  1. So now that the ESPN talking heads, especially Jaws, loves the Easley pick, are all those emotions leveled a bit?

"Waaa, I've never heard of that guy because I only watch half a dozen college games and read my favorite draft blogs...I want a guy with numbers from the draft....I want a guy with a name I've heard!..." Sound familiar? That's the voice in your head, isn't it?

  2. The Patriots just turned the 91st pick into a 2nd rounder next year, which will be another strong draft. Add in the fact that the trade was with Carolina, who will probably finish middle of the pack and it will probably be a top 50 pick next year. The Patriots now have 2 #1's and 2 #2's, as i predicted they would by days end.

So much hand wringing about the patriots' pick trades. They're really in your head, man.

Oh NOOOO...the patriots didn't take a player, they took a higher SLOT! OMG!

  3. Hmmm. I am a big Nix believer but I am disapointed as hell this evening. We got a RB, nobody to protect whatever QB is back there and now it appears that they were going after Tebow but couldn't get it done, losing to a former Bellicheat weasel.

Never ceases to amaze me how Bills fans always find something to complain about. Unbefreakinglieveable.

"Couldn't get it done..." what a joke of a comment. There are 31 other teams out there on the phone. If the Bills had traded up the complaints here would have been ENORMOUS - not only taking a project QB, but giving up picks as well.

  4. The Bills need a quarterback and pick a runing back. What a crock...

Tebow is then picked by Denver.

After 50 years (minus the Kelly era) of pure bull ****...maybe it's time.

I know one thing for sure, Denver will never play a single game in Toronto...unless it's against the Toronto Bills.

Maybe it's time for you suckers to find something else to do on Sundays.

    Me, I'll be watching Denver.

Go ahead...take a swipe or two...I don't give a damn...but for sure...no team can lose like the Buffalo Bills and now the Sabres.

    Good god, what a whiner.

  5. I'm drinking beer right now, so I thought right now would be as good a time as any to raise a glass to all the loyal Bills fans out there! Hopefully tonight is the first step to building a championship calibre team in Buffalo!

Best post I've seen here in a long, long time.

    Cheers, bud.

  6. I think it would take a lot more than Lynch and 9 to get there, personally. But I have shared the same wonder about moving up to snag Suh.

At the end of the day, this new regime is going to play the draft conservative. Nothing flashy, no trades (at least not any involving skill positions), and safe, solid picks at our spots.

Look for Morgan or Baluga Whale at 9.

Thought about Morgan too. And D Thomas, both for the GTech connnection.

  7. The Bills trade Lynch and the #9 to the Lions for the #2 pick and 3rd or 4th round pick. To get Suh, who looks to be a dominant 2-gap DE. We only have two 34 DEs right now - Edwards and I believe Stroud will make the transition easily - he has the right strength, height, and knowledge. Williams doesn't have the height and Spencer Johnson is a question mark to make that move. But we'll need at least 4, likely 5 proper DEs before the games begin.

  8. Astro, I doubt D Thomas will be available in the 2nd round. Many consider him the best WR, over Bryant. I would not be surprised at all if we took him at 9. Chan knows him well, just as he knew Calvin Johnson. Not that I know much about him, but I've read that he compares favorably to CJ. I also wouldn't be surprised if we take Derrick Morgan, DE. Nix has had a lot of success drafting O Linemen in rounds 2 and 3. I'll bet that's the way we go if Williams and Okung are both gone at 9.

  9. Why not us? Because if we HAD signed him, he would not be worthy of signing. That's the rule, see.

Besides, it never ceases to amaze me how fans make so many assumptions about FA moves and the Bills FO. What fans don't have access to (in addition to a lot of other information) is the level of interest of certain FAs in playing in Buffalo. For all you know, the Bills contacted his agent and were told "thanks, but..."

Okay, the Patriots lost Ben Watson and another tight end this offseason. So, what do they do? They quickly go get a decent veteran replacement in Alge Crumpler in free agency. Crumpler is considered only an average receiving threat, but is considered a 6th O-Lineman when it comes to blocking.

My question is: Since we have a bunch of unproven TEs on our roster, and it's been widely known that we've been trying to upgrade our TE position for years now, why did we not sign a guy like Crumpler? It just makes you really see the difference of the haves (Pats) vs. the have nots (Bills). They just quickly fill holes that pop up . . . we let them fester and don't ever fill them until the proverbial "next year". We create more holes that we can fill in one year EVERY year! Really frustrating at this point.

  10. I'm sure the money the FO could have offered was better. The chance to play for a title next year, or the year after that probably was the difference.

And that is the state of your Buffalo Bills. Can't even get a middle to low tier FA to come. And to think we had hopes of Cowher, Shanahan, Wilfork, Dansby....

    What a joke...

The joke is posts like this. Suddenly Kennedy is worth the money now that he signed elsewhere.

If we had given him that contract, the posts would have been "What a joke - we bring in a 1st round bust and call it an answer at DT"

  11. I know right? That's exactly what I thought when I read this post. Weren't most Bills fans upset about bringing in this guy??? ...and when he signs elsewhere it's a blow to the organization and a blemish on Nix/Gailey's record. Ridiculous

Every offseason it's the same thing. Not yet able to make fire or fashion a wheel, some fans come out and share their...thoughts.
