Stroud just doesn't seem to have "IT". Had a chance to get it close and at least give them a shot in the final 3 minutes and just straight up imploded. Game over.

Keon Coleman is gonna have a big game.

This isn't about playing conditions, it's about driving conditions. 50 people died in weather like this last year.

This team is a MONSTER right now. Super effective game by Allen. Did what he needed, forced nothing. Cook? Holy. Guacamole. Defense? Awesome. So pumped right now.

Von tore his ACL. Von would’ve been better than what Floyd is doing.
Uh, yeah, and that's the problem. Sometimes the best ability is availability. Full strength Von Miller has not been available and instead has been a huge money pit of disappointment.

The Bengals have one decent offensive game this year against a hamstrung 49er offense and slumping D. At night, under the lights, I see the Bills rising to the occasion and coming up with a convincing win. Bills 35, Bengals 24.

Ok, I get it. The Bills have looked a little flat over the last two weeks, but can we talk a little bit about recency bias?
Bad games happen, but to make giant sweeping announcements that the wheels have fallen off the offense is a huge overreaction.
Am I the only person who feels like I am in crazy land when people want to fire McDermott, fire Dorsey, and complain about too much Diggs? Dorsey is bad for Allen? McDermott is bad for Allen? Cripes.
Yes. Two "bad" games in a row. Acknowledged. But looking at the season so far, I guess I am just way more optimistic than most and am expecting the Bills to get back on track this Sunday.
This is a good offense with a great QB and a defense that has excelled despite injuries. I'll take it.

6 weeks in, is Deonte Harty an upgrade, a downgrade, or wash?
For all of the heat he took, McKenzie had, statistically speaking, the best year of his career.
As per usual, I'm just starting the discussion, which is sure to piss some posters off, but there you have it.
Discuss.

In seasons past this stat line would have been a disaster. Sure is nice to have a running game that does not flow through the QB.
I like "Patient" Josh.

With KC and the Bengals both suffering losses, I'm super curious as to how the narrative might change.
If the Bills win, are they "re-legitimized"?
If the Jets win, are they the sudden SB favorites?
Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Dude is all about the Civil War. North/South runner with just enough wiggle. Not expecting much but that's a nice highlight reel. The other thing I liked is that he seemed to have a knack for making something out of broken plays. Looks like he has some decent instincts.
Will be a preseason favorite and then chill on the practice squad barring injury, but a good pickup nonetheless.

What is it with guys who average 10 posts per year having half of those posts all be new threads for random thoughts? It's like they fancy themselves the quiet and wise mountain sage, so when they have a thought pop into their head, it's a giant occasion and the people MUST know about it.
If you don't like it you don't have to reply, thanks. For what it's worth, I've been a member of some iteration of this board since way back in the Rochester D&C days, so give me a little grace. Oh wait, you probably don't know what that even is. Long enough ago where I was posting discussions about the merits of Gale Gilbert as a backup QB (I was wrong about that, by the way. Reich was THE MAN!) or if Russel Copeland could step up as WR1 (He couldn't, I got that one right). Go shovel your driveway. Belinda.

It's gotten ridiculous. Reoorter/talking head: "The REAL reason that Diggs is salty is because a source close to the Bills saw McDermott step on Stephon's shoelace and when Allen went to tie it he didn't double knot it." It's getting silly

outstanding post
The OP sounds like the kind of guy who stays in a bad marriage for YEARS because he doesn't have proof he'll find another woman or that she'll be any better.
Can't live that way, man.Excuse me, what? The purpose of my post was pretty simple. I wanted a little more than the knee jerk "Fire McDermott" posts that have been making the rounds, so I asked "Ok, then what?" In the future, please don't attack my character or make assumptions about my personal life, just stick to the topic. Not cool.

Who is your replacement? Who will absolutely, positively, 100%, be that "better" choice you are clamoring for?
I keep on hearing "McDermott is the problem."
Who is the solution? Someone actually available to be hired.

