    BTW, you are in the minority. The NHLs ratings on ESPN are poor with a capital P (so I guess it would be Poor) and have been getting worse every year. Correct if I'm wrong fellow TBDers but I think women's college hoops beat the NHL in ratings the last few years.

    lindell's miss was from 28, a chip shot at home

    norwoods miss was from 47, certainly not a gimme.  and it was on grass, which norwood was not accustomed to, only 4 games that year were on grass (SB XXV, @MIA, @CLE, @WAS).  judging by our scores in the regular season games (7, 42, 14), he didn't do much kicking in those either.

     

    if lindell was our kicker in SB XXV, we wouldn't have even attempted the FG

    I find myself not even bothering to watch ESPN now. Without hockey, it stinks. I mean, ESPN loves baseball and basketball anyway and they hardly talk about it when the league IS playing. I'll only watch sportscenter if I know there is some good NFL talk, but lately all they seem interested in showing is Pro Dart Tourny, Marble Championship Series and freakin' poker TILT!! Am I the minority here? I understand hockey is not popular anyway, guess I'm just going thru sports withdrawls right now! Residents of Buffalo must be going stir crazy without the Sabres to pass the time.

    Yeah, that was were Darcy said "Now we have the tools" after the Sabres aquired Corkum. What a joke. I don't think they made the playoffs that year either. There we a ton of trade possibilities that yr for the deadline and we get him??!! :devil:

    Those bands were fantastic too, but they are all from the UK. British music was awesome in the 60's. On a different level than GD.

     

    The Dead however were at the root of American Blues/Psycedelic music where it just took off and all they wanted to do was play. It wasn't for the money. The are incredible when you think about it in regards to they never rehersed and it was all improv - every show!

    He is in that thirdtier.  Cusp of starting or high quality backup.  He will probably get a longer term deal 3-4 years. Bonus of 3-4 million and 1 million per year or so.  Give or take 250k on the salaries.

    Did the Bills franchise anyone yet? I'm not clear on this, and does a team have to franchise someone every year?

     

    Maybe they shoulda franchised Pat Williams so he would stay... or would that have put us over the salary cap if they did?

     

    Any thoughts from all you poster football knowledge gods here?

    Also available @ http://www.gdstore.com in 4 different formats.  Kinda cool they're doing that.  I send for the dick's picks and copy 'em anyway.  Saves me rack space.    It's all good as long as all the stuff they've been putting up at the archive stays up.

    I just saw the commercial last night. I couldn't believe my eyes, knowing it was that a s s Wi pe from HOOTIE and THE BUGNUTS! Then I remember someone posted a note about him on The Stadium Wall and I had to throw my two cents in. This band BLEW big time the minute I heard them in the middle '90s. Disgusting Corporate music!!

     

    The BK commercial is even worse signing about some stupid chicken ranch swiss. I'm sure he got paid well and didn't have to split it with the rest of the BLOWFISH! :D
