  1. Just remember Ted Marchibroda had Ozzie drafting for him to. Perhaps a few more players on our team could be all-pro's with the right coach.

While Ozzie was on staff in Baltimore previously, he wasn't named GM of Baltimore until 2002. Marchibroda was gone in 1998.

I saw Billick, "the offensive guru's"work with Baltimore's offense over a 9 year span. I was unimpressed to say the least.

  2. His teams were also in the playoffs several times

Baltimore's teams under his watch(and Ozzie Newsome's drafting)

were loaded with oodles of All-Pro and even Hall of Fame talent.

Even Norv Turner could have produced siimilar results.

Billick preens for the camera way, way, to much, and I'm tellng you right now, Ralph would not put up with him.

  3. UGHHH.

Billick is nothing more than an arrogant, ASS-CLOWN and I have a very hard time seeing Ralph sign off on even interviewing him.

Remember: Ralph likes "nice" guys as his coach and Billick really doesn't fit that profile.

Billick is the furthest thing from an offensive guru and infact he is just plain offensive.

    Next.

  4. With the 9th pick in the NFL draft the Bills select:

    Ndamukong Suh!

He is been taken a little bit of a beating recently from the press, rather than the fawning over him before.

Bills swoop in and take advantage. Nix sees the potential in Suh.

With Suh, Stroud and Williams we will have the deepest DL in the league!

:flirt: Even crazier....Sam Bradford falls to the second round and in your words:

Bills swoop in and take advantage.

  5. Trade Lynch to San Diego he would be back in his home state replace the aging Tomlinson if we could get a Late 1st round pick I think that would be fair. What do you guys think?

    .

Why settle for only one pick?

Maybe we could get them to throw in a 2nd, 3rd and 4rth rounder.

( Hey, that Vincent Jackson guy at WR would be a nice throw in too!)

  6. Seattle also kicked Shaun Alexander to the curb when he wanted more money too. How's their running game been since then?

Considering Alexander rushed for a total of 24 yards the remainder of his career after leaving Seattle--

dumping him was a smart move to say the least.

  7. Not really. Seattle traded one of their LBs away because they didn't want to pay him. Remind you of any moves the Bills have made?

Seattle grossly overpaid for Peterson, asked him to take a pay cut,he wouldn't, so they dumped him on the Lions. They got a player and a draft choice in return.

That compares very little with Bills cash to crap philosophy which permeates all aspects of the organization.

  8. OK Fred Jackson has the RB position locked down....nuff said.

That being the case, why not make Lynch your starting fullback?? He seems better suited for it, he likes contact and if you are old enough to remember, we had a guy with OJ named Jim Bracton who has his share of carries and gained lots of yards for us in the mid 70's blocking for the Juice..

just a thought, maybe we could use him in this way.

  9. Like many of you I don't have a clue what's going on at OBD. Nix sure is playing the hell out of this though, not bad for a first timer.

Is there any scenario short of Lombardi being exhumed and revived to take over the Bills? I think I've read every possible combination today. Apparently the Bills are interviewing EVERYONE!

Please no poker playing references.

During Tom Donahoe's reign of error as GM, he was constantly referred to as a "Master Poker Player" here at TBD.

When Donahoe's card game was over he proved to be in way over his head.

Besides, in his introductory press conference, even Nix said he would never be mistaken for the smartest guy in the room.

  10. Wolf is retired and has indicated no desire to return to professional football as far as I know.

He will turn 71 years old the day after tomorrow, for what it's worth.

    Ditto.

Wolf could be hired to lead the search for GM and do an organizational review, etc.

but is a bit long in the tooth to take on the job himself.

Last year Cleveland hired Wolf to perform this exact function, but Randy Lerner did not take his recommendation and instead hired Kokanis and Mangini.

Who did Wolf recommend? Bill Polian protege David Gettleman who is currently the Director of Pro Personnel for the New York Giants.