Know what happens when you take a player like Josh Allen and continuously send the message "stop being a gunslinger, start sliding, play it safe safe safe"? You get the the playoff game against the Bengals. Allen got bombarded with that messaging by the media, fans and coaching staff in the days and weeks leading up to that game and we all know the result. Looked flat. Took no chances to the point where Diggs called him out on it.
Let Josh be Josh.

Before today, I’m not sure how many times I’ve heard the term “Arm Arrogance”. I’m confused by how quickly it’s spread, and why we (as fans of the most arrogantly armed QB in the NFL), see this as a bad thing. Chiefs fans don’t see it that way with Mahomes. They love it, and so should we. And Mahomes makes a lot of mistakes with the ball. Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking we have a “bad QB”. Josh Allen is the best QB that any of us have ever watched play for our team. I’ve been telling my son (9) how lucky he is to be a fan of the Bills right now. And it’s because of Josh Allen. When these “bad traits” lose a playoff or Super Bowl, maybe we have a different conversation. Until then, I’m not entertaining it at all.
This Defense is awesome. The score is not at all a reflection of how the defense played. Quite the opposite in fact. They silenced that offense. And after watching last night, I think they do the same thing to the Bengals.
After listening to Coach McDermott’s post game, his answer on Elam got me thinking. I’ve been screaming for Elam. Dane Jackson has done an admirable job, but Elam is athletically superior. He was all over Hill yesterday, not bad for a rookie. I get the impression that Coach uses the rookie phase in process as a way testing them. It sounds like Elam has answered the challenge the right way, and I hope that it results in a start for him against the Bengals.
Stefon Diggs is a delight. I love his energy. I know the between the elbow injury to Allen, the need to commit to the run game, and the lack of production from anyone else, he seems to have disappeared the second half of the season. But the past two games he has been on fire. I’m hoping this week, we see what a full game of production gets him.
I love this team. I’m a total homer. I’ll defend this current iteration until they kill me.
Im not a fan of a Monday Night Playoff game. Sort of feels like screaming “*****” at 4am.
Just so you know, I only put "Arm Arrogance" in my Allen Bashers posts as a joke, because it's a truly ridiculous term......

Don’t embarrass yourself with these silly posts. “Its time to get Keenum and Barkley ready to go for next week because they RESPECT BALL SECURITY “ You’re just a pathetic, frustrated Bears fan who gets some sick pleasure out of trolling a winning board. Try and absorb this, Josh had a couple of picks, one being a tip that was right in Beasley’s chest and the other a ball that Smoke never made an attempt on. The strip sack was on him and he owned it. More importantly, after the strip sack and score, how did Josh respond? Two TD drives with a perfect pass to Davis. Long story short ChicagoDick, Bills advance to Divisional rd,at home after their 8th straight win. Try and restrict your comment to weather conditions or tailgating.
Dude, it's called SARCASM. Now, as they said waaay back in the old Rochester D&C days: Go shovel your driveway.

1/19/25 Division Round Playoff Post Game Thread Bills vs. Ravens
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
I'm going to refute the whole McDermott and Brady coached/playcalled "to not lose". This is silly. The Raven blew out their last 5 opponents leading up to this game and their defense has been spectacular. Henry ran for well over 100 yard for every single one of those games.
Was it a flashy game? Nope. But the Bills stuck to the run and rolled up 147 yards of rushing against a very strong rush defense. They made safe, high percentage throws and converted first downs. They won the time of possession battle. They won the penalty battle.
This was never going to be blowout game with long bombs to the endzone. Baltimore's defense is too good for that.
Defensively, McDermott and Babich used the blueprint provided for beating the Ravens: Limit Henry and expose Jackon's weaknesses.
As long as that plan was working, the offense's job was mainly to grind it out, protect the ball and not do anything risky or stupid. They achieved that in spades. Two hands on the ball and drive upfield. This was the right game plan against THIS team.
On to KC. That game plan will be much different. Go Bills!
