His shooting numbers inside the arc, from 3 point land, and at the free throw line over the last few years are all elite. I'll take my chances on that every time even if the competition wasn't the best.

I live out here in Oregon and OSU actually had an ok year, 20 wins or so.  They just don’t have a league or any money to keep players.

Apparently some buzz that we're talking to Nate Kingz, sharpshooter from Oregon State and Dishon Jackson, big man from Iowa State.

You are 2 for 2 so far.  Keep us updated!

His humanity is what makes Josh a spectacular human being.  Mad props to Joel & Lavonne.

This!  He is the real deal on and off the field.  He remembered those kids names before they showed it in the video.

There are things I think should be evident in a team that is well coached. Effort, rebounding, and turnovers. Those are all things indicative of coaching at a basic level, which are reflective of getting the people to buy in. He hasnt shown that so far, I am not sure how much longer we should let him try.  It appears he is still thinking like an assistant coach and not the main guy imo

I agree with this 100%.  Hustle, defense, the basics should be evident.  I would go even further to say that at times Red looks completely lost during a game.  And I continue to be baffled at Chris Bell, what the hell happened to that guy?

I am starting to think Red is a good recruiter but not a good coach.

I want to give him time to get “his system” in place…but I am kind of starting to lean this way a bit.  The early signs of what his teams are doing on the floor is not super encouraging.

  6. I feel like it is worth asking the 8-10 folks that regularly post on Cuse hoops this question…how are we feeling about Red so far?

I love what he is doing recruiting wise and getting the program back to relevant that way.

i don’t at all like the product on the floor, I mean it is a tough watch this year.  Defensively, it has been pretty awful since he took over.  I keep waiting to see things click, and it just isn’t happening.  These past couple years we have been way too soft, like Bills DLine soft.  Seems like the talent is back but not seeing the result at all.

thoughts?  Too much turnover year to year?

  7. This team has talent but for sure need time to gel and find their roles.  Love what I saw from Davis last night.  He is exactly what we need coming off the bench.  Starling and Bell have to play better and take control offensively.  Carlos has good pace for a new PG in a new system.  Lemoyne played their butts off last night, good game for CNY.

Benford has been loads better than Sauce this year imo.

Of that list you mentioned, I think the only two players with no debate for a straight up trade for Benford would be Surtain and Johnson. McDuffie is excellent but is a slot guy. Ward is older. Jaire is old. Gardner has the pedigree and previous performance but has suffered with Saleh’s departure.

If the refs actually call the abundance of holding/PI penalties that Sauce has on nearly every play then he becomes rather pedestrian.  The guy holds on every defensive play

  9. Now that we have started a new thread for the new year, putting out the request from you guys that have "someone in the know" about potential recruits that can fill out next years class.  I am wondering if there is any info on Anthony and Costanzo??

  10. I too have heard that Seattle pumps crowd noise into the stadium.  I was there yesterday and was shocked at how many Bills fans were there, half the stadium on the 100 level.

i live in Portland and get to hear/see all the “12th man” and “12’s” crap all the time.  They ate a big slice of humble pie yesterday.  Headed to the exit before the end of the third!!
