Update: Been progressing fine over the past few days, today being day #4. Well, the Dr. warned me that days 4 & 5 were going to be bad.. and they are. I dont want to talk at all, throat hurts like all hell, and I'm not at all for coughing and swallowing today. Im kicking up my pain meds, hopefully that'll help. I'll be around, I can still type (me thinks).

Reminds me of a joke: A guy is having an affair with his secretary. They take the afternoon off and head to a local motel. As evening approaches, she asks him how he will explain his late arrival to his wife. He thinks for a moment and then asks the secretary to take his shoes outside and scruff them up a bit in the grass. When she returns the shoes are covered with green stains and a blades of grass. The guy gets home and his wife says: "You're late. Where have you been?" He replies: "You know that beautiful new secretary I hired? I'm having an affair with her. We spent the afternoon together at a motel." She looks him over suspiciously, from head to toe. Her eyes lock in on his feet as she stares at the shoes. "Don't lie to me." she says. "It's obvious you've been at the golf course all day." been an "on my back" guy for the past three days.... next 10 days.

Like I said, I was in bad shape, so I had a number of procedures done for my case. Tonsillitis (removal of tonsils, mine wear swollen), Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (uppp for short, basically the shaving off of tissue from the back of your throat and the uvula, septoplasty (straightened out my deviated setpum), and a turbinates reduction. I know it was a lot, a 2hour procedure, but I slept last nght and hardly snored. Again, pardon the typos.. I cant believe they actually gave me liquid morphine.

I had apnea pretty bad, I was having near 100 sleep interruptions an hour, so over a full night's sleep, I was getting nowhere need the rest I needed. Hence the need for the surgery.

laughter is the best medicine, glad I got some love and laughs from you all. I'm home from the hospital, thanks for the best wishes. More upadtes coming when the morphine wears out.

This is nothing more than a list of the oldest players in the league that should retire soon. It has nothing to do with the lockout or harsh feelings towards the league. Not only that, but it was compiled in February, when the season was cancelled.

I guess this is the place for my LAMP, rant... Last night before the fireworks, Andy Griggs, who had just done a great concert, sang the national anthem. Well, everyone stood up, but some idiots kept yelling out and even worse, hardly anyone took off their hats. That really drove me wild... but boom and light displayed quickly distracted me, and all is better. Is it required to remove your hat when the anthem is playing?

I'd call you a virgin, but we both know what God did to your mind. As worn out as a cucumber in a convent. A butter knife in a world of steak.
