There isn’t a more hackneyed and coopted word in the English language today, but I agree with you regarding your use of it to describe Kelso.
It is overused, but loved hearing him get into the game or an issue. Opposite of Murphy who is stone cold boring.
-
Gonna miss Kelso. Liked his insight and passion. Hope Eric has the same technical expertise.
Next step is ban Murphy from play-by-play! Provides no insight, gets players wrong a lot and has little technical knowledge. Never seemed to gel with Kelso; always emend to be on different pages.

Loved the beerball!
Used to work at Tops in the mid 80’s and they were a staple at the parking lot parties! Also great for Bills games and camping at Allegany!

A bit off topic, but I am seeing Heady Topper and Focal Banger all over Vermont now. Is it being distributed in other areas as well? I live in central VT, and until recently had to travel 45 minutes north to find it.
FTR, not a huge HT fan. Focal Banger is better, but my fav Vermont IPAs by far are Fiddlehead and Hill Farmstead - Edward.
Definitely prefer Focal Banger over HT. Never had Fiddlehead, but Hill Farmstead has some great beers.
One of of my favorites outside of Buffalo is Dancing Gnome out of Pittsburgh. Great tasting across the lineup, particularly like Jam, an IPA. In Buffalo I love Thin Man Brewery Trial by Wombat, a NEIPA..delicious. Also love their raspberry sour called Minkey Boodle.
For those in Buffalo who’d like to try Heady Topper, I saw it at Murphy Browns on Main in Clarence. Not sure if they have any longer, but they do have a nice selection of craft beers in cans and bottles. Quite a few on tap also.

Everyone knows they want a WR or TE most likely. With the rush on those positions, who would trade with them?

Taking too long for a trade?

First two games are away... at the same stadium.
Hate no Monday or Sunday night game with Josh at the helm.

any Zicam users/believers here? I have tried it, upon feeling the first symptoms of a cold coming on, but really have no idea if it's being effective or not. I don't want to be too quick to credit it if I don't develop a full cold because often times that happens all by itself.
Zicam Rapidmelts. Works fantastic for colds. Start taking as directed as soon as you feel the cold coming on. Usually knocks it out in under a day. If you take after you are already been sick, usually shortens how long I don’t feel well. I swear by Zicam.
Not labled for the flu, but believe it reduces the length also.
Do not use the nasal spray/swab heard it can cause problems with smelling.

Ripped down an old Fanta Sea pool. Can’t believe how much wood went into making it.
Wanted it gone fast so I took a huge pickup truck load of it to a Modern site near Orchard park. $80 to dump it. Would have taken a couple more truckloads to get rid of the rest. Ended up burning what wasn’t stained or pressure treated. Lastly, cut up the rest and tied it up, took six weeks of dumping it at the curb to get rid of the rest.
Where I live I have to pay for garbage disposal, and they wouldn’t allow free dumping at their sites. Did you call Amherst and see if you could dump it for free?

I expected that because of the O line....if you have an O line that can actually run block/get out on screens...etc etc then Shady is the guy you want because he is a home run hitter
Could be. Though he had holes, he didn’t hit them fast enough trying to dance. Ivory just hits the and goes, shady shakes and bakes and doesn’t have the same speed he used to have. May have lost just a little, but that’s amplified in the NFL. Sit upper deck and can see how shady has holes, doesn’t hit them fast enough.

I think Shady stays one more year........it would be Ivory cut
Have to say, thought Ivory played better than Shady last year. Hit the hole harder, got the positive yards.

Exactly, the guys from all reports took a West coast flight across the country to visit today. I get Bills fans are one of the best things about joining the Bills outside of the paycheck, but not everyone wants to be bombarded with excited fans when they first get into town or off a flight. I know I am agitated after long plane or car rides so even so I cant blame the guy.
Flew commercial if fans have access. Wonder if if he expected a private flight, hence the annoyance?
Also expect that he signs today, or is gone and gos elsewhere. Got the $$$ to do it.

Brother lives an hour away from Fredrick in Severn. Psyched to hear about this. Disappointing to hear other franchises failed, especially if they aren’t training at the original.
Throwing beef-on-weck, Labatts, and “Buffalo” wings on a menu doesn’t make it good. Gotta do it right, expatriates know the difference.

The only thing I haven't really liked is the lack of updates from the other game. They should be showing as many highlights from the league as possible.
Great reverse and TD toss to the QB for Orlando.

Sean McVay has that guy who pulls him out of the way, Spurrier can't even walk out there. Needs that handcart Hannibal Lecter had in Silence Of The Lambs....

That was an impressive first half. Not perfect, not elite like the NFL but I’m impressed. I was expecting a disaster.
Thought it was good.
Teams appeared to have been prepped well.

It's tradition. I'm still pissed off at the MLB for allowing an intentional walk without making the picture throw four balls.
I'm conflicted.
Feel the percentage for a positive play on a kickoff, i.e.: greater than the 25 yard line or a TD, is outweighed by a the potential for a negative play. With the change in kickoff rules in the NFL, they've neutered the kick return team so it's almost moot.

Before tonight, I would have disagreed. After tonight, I agree. I would have bet the AAF was the league that would fail if I had to choose just one. Now I would bet on the XFL. If the AAF can keep this up all season, they have a chance.
Especially if the AAF sends some players to the majors. Will give them a jump on recruiting players.

Roof or No Roof?
in The Stadium Wall Archives
Posted · Edited by davefan66
No roof.
Nothing like an open air stadium. Don’t care if it had a retractable roof, or full on dome. Still not truly open air. Only compromise I’d like is the partial roof as long as I don’t feel closed in with it.
Only reason I’d like a roof are for those late December games. But honestly, there’s 2 or 3 a year? And out of those 1 or 2 are truly cold?
I’d like to see an extensive reno of our current stadium. Good location, great sight lines. May be old, but it’s still a great stadium!
