BTW, you are in the minority. The NHLs ratings on ESPN are poor with a capital P (so I guess it would be Poor) and have been getting worse every year. Correct if I'm wrong fellow TBDers but I think women's college hoops beat the NHL in ratings the last few years.
That is just plain sad, my friend. I can't believe my favorite sport has been reduced to rubble right now.

lindell's miss was from 28, a chip shot at home
norwoods miss was from 47, certainly not a gimme. and it was on grass, which norwood was not accustomed to, only 4 games that year were on grass (SB XXV, @MIA, @CLE, @WAS). judging by our scores in the regular season games (7, 42, 14), he didn't do much kicking in those either.
if lindell was our kicker in SB XXV, we wouldn't have even attempted the FG
I totally agree! It was a 47yrder grass.
I'm not happy with Lindell either.

I find myself not even bothering to watch ESPN now. Without hockey, it stinks. I mean, ESPN loves baseball and basketball anyway and they hardly talk about it when the league IS playing. I'll only watch sportscenter if I know there is some good NFL talk, but lately all they seem interested in showing is Pro Dart Tourny, Marble Championship Series and freakin' poker TILT!! Am I the minority here? I understand hockey is not popular anyway, guess I'm just going thru sports withdrawls right now! Residents of Buffalo must be going stir crazy without the Sabres to pass the time.

Yeah, that was were Darcy said "Now we have the tools" after the Sabres aquired Corkum. What a joke. I don't think they made the playoffs that year either. There we a ton of trade possibilities that yr for the deadline and we get him??!!

Those bands were fantastic too, but they are all from the UK. British music was awesome in the 60's. On a different level than GD.
The Dead however were at the root of American Blues/Psycedelic music where it just took off and all they wanted to do was play. It wasn't for the money. The are incredible when you think about it in regards to they never rehersed and it was all improv - every show!

I have the Winterland Closing on DVD. The intermission interviews are good. I just saw Bobby in Vegas with Ratdog @ House of Blues. Great show and still jams! Some very excellent musicianship goin on.
It too bad all the corporate rock today s uc k s ba l l s and basically makes me want to puke.

Did the Bills franchise anyone yet? I'm not clear on this, and does a team have to franchise someone every year?
Maybe they shoulda franchised Pat Williams so he would stay... or would that have put us over the salary cap if they did?

Also available @ http://www.gdstore.com in 4 different formats. Kinda cool they're doing that. I send for the dick's picks and copy 'em anyway. Saves me rack space. It's all good as long as all the stuff they've been putting up at the archive stays up.

I just saw the commercial last night. I couldn't believe my eyes, knowing it was that a s s Wi pe from HOOTIE and THE BUGNUTS! Then I remember someone posted a note about him on The Stadium Wall and I had to throw my two cents in. This band BLEW big time the minute I heard them in the middle '90s. Disgusting Corporate music!!
The BK commercial is even worse signing about some stupid chicken ranch swiss. I'm sure he got paid well and didn't have to split it with the rest of the BLOWFISH!

All dem good ol country boyz making left turns for 4+ hours?! No thanks NASCAR!! I like my sports where the human is doing the work and not a machine. Soccer is tough to watch I'll admit because its always 1-0 or 2-1, but it has far better athletic ability than some $hitkicker sitting in a damn race car!

You know the media. Overblown as usual. We has some serious rain in the Vegas Valley yesterday with some flooding, but its nothing we haven't seen before. I can't say the same for Cali, but here in Vegas, we're still booming! So, nothing too bad here, maybe delays at the airport, but thats about it. 65 degrees.

NHL players are a big bunch of hypocrites. They go play in the UHL for $500 a week or overseas for a couple hundred thousand at most yet they refuse to play in the NHL for a couple million. That's just stupid. They must have no idea that they are ruining the game even more than it was already ruined.
I couldn't agree with you more Kasper. These guys have no care as to whos job they are taking when right in their own backyard they can still make a avg of $1.3 Million aprox. The real shame is they are damaging a great sport and now more people are gonna hate hockey along with the rest of America who doesn't care. It also sucks because I think the Sabres have some real good guys down in Rochester and in other leagues that are gonna be good and we won't be able to see them for some time.
Totally pissed and disgusted!

They drafted Winger Drew Stafford playing for North Dakota Fighting Souix in the WCHA. He was the leading point getter for the USA junior team that just played a month and a half ago. The Sabres should be getting a quality guy when he matures and this stupid lockout ends.
They drafted Thomas Vanek the year before Stafford and he is turning out to be a offensive STUD! We can only hope this is the beginning for him. Former Golden Gopher too. Won a NCAA championship two yrs ago in HSBC arena.
