Again with the testicles. What’s that all about? Anyway, no need to be dishonest here, I responded to your initial inquiry about Kushner, the Saudi’s and our US government’s deep and abiding partnership with the Saudis. What else is there to say? https://www.state.gov/united-states-saudi-arabia-relationship-eight-decades-of-partnership/ When you’re all busted up and protesting JKush, are you upset about 3M, IBM, Boeing and the Holiday Inn? https://www.the-saudi.net/business-center/links-usa.htm

You need to look in a mirror, Tibsy. I know you thought it was hunky dory when you voted for people who claimed our ejections were not free, nor fair, nor legitimate, but what followed was near political certainty. In the end, one party of illegitimate elections was swapped for the other. You and the rest of the far left just got the party started.

Geez dude, you want the Israelis to stand down after their people were slaughtered, but you’re flipping your lid because you prefer your brand of election deniers over others? Think of it like Dr. Pepper v Dr. Thunder. You might prefer one over the over given a choice, but you don’t always have a choice.

That’s silly talk. It’s not criminal to disagree, though some people seem to want to criminalize dissent. Election denialism was already a thing in the House back in 2016-2020. I even recall that mean girl ripping up papers and throwing them about like Ken Dorsey after a failed shotgun snap/run on 1st and goal from the one. We’ll be fine.

He seems a bit like the Pied Piper, based on the response he got from a few of the posters here. Social media can be like that, someone creates a narrative that appeals to bias and it’s off an running. Though, all media can be like that.

Talked to my friend who has lived in the city for 20+ years, has an office downtown. He’s always loved the city (he grew up in the burbs), and suggested that absent family, he’d move from Chicago and never look back. Sirens are a regularity. Car jacking, mugging, violent crime off the charts. What a sad thing to hear.

Sometimes I think you’re just really angry at the English. Not people from England, mind you, but the language. -
Actually, I’m talking about reality. The system has been broken for decades, if not forever. People have been moved about for, towns and cities have dealt with the results for decades. It simply seems there are Americans unwilling to consider doing their fair share, or prefer to offload their share to others.

You’re talking about states, cities, rules and borders. I’m talking about people and shared responsibility. What I’ve seen is that people are often all about doing what’s right until the responsibility to help falls to them to contribute. Has there been a time, ever, where people that cross the border are required to set up stakes in this side of the border, or offered travel packages to the place of their choosing? Have families not been held in facilities against their will, moved by bus or plane to places unknown to them….or do they get to pick and choose where the federal government takes them? Is that trafficking in your world? No, the problem is that some people are not interested in sharing the burden. That’s heartless imo.

Look, if you're going to sell it, sell it hard! -
You say that as if it's some noble feat--it's the responsibility of the city to do just that. In NY, people who have travelled to NYC are moved upstate, and it's the responsibility of the cities and counties to care for those people. I'm not sure how else you solve the current crisis than by recognizing that the only logical solution to the hear and now is all parties sharing in the burden. The biggest issue I can see if that people in leadership never planned for sharing in the process, and quickly looked to jettison people once they ended up in their village.

I always liked Pence, thought he handled himself well enough on the podium and while def a bit extreme on the religious front for me, I thought he was ok. In this clip, he looks like a talking mannequin robot working off a very bad script. Give him an Austrian accent and "Dey are not smart. Dey are eevuhl." sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Conan the Barbarian. -
Then will people be welcome in Chicago?

Well, I actually provided two separate articles citing support for Hamas, but I suppose fair is fair. I’ve said as much about polls in the past, and seen cases where polling data was manipulative or misleading. It’s possible the polls are conspiratorial and misleading, that inside the collective soul of Gaza there is a massive, albeit silent, rejection of Hamas and its tactics, and a yearning for democracy, peace and brotherhood with their neighbors. At this point, there’s not much left to say other than like you, I hope the hostages are returned alive, unharmed or at least traumatized no more than they already have been. With luck, that would stop the hostilities for now. -

The original point you made seemed to be it was unreasonable/inhumane/brutal for the Israelis to deny unrestricted access for humanitarian aid to people in Gaza. I understand that on an emotional level--there are men, women and children injured and dying there as a result of the war. That said, I provided information that seems to strongly imply that a large percentage of people in Gaza support the government /dictatorship and their charter, which lists the annihilation of Israel as one of its principle goals. If your suggestion is that Hamas should immediately release all the kidnapped souls from captivity and work toward a peaceful solution, I'm 100% in agreement. If your suggestion is there is some path to peace and coexistence that involves no further bloodshed and return of all hostages, I'm with you. But what you seem to be advocating is that the Israelis completely disregard the health and safety of their citizens and allow unfettered humanitarian aid to people who support the notion that the destruction of Israel and death to all Israelis in the appropriate path forward. That simply doesn't make sense. As for people turning against Israel, I think that ship sailed a long time ago, didn't it? -

https://apnews.com/article/hamas-middle-east-science-32095d8e1323fc1cad819c34da08fd87 This is from the AP. And, no, I don't think there is any suggestion that the war effort currently underway by the Israeli's was based on a poll, trustworthy or not. The Israeli response seems directly related to the slaughter by Hamas. My link to the poll was in response to your suggestion that the Palestinians lived under a dictatorship and by extension, there was precious little support for Hamas. Again, like a faithful Australian Shepherd chasing after a hapless calf, I'll herd you back to the point. This is ugliness on a massive scale, but it seems naive to think the Israelis would be so benevolent as to encourage humanitarian relief to their mortal enemies when said enemy was holding Israeli hostages and threatening to broadcast their torture and execution.
