  1. If I was being optimistic Id say they'd go 16-0. But I'm a realist, and I definately think they can win 6 games. And it won't be a stretch for them to get 8. Now.... if they get 9 or more, I'll eat my hat and drink Dom Perignon. That's not gonna happen though. I think 6 is a decent guess. I'll revise and say they can win 5-7? That better?
  2. If that's true that he's coming back in October, you guys are in great shape. I wouldnt rush anything back. No reason in ruining his career.
  3. I kept telling my self that I didnt believe any of this Williams crap until he actually showed up. And he did, and he practiced. What's going to be interesting is how he deals with the press, scheduled for today. If he comes out with his helmet on, I think I might just fall over laughing.
  4. They had some Dolphins in the original vote too. I believe it was Griese/Csonka/Warfield.
  5. I had that Collier feeling coming from Matthew too. BUT! That last line was way off. When he said he was a non-believer. The plot line that worries me is of Kyle. Gee, he just pulled the ultimate, and now there's a witness, seems a little careless. And why the blackouts? Hmmm, is it 4400 induced, or is something else working on him?
  6. Pretty much that's close to it. The AFC East has long been the hardest conference in the NFL. And even by tossing out the Colts, it didnt make it any easier. Obviously NE is stil the top of the group, and Miami is still the worse. But the best is pretty damn good, and the phins are not the cupcake team everyone thinks. NE - 10-12 wins. I can't believe that they can go 14-2 by losing two top coaches. Look at the history of the NFL coaching staffs, and look at how teams struggled as other teams hired away coaches and coordinators. Regardless of how they did in the future, losing your staff hurts. That being said, they will be great, win the division, and go deep in the playoffs. BUFF - 7-9 wins. I'm sorry, but I'm not sold on JP. He may have all the talent in the world, but until I see it, I'm still waiting. Remember the hype on Marinovich, Couch, or even worse, Ryan Leaf. I'm not bashing the guy, but he is unproven, and that cannot be argued. The defense is still scary, and still so underrespected. WM is solid and can help JP Develop, so let's see what happens. NYJ - 7-9 wins. Its the Jets, and I can never give them too much respect. The reason is that I always see them as a self fulfilling doom prophecy. When they get good and start doing great things, they fall apart. The team looks good, even if Martin is getting older and Pennington is recovering from injury, the team still looks pretty good. Give them time before they jinx themselves. MIA - 6-8 wins. Even the worse team in the division can give you fits, ask NE. Saban is the man who's going to rebuild the frnachise, but it won't happen in one season. A last place schedule will help, but Feely isn't the answer, and Ronnie Brown needs to prove himself too. But they are not a 4-12 team. and I'd be surprised to see them out of many games early.
  7. Oh dear god please tell me that no one else calls it B-lo? That may be the ultimate crime and damn good reason to execute J.Lo on the spot. I mean, its not like Buffalo has that hard gangster feel to it. Please stop. Please. And start Roscoe, there's a reason you drafted him after all.
  8. They are reporting something about an incident in a hospital. Anything you know?
  9. Vanilla Sky was ok, the original in spanish is better. Some twists and the plot, but about the same. I think it was called Abre Los Ojos and also starred Penelope Cruz. Its worth renting.
  10. So sad to see them all pasing away. RIP Scotty... Favorite moment... ST 4, when they're back in the 80s and Scotty tries to talk to the computer. The other person tells him to use the mouse: "Oh, of course..." Picks up mouse and speaks into it "Hello Computer."
  11. I've always said that Buffalo has the most bitter fans ever.... Between the 4 SB and the NHL Finals, I got that first hand experience. But then you remind everyone of the 70's too. Wow, you guys dont let it go. But, I still you all for it.
  12. The fact that you'd consider this makes me sick.
  13. Ill say it. Miami! They were bad last year, but not the train wreck that the next to last team usually is. Saban is being looked at as a demi-god and the team is not used to losing, and wants to turn things around fast. That being said, the AFC East is the toughest in football, and getting in the playoffs is a battle that could take all the energy from the team. But all I can do is hope.
  14. Well... most of that is right. I rather enjoy being the odd one out. But more important, I'm glad no one here is blind enough to label me and toss me out. Go 'Phins! And I hope the bills go 14-2 and lose in the AFC Championship. All 3 losses to Miami Congrats on 2,000. I missed my chance at 1,000, so I'll wait for 2,000 to come around.
  15. YOU HAVENT SEEN SWINGERS!!! Oh man! You are going to thank us for introducing you to that one. So many lines.. I cant quote just one. So I'll choose not to.
  16. The thing about Supertroopers is that I dont put it on this list... That's a classic, hilarious, and easily a cult hit. I'm not ashamed of it, and I dont consider it a bad movie. I think I'm gonna have to throw that one in right now. Say 'Car Ram-Rod!'
  17. OK, here we go.... Air America National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. And my all time guilty Sin: Josie and the Pussycats. Let me defend this one, see... it was obvisously such a sell out movie, that they parodied the sell out, and place advertisement everywhere. The actresses are all hot, Tara Reid is at her best when she's a bimbo, and Rachel Leigh Cook is just plain hot. And the music.. the songs are all original and actually pretty damn good. Yes, I own the soundtrack too.
  18. We used to do that, but it gets expensive... 400+ band members and a 12 game season. And we dont get pais like the Who either. Basketball bands are a whole different animal, and one I love as well. In that case, Duke ranks up there... Hell, the whole Cameron experience is crazy.
  19. Every band is different, so you can't judge them all in one group. FAMU, Grambling and Southern and traditional audience dancing bands, OSU is a drum corp military band. These two are so different its night and day. But here's my short list of great college bands: OSU (Dot that i) FSU (Marching Chiefs, and my alma mater, the original Seminole Chop) FAMU (Marching 100 is a great show, and with all their proabtion, the only reason to go to games) Tennessee (Rocky Top!) ok... I'll put it here reluctantly UM (Michigan, ever see Miami's band? You can laugh them off the field) USC Trojans (Hail Troy) Texas If I left off anyone, my apologies, but I'm working off memory...and pain killers. Welcome #1Columbus. saw your team in person at the '98 Sugar Bowl... The one play I remember is seeing Joe Germaine get laid out byAndre Wadsworth... blindside hit. Gotta love those.
  20. Havent seen it yet, but cant wait to. Better than that, check out this month's Playboy with Diora Baird in it. Wow, she's a natural beauty, and one I'm looking forard to seeing in the movie.
  21. You get a second chance to quote it, and you still "spelled" 4400 wrong. I guess the other 3,960 arent as important?
  22. I think its suspicious that he cant be found after the memorial. I won't count him dead til he's in the ground. After all, he has yet to manifest an ability yet.
  23. Ive been rather dissapointed with the direction the second season was taking. It almost seemed that the show was completely different than what we saw in season 1. Well tonight's episode just completely brought me right back into it, Wow, what a show. Well written episode, and a complete twist to what we've been expecting all along. This makes me look forward to the rest of the season now.
  24. I love that feeling, but I dont find enough books that get me that way. The last one, I think, was Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas.
  25. so sont watch it. I was humbled by the story of the two men that won the Arthur Ashe award. Where's their MVP? Where's Championship? Don't be an idiot and watch something before you bash it.
