe it out, not just the people who are currently using it.

I'm not buying that article. He tries to select a pool of candidates, and then says "1 in 100" without giving any justification or research backing that up, outside of saying that he's done some. Other things seem worded to mislead on purpose, which make me believe that this isn't a fair-handed look at the matter: The final popular vote was 44%-42% throughout the entire election. This landslide victory was made up of a 34% popular vote for the party that the candidate runs. In the first round, the one he is referring to, Ahmadinejad also garnered less than twenty percent of the support. It is? Attacks on an invading force is impossible to justify outside of religion? WTF.
-
A list of 36 names/attacks is not proof of a "large percentage" of anything.

Figured you couldn't do it.

It definitely works for Christianity to say that you are not able to separate the founder's actions from the religion they created, as the Bible suggests to one to model themselves after the founder. However, the Qur'an goes out of its way to specify Muhammad is nothing more than a prophet, and lays out the groundwork/rules for living. Besides, the overwhelmingly more important thing is how the follows act and believe, not what the founder did. Back that statement up. You need to keep going to find the source of extremist strains of thought.

Are you suggesting that this 3-year-old girl has not been brainwashed, but rather read the Qu'ran and came to this decision?

Talk show host suspended (fired?) by Air America radio
Chilly replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Being less crappy than the other guy isn't a justification for being crappy. -
Which is really the fundamental part of my argument: It is not the religion that is causing terrorism in the first place, it is the religion that is being used by terrorist leaders as a justification and a tool to accomplish their ends (as has happened all throughout history).
