The point is a a 2 yard run on 2nd and 4 takes 40 seconds off the clock and avoids a punt back to Aaron Rodgers. It is fun to argue against common sense for the sake of it.

Nate, Brady and Manning don't run that play. They know better. Brady and Manning know you run the damn ball and win the game. I do complain about the play if it is completed because it was a horrible idea. The same as the Vikings game winning pass was a stupid play. Why Go Empty Backfield on a 1st and 2/1. Atleast pretend like you might punch the ball in, on a run.

I disagree. Spikes has had a big impact when he is on the field. If he makes just 1 tackle on 3rd and 2 a game he is making a huge impact on the outcome. Almost every game he has made a play where he Drops the RB in his tracks at or behind the line of scrimmage. I love Hughes but you stick any Speed Rusher on the other Defensive End with Dareus, Williams and Williams and they will make huge plays. Out of the two I think Spikes drop dead tackles are more difficult to replace. Again Hughes is making aha in the run game and pass game and just looks amazing but 1.) Who wouldn't look good on that line, Hell Manny Lawson who is not a speed rusher looked productive last year on that line. 2.) I always feel uncomfortable whenever has a big season in a contract year. To be fair the trade has obviously clouded this situation with Hughes. I voted Dareus, Truley difficult to find a replacement. OG - a road grater that can Run Block. Not a Tackle convert. A veteran QB - Freakin' Charlie Whitehurst looked better than Kitty Kyle - Get somebody else in the building. Plus I bet Hughes and Dareaus would like to see a QB to even consider signing a deal with the Bills. (Plus a vet would be smart to step into this loaded team)

Your personnel dictates your play calling. You call different plays if you have Peyton Manning, Russel Wilson, or Kyle Orton at QB . I get your bold talk. Go for the Guato! Make the Big Play! Break the game open with a big play to Woods. And in the 3rd QTR on a 2nd and 4 at the point in the game You take that chance. In that particular situation You have the ability to actually win the game with a couple RUNS and first downs. You play to win the game. Taking a risk with Orton and leaving 40 seconds on the clock is stupid. The punt and subsequent Strip/Sack/safety could have been avoided completely with just 3 runs instead of incomplete passes on that drive. Now punting and giving the defense more opportunities to score is actually probably the smartest move Hackett can make just so his dumb ass and joke offense doesn't screw anything up.

The issue is on 2nd and 4. Running the ball does win the game, because it guarantees either an extra 40 seconds off the clock or GB using a Time out. When the clock strikes 00:00 the Bills win. A run play takes 15% of the clock down or 100% of the Time outs that GB has left. The (unnecessary ) 3rd and 4 was just pure luck. Did you see Chandler tip the Ball to himself. The play call on 2nd and 4, the pass to Woods was asinine.

I think playcalling is different, especially situational play calling. I've watched football for over 30 years (where I had full consciousness and memory) and I can tell you definitely this is the wrong playcall: 2-4-BUF 26(4:06) (Shotgun) 18-K.Orton pass incomplete deep right to 10-R.Woods. Fly pattern, receiver at GB 45. Run the Damn ball! You need 1 first down to take the clock down to under a minute, and a second first down to ice the game. WTF are you doing!!! It is second and FOUR, you just ripped off 6 yards. Do it again. It is 13-19 game you do NOT WANT to 1.)Stop the clock on an incomplete 2.)Give the best QB in the NFL 3 mins to score a TD. That is playcalling and I damn well no better than the stupid (*^*&%^$^#that called that numbscull play call. By the grace of god Chandler bailed out Hackett and caught the 3rd down (stupid ass ) pass. It is sooo bad it is difficult to explain how bad this play call was. It could be in the Hall of Fame for most stupid play called ever in the history of the NFL. If that pass is intercepted Torches And Pitchforks would have been required to converge on the Hacket family home.

To me the roster is a list of every player on the Buffalo Bills no matter what their designation (46 active, 53 total, PS, IR, or other) Ok. we are all in agreement Mike Williams is currently under contract with the Buffalo Bills and a member of the Buffalo Bills.

1.) The easiest position to find on an O-Line is Right Guard, Then Left guard. 2.) Why would you move Glenn, who has never played Guard in the NFL to Guard in the NFL? The answer seems to be because we drafted a tackle from Alabama in the second round and he is on the bench. 3.) Why would you move two Top 40 picks (Wood and Glenn) to guard? and then fill, the more difficult to find positions Center and LT with Draft picks or Benchwarmers. The Line does need to be blown up. It needs more consistency. Henderson - Urbik - Wood - (Find a road grater Rin Blocking Guard) - Glenn is your best offensive line next year. Talent wise the line is there. The real problems for the line are more heavily related to 1.) Coaching 2.) Play Calling 3.) QB play.

