See ya later, fughead. The world can breathe a little easier today. Not much. But a little bit.
Oh, and if you can't read that sign over the door, Yasser, it says "Abandon all hope all ye who enter here."

Congratulations, sir. Hope all is well with you wife.

It's a problem, this topic... because different people approach things differently.
If you believe 8-8 will make you happy, there will certainly be someone here to tell you that you shouldn't compromise or negotiate what originally would have made you happy. If you expected 10-6, and negotiate down to 8-8 and decide "I'm okay with that..." Well, then, hang on tight cuz you're about to get some redass extraordinaire from some madman (or madmanette) who thinks you shouldn't find it acceptable.
In the beginning of the season, I knew what record I wanted us to hit. And I knew what I DIDN'T want us to hit. And found a comfortable nook somewhere in the middle in hopes of keeping my emotions in tact so I wouldn't have to start killing people.

The Super Bowl at the end of this season. We have a special group here folks. Remember they said Elway couldn't win the big one. They were wrong about that and they are wrong about Drew. Imagine the look on Bill Bellacheck (fonetic spelling) when Drew throws four touchdown passes and zero picks.
Man, it's been a while since I've seen you here. I was wondering the other day where you've been hiding. Apparently you've started a crystal meth lab and have been helping yourself to the product.
(Sorry, man. Just kidding.)

I am not going to say that the Bills will win this game in New England, but I think it will be close, not the blow-out some seem to sense. Over the last 3 1/2 seasons, we have pretty much but beaten soundly by the Pats (exception being opening day 2003). Now that the Bills seem to be clicking a little better on offense, I think we will see that this coaching staff is much more adept at coming up with a game plan to attack the Patriots weaknesses (great as they are, they do have them) than the previous coaching staff. Gripe about MM/TC's play calling, but realize, this coaching staff has been very effective at making adjustments. When GW was here, you never had the feeling that we would do anything different, week to week, or half to half. I am looking forward to seeing what they can come up with. If the NE secondary is still banged up, there might be the temptation to let Drew throw a little more than the last few weeks. I like the way our recievers match up with their secondary, particularly without Ty Law....
BB won't let Drew throw the ball until we prove we can run on them. A few well-timed draws and screens should cool their heels a bit. Like you, I'm not overly optimistic, but I think we can make a game of it.

We stand a better chance of doing more homework for NJSue than we do of making the playoffs.

25% of the people you meet will dislike you for the right reasons.
It's only the last 25% that should concern you.
You and Lou Holtz have the same train of thought...per my sig below.
And while everyone here seems to be believe that Ice did the right thing, I am only left to note: Shaq's dad is right. I don't remember the last time I saw a white CB.

The letter needs to be "Thanks for the meeting...and oh, by the way, I WANT this job and this is why you should give it to me."
You can never ask for the job too many times.

In what may have been their most important drive in years, the Bills made a statement with their second half opening drive for the TD. By electing to kick off and defend against the wind so he'd have it in the 4th quarter, Herm Edwards was telling our offense (and their defense) that our offense sucks (and with good reason). It was put up or shut up time for the O and they responded in a big way. By driving 77 yards and eating up nearly half the 3rd quarter in the process the Bills tired the Jets and served notice.
I have a feeling that this was one of those growing up drives that will go a long way towards making us a better team. I look for us to have success on the ground against NE as well. It's beginning to come together people. Keep the faith.
GO BILLS!!!
An outstanding point. It seems like forever since we've had an opening half drive result in seven points, and I have no problem agreeing that what we saw was a "growing up" drive.

All this talk about the lock, and not one person thought to ask the important question: What kind of wine did you get?

While I appreciate the fact that the Dolphins are falling apart, I must be the only one disappointed by this news. At least with Wanny in there you knew what you were getting. This is a chance for a new coach to turn the team around next year. I prefer them the way they are right now, thank you.

As the old joke goes:
"What's the difference between real breasts and fake breasts?"
"Who cares."
Some guys prefer legs. Some prefer asses. Hell, I've got my own legs and an ass. I'm a breast man...to the core. Breasts are great, real or fake.

Sounds like replay games to me. But if they want to air live football on Thursday and Saturdays...all the better.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I'm a huge fan of prime time football, and you inevitably get some crap games (last night's Cleveland/Baltimore as an example). This is a tremendous way to increase viewers.

Does Jesus kick ass more than ninjas, I wonder...

This is really too bad. My understanding from the Jets nation is that this is the one injury they feared the most.
But hey...Quincy Carter can throw 50-yard touchdowns, so maybe all won't be lost.
-
You can especially appreciate him after that punt by Cleveland's kicker from the very short endzone last night. If memory serves, that kick made it all the way to the Baltimore seven yard line.

During halftime of the Baltimore/Cleveland game last night, Chris Berman had him as one of his "Halftime Heroes."
I hope the kid can take all of this.
And a side note to Clinton Portis, who told McGahee he'd never be as good as himself. Be careful there, Clinton. Looks like he may be pretty damn good.

Many thanks and much respect for all you've done and all you'll continue to do.
It was nice of Arafat to honor the day in such grand fashion.
