  1. Had to miss the game (was at a hockey game). Predictably, looked like another nail biter.

    So, what happened?

Cuse absolutely sucked for the first half, looked super flat and should have been down by a lot more than they were. With about 2 minutes left they were down 7 and somehow managed to tie it up.

Blew them away in OT. Lucky win for the Cuse and necessary win for the Cuse.

  2. I love our annual little SU thread. I think that this year is going to be rough on the Cuse. I love the frosh, and think that they will be great by the end of the year. BUT, we have to get some sort of an inside presence, particularly scoring. Without some kind of threat on the inside we will struggle when we hit the ACC. The Atlantis tourney should be interesting to really get a feel for the team.

    Go Cuse

  3. Just because what he said is accurate, doesn't make it wise to share it with the media.

It's like one of the players saying, "Well, Tyrod really sucked for the majority of the game, but he did get us back in it with his legs. Thank God we didn't need to rely on accurate passing," after last week's game. I'm sure many thought it; but it's not right to say it into a microphone.

    I completely agree with this

"I gave the Bills a hard time in the draft grades last year because I thought they paid far too steep a price to move up for Sammy Watkins, given how many good WRs were in that draft. Watkins is going to be just fine, but Mike Evans and Odell Beckham, Jr. could have both been taken without moving up, and that move up now factors into the grade this year, when the Bills didn't have a first-rounder and simply couldn't add the same amount of talent as other teams. I thought Ronald Darby was a reach in Round 2 at No. 50. There's a lot of natural ability with him, but I didn't have CB as nearly the biggest need, and I don't think he was the best player available, either. I'm a lot higher on the third-round selection of John Miller, a physical force in the run game, which they need to succeed to take some pressure off whoever is taking the QB snaps. (There's some buzz that Tyrod Taylor could be really pushing for that role, by the way.) Karlos Williams provides some depth at running back, but I'm not sure how much they needed it, and I might have looked at one of a number of values to be had at linebacker in that range. That said, if Rex said he needed it on defense, my guess is they would have made the move. Nick O'Leary can stick because the competes like heck and can catch the ball. I also think Buffalo got one of the bigger steals in the draft in Dez Lewis, a big-bodied speedster out of Central Arkansas who doesn't look the least bit out of place from a physical and workout standpoint next to the first-round types. The Bills didn't need an amazing draft, thanks to good roster-building outside of QB. That's a good thing."

After reading this I can't really argue that he is too far off

  5. I like the trade..but the one thing that bothers, or maybe I should say, puzzles me: Does Chip Kelly really think that McCoy is done, or useless to him? Love Kiko, don't get me wrong, but I would think the Eagles could have packaged McCoy, and say, some draft picks to move up closer to getting Mariota.

Can't keep up with all the moving parts in these things any more...but is there some financial advantage to the Eagles for trading McCoy now, as opposed to later in the off-season? Is he due some big pay-out if he is still on their roster once FA starts? If so, I can understand it a little, but otherwise, if I was an Eagles fan, I would be very leery of Chip Kelly and all the power he has obtained in Philly.

Kelly seems out to prove that the Oregon Ducks can beat any team in the NFL. I wouldn't be shocked if he slides from being a "genius" to a buffoon in the next two years... he is dumping, and continues to dump, a lot of proven NFL talent, and getting little in return for it.

From what I understand this is more about $$ and the cap hit that Mccoy had on his contract. He was unwilling to restructure that. Also, add in that he was not into how the chipper practiced the team...there was some friction with the coach I am told.

  6.

You get arguably the top RB in the game (top 3 at worst), in his prime, locked in for three years. He fits Roman's scheme, can do everything (block, catch, run). In exchange you give up a very popular player, but a guy who's shredded the same knee twice and who didn't want to be here.

    It's a win.

Fully agree with this, particularly if the revelation about Kiko not wanting to be here is true.
