  1. Would any of you guys wake up at 12:01 AM to sign this atrocity?

Any of you High School football stars able to tell me what his contribution is to our LB corps? Since he signed with the Bills, I can't recall ever saying to myself; "that's why we made a big deal over this guy...".

Posey is a let down. Why not let Josh Stammer on the field...unless of course he's worse....

  2. All of Willis's chest thumping this week got me to thinking - is he that great? I really like what I see when he gets the ball enough, however, in his heyday, Thurman was an electric presence and showed in the biggest of games, (I can only hope WM gets a chance to lose a helmet in the bog one...). Anyway - if Willis was with the Kely QB led teams - how good woud the running game have been? I bet bottom dollar, Thurman would struggle badly with this team... Thoughts?

  3. I know JP does notplay DT, or OT for that matter. but after watching today, we really need to see what we have in JP. IN Holcolm, we have a rag armed QB who is a decent leader and can read pro offenses.

In JP, all I think I know is that he has a decent arm and can scrammble. From the rumors I think I also get that the team is not really inspired by this guy, and from what I saw - he's greener than Kyle Orton. That said, might as well let him take his lumps and see what he is about in weeks 15-17. If he stinkls up the place and has a mutiny on his hands, we could always go after the next Jim Kelly next year...

  4. I understand that pro-football players are idolized by the young and old and are, (regardless of what they want or say), role-models to young fans, however, I am a little tired of tuning intot he NFL network and spending the first 15 minutes on the Vikings debocle on Minitonka.

In a nut-shell - you have a boat-load of multimillionaires in ages ranging from 21-30 that chartered a boat for some...male entertainment. I have not read all the news, however, I do not think any of the players in question forced themselves any of these innocent woman of virtue. That said, these players were engaged in what I would bet is going on at this very minute in some Knights or Fire Hall for some lucky, (or unlucky), guys stag. These guys have the means and did what any of us would have done at that stage in our lives.

Peruse the yellow pages in any major city and you'll find 4-5 pages of "escorts". Unless you are REALLY thick, these are prostitutes hired primarily by white coller middle class americans with the white picket fence. Why the media acceptance or looking the other way? Some Joe salesman gets his jimmy waxed for a nickle, no big deal, a pro athlete gets a prime piece of American pie, and he get's chastised. I'll bet the athlete's date had a more memorable time.

Bottom line - 95% of American males in the age range of the players being persecuted would have given their left onion for a ticket on that cruise... And I would bet 95% of the fingers pointing at them have some skeletons they would rather not have known...

  5. Lindell.  No question here is a guy that many wanted out of town and this year he seems to have found his leg.  50 yard field goals( with plenty extra), kickoffs into the end zones  and overall accuracy on all other FGs.  This guy is defintely MVP of this team so far  plus who would have thunk it he be having a better year kicking than Moorman.

He's been good...but without Willis...he's not even getting a chance....

  6. And we would have likely lost both with JP in there.

We are in playoff contention, wake up.  I'll bet you have never played a down of football in your life, because teammates would never put up with attitude like this.  That is precisely why Moulds, Evans, etc spoke up about the change, they want to win.

Played a lot of downs - but playing armchair GM, I am just not seeing where we have alegitamate shot at being better than 9-7. Maybe that takes the division, but New England is much closer to a Superbowl team than we are. I know they looked bad today, but until we can play with the Pats, Steelers and other upper echelon teams, I just can't get jazzed for a playoff run...

  7. IMO JP needs to play at LEAST 8 games this year - preferably more. With any fewer next year starts just like this year.

I like winning as much as any of the rest of you - but JP needs to be in the huddle, making plays not stood watching on the sideline.

Look at the Niners - they're going with Alex Smith NOW - at 1-3, just like the Bills were...

I'm not giving up on the season - but if we are going to have any long-term success or a shot at the title it's going to be with JP at the helm. He needs playing time pure and simple.

If he's not back in in 3 weeks time, we'll be mortgaging next year on his development too.

Nick - You're dean on...we need to know what we have....

  8. Am I wearing rose-colored glasses?  No - Come on now...maybe a cheerleading pom-pom or two?

Have I given up on the coaches and the QB (the GM, the owner, etc)?  No  The GM is the only guy I have given up on ...that said, I guess a high fdraft pick does no good with TD anyway...

Do I think the team (5 games into the season with a 2-3 record) should tank the rest of the season to get a better draft pick?  Uh...uh...Fu#k No - But you have to admit - of the two wins, one was against a really bad team, (Houston) and the other against a team that is probably 7-9 at best...  Of the three losses, the two playoff teams whipped is red and the third loss was to a team that was amped by their first "home" game.  A convincing win Sunday might turn me around...

Normally I don't resort to name calling but, "kitty Quitter" fits you like a glove, bro. - Come on now...
