  1. The longer Wilson holds the ball, the worse his completion percentage and QB rating. He has a problem moving off his first read and working through progressions. Therefore, it may be more productive to rush four, blanket the field and force Wilson into poor decisions as the pocket collapses.

Yea, but the only thing I’ve learned is that if we do finally make a move on the deadline, I’d actually be surprised if it’s for one of these linked players to us … that’s why, even though fake, randomly trading for Hockenson would make sense given how tight lipped and secretive our FO is.

So, we should post random, speculative trade scenarios because they have just as good a chance to be traded to the Bills than those reported by legitimate sources?  Cool.  I heard Panthers might move OT Ikem Ekwonu to for mid-round picks. Get it done, Beane.

    Current playoff standings:

     1. Bills

     2. Titans

     3. Chiefs

     4. Ravens

      5. Jets

      6. Dolphins

      7. Chargers

      8. Bengals

      9. Patriots

    10. Colts

IMO, it's a good bet that the Jets will fall and the Bengals will get in. If so, we could have a VERY competitive first round. I think the Chiefs would be the heaviest favorite but it might be less than a touchdown.

Perhaps the Bengals are not a playoff lock.

  4. IMO, the Jets defense is playing at a legit, playoff caliber level. However, the offense, especially after the loss of Hall and Vera-Tucker, is terrible. Wilson may be the worst starting QB in the league and seems to have regressed from a weak rookie season. Unless Wilson steps up against the Bills, I think he'll be benched for Mike White in an attempt to save the season.

I believe the Bills offense could have a tough time versus the Jets defense, but it might not matter if the Bills defense creates turnovers and punts, which will allow Buffalo to wear down the Jets defense.

    24-10 Bills

You’re clearly not buying that the Jets are an actual contender.

Nope. I think the Jets have a very good, playoff caliber defense, but the offense is a mess and could spiral the team out of the running. Their saving grace is a schedule that has them at home versus Bears, Lions and Jaguars. They almost need to win this week versus the Bills to get to 9-10 wins necessary to make the playoffs. Remaining away games are at Pats, Vikings, Buffalo, Seattle and Miami.

  6. Current playoff standings:

Agree with the top 6.  I'd slot the Seahawks in there above the Giants.  NY barely moved the ball against them and lost outright.

Yeah, looks like I erased them. Meant to have them above the Chargers as Seattle beat those two teams. They have pretty "soft" schedule and could win their the division, but I'm not yet convinced they will reach a higher tier.

  8. I don't think Minnesota is better than Cincy, and might not be as good as the Ravens and Titans.

    My tiers:

    - Bills

    - Chiefs

    - Eagles

    - Dallas

    - Cincy

    - San Fran

    - Dolphins

    - Minnesota

    - Ravens

    - Titans

    - Seahawks (Edited)

    - Chargers

    - Giants

    - Packers

    - Bucs

    - Rams

For the first couple years of his career I didn't think it would ever happen, not because JA isn't capable but because the McD coaching style was supressing him to some extent.   McD has typically liked to slow the game down and switch to clock management mode running the ball anytime Bills got more than a 1 TD lead in games so allen never really saw those big 400yd games.   It seems the players mantra of not letting off the gas has started to rub off on McD this year.   For instance the Bills were still passing the ball even while up 31-3 against the Steelers 2 weeks ago.

Anyway,  Josh is on pace for 5600 passing yards  and 48 TDs this season with the Easier half of their schedule coming up.

McD was "suppressing" Allen?  McD switched to the run with a 1 TD lead? The "players" influenced McD?  What the &**%$ are you talking about?

    This premise is ridiculous.

Brown was dominant at times last year.  Like most of the O-line they have regressed.  Kromer not a good hire.

The line has certainly not regressed. They are not at all "dominant" but most likely in the Top 10. The running game has moved up to "average," which was about the same or better than all of last year. The improvement might be due to moving toward more pin and pull blocking techniques and the pressure rates have improved.  This is likely due to the starting five have actually played together the past two weeks. And just as important, over the first six weeks, most if not all of the opponent DLines are probably within the Top 10 in the league.