Your cousin, Captain Foresight, should be hired for the job. -
Mike Williams is on the Bills roster, and will be until he is cleared to play.
-
Since he has been a starter the pass blocking has been passable. We're still struggling with run blocking. Urbik was not in the lineup all season, his first start was the firs Jests game, so "all year" for him may mean "all year (since I've been starting) You guys are really sensitive about player cliche's.

Whoever is scheduling Prime Times games this season needs to get **** canned. -
The GD Electric Company. I don't GD forget it!

You are correct he is a unrestricted Free Agent in 2016. I was tracking that as 2015.

I think the Hughes/Spikes/Scwartz situation is going to be really interesting. All 3 could leave in the off season and you know what. None would be that big of a loss. The team is super talented. You can go from Pettine to Scwartz to (John Fox/Rex Ryan/Haslett) or whatever other Defensive minded former HC that gets **** canned and the defense will still hum. Hughes is playing extremely well but with Kyle Williams, Marcell Dareus and Mario Williams. You can stick any speed rusher at the other DE spot and they will get sacks. They Definitely won't be as dominant in the run game as Hughes has been but they are going to get singles and they would just need to beat a few 1:1s in atleast 30 passing plays a game to get sacks. Spikes has made some HUUUGE stops. He isn't on the field too often but when he is he tends to make a play on a large percentage of his field appearances. Spikes is a HUUUGe liability in coverage and has shown that while a Buffalo Bill but damn that dude can really stop a RB dead in their tracks. Out of all 3 Spikes is probably the most irreplaceable and don't discount his lack of playing time for lack of impact. You make one big 3rd and 2nd tackle a game and that play alone can have a huge impact on Wins and Losses. Yeah he won't be an every down LB but he will end opposing offenses drives and get the ball back in the (inept) hands of our offense. The point is, with the Core of Brown/Alonso/Williams&Williams&Williams/Dareus/Gilmore you can stick guys like Graham, Bradham, a Speed Rushers and rotational D-Lineman and LBs in and have a great defense. The team is just loaded with talent. i think Bradham is definitely going to leave and get paid way too much somewhere else. Even if Spike/Schwartz/Hughes all leave the Defense will still be Boss. The interesting part is that Hughes had a rough start in Indi and may know that Williams/Williams/Dareus is the line you want to play on, he may give the Bills a discount to stay on that line. Scwartz had a rough outing in Detroit and I'm sure teams will want to give him an interview as HC in the off season but he may bypass because, damn, this has got to be a fun team to coach. Spikes may want to find a team that will play him every down however, Just imagine how long he can play in the NFL as the "Run Stuffer" specialty. If you play 11 impact snaps a game, He could do that for a decade and get paid the whole time. Especially on this team where the O-Line can't worry about the second level when the first level is stealing their lunch money. Spikes basically gets an unblocked free run at the Ball carrier on most plays. They all may go chase Waterfalls but they should probably stick the rivers that they're used to in Buffalo. We will see . . .

Everyone on this message board has a double PhD in Offensive Line-ology. All of the Drs here agree that the offensive line is horrendous and unusable. (In reality 99% of the people have no idea what they're talking about and the "O-Line sucks" is just an easy way to describe any poor offense.)

If Th Steelers, 9ers, Broncos win this week. Then we are in with Bills a win and a Steelers win in week 17. What is your point?

After embarrassing Rodgers the Bills finally claim the #1 DVOA Defense by Football Outsiders. We've been #1 in Weighted Defense the last 3 weeks. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef No one wants to play this team right now (Except maybe Brady because it would be good warm up for them before the playoffs and that's how that box of douche bags thinks) I'd take the Bills Defense vs Luck in a playoff game. If Only the fates align . . . .

K.C loss looking more important now ... in playoff standings

When Willie Parker ran for 102 yards with that big 50+ yard run that really sucked. -
The D Line. Last year we had 3 members of the DLine and this year we got better. All 4 should go. Carpenter and Schmidt are actually realistic options based on stats. No one on offense. If Easely was healthy all season he should go as a special teamer. The week he comes back he continues with those just blown up tackles on Punt returns that usually happen once a season but he gets 1 a game.

Should the "Shout" song be played after a FG?

Hell No. Only TDs. That is the rule in my house. Instead of "Only after a game tying or game winning field goal" Why don't you say "After a Win" -

It would be a Buffalo Billian move to lose to the Raiders this season.
