  1. I had a couple of thoughts about our D, here we go...be nice

    1. Pat who?

    2. Kelsay is a player and I am super excited about the bookend with Schobel, he had a great game too!

    3. I thought that Mcgee had an awesome game and we should be confident in both of our starting CB's

    4. I love Troy V at Safety, man he had a strong game

I love watching our D, more than our O and hope that this year they are #1!!

  2. I am not sure that any of us can appreciate the utter chaos, unrest, and confusion that NO is dealing with. Media outlets should shut down criticism until after every alive human is removed from the city. Let's evaluate after the job is actually done.

A little righteous anger from the Mayor seems warranted to me.

I wish that Shepard Smith would put down the friggin mike and go help some of these people, that guy makes my stomach turn. Someone needs to say, "Yo shep, you could help that dead guy on the stree. Or, you could help people get out of the water."

Boy, I would've loved to see Adam Terry from the Cuse wearing Bills colors and playing LT. I also think that the Willis kid from FSU could have been good. Parrish better put up some impressive #'s and "open" up our offense significantly for him to have been worth it this year.

If only Miami had a LG that was graduating, I am sure that TD would have gotten him

  4. I am certainly not as skilled as others on this board in terms of analyzing a game, and actually read this board daily for thoughts from locals. So take it easy here. Also, from a person who once lived in Orchard Park and now in Oregon, I am not able to share these with the classic wings of Buffalo and LabbatyBlue filter on (By the way, Oregon wings suck!). My last disclaimer is to apologize if some of these observations have already been posted. I am in the midst of watching the game now.

    1. Mcgee is playing well but still allows quite a bit of separation and does not blanket the wideout a la Clements. Our big pass plays allowed could come from his cover this year.

    2. I wouldn't mind having Kyle Orton on our team, anybody see him tear apart the Syracuse Orange last year.

    3. Shelton had a pretty lame game, I am not a great blocking analyzer, but it seemed that he could not hold the Bears 1st string linebackers. A couple of Willis' losses or no gains were the result of Shelton not blocking well. And he totally muffed that pass from Losman in the first.

    4. I thought JP looked OK and although it was a good defensive first half, at least he put us in the lead and made mostly good decisions. I am still waiting for him to throw down the field (where is this cannon arm?). I loved seeing him send that pass to Freddie at the end of the half, that was a great pass and would love to see more.

    5. I don't think Lindell suck, or that he is great. He is just simply unreliable! He is a liability. The most frustrating thing about him kicking is that he is so unreliable that we just can't count on him, especially under a little bit of pressure. He 's an average college kicker and no more.

    6. To agree with others here, I thought Willis looked super pedestrian in the first half of the game. I hope that he was saving up for the regular season.

    7. Watching our D is so much more fun that watching the O.

OK, so nothing ground breaking, but I thought I would give it a shot.

  5. I love the quote from Vincent this morning about MM, "We do it his way, or there's I-90." It seems like MM had enough common sense to do what Greggo never did, earn the right to be heard from his players.

Instead of coming in and blowing horns and pissing guys off, it seems like MM has shown them that he is the real deal and then backed it up with hard-a$$ coaching and a strong vision (showing that he has some principles that he won't bend on). I like that a lot and hope that it continues to build a strong foundation in the team's mentality to win, be excellent, and stay the course.

It may not produce many wins, but at least the man has strong leadership skills that Buffalo has severely lacked in the Greggo Regime.

    Thoughts?

  6. Yes, if it is between the 3-7 range of pay for the top CB's in the league, I don't see him making top dollar here. And ufortunately for him we are gaining depth at the position.

I do think that Clements likes to play in Buffalo and hope that he stays. However, aren't you going to say that you want to be somewhere if they are willing to pay the most. Whoever signs him next spring will be the place "that I really wanted to be"

  7. I love his speed, but after watching the 2004 highlights from NFL network, the thing I love about Willis the most is when he lays the stiff arm on some corner and totally lays the guy out. Especially the one during the Dolphons game. I can't remember the last time I saw a back throw so many dudes down with one arm while running full speed.

  8. I am incredibly torn on TD. On the one hand I think he and Modrak has assembled an incredibly talented team. On the otherhand this incredibly talented team has yet to make the playoffs. I just wonder what comes of Donahoe if the Bills miss the playoffs yet again this season because it is his team and he has had 2 chances to get the right head coach. I like Mularkey and co., but the Bills MUST make the playoffs this year.

I completely agree, it is time. Notice in the BN artilce that Ralph comments that TD has done a good job, not a great one. It is time for greatness to come, take the next step and prove that all the talent and coaching is gonna pay off. Rookie QB or not

  9. 1.  Head case

    2.  Way expensive

    3.  Questions about his toughness

    4.  Plays the most replaceable position on the football field.

    Darin,

I agree with all but #1, Alexander is a stand-up guy. When I think of head case I think of Kyle Turley or that DE from Chicago that went ballistic a few years ago. Alexander is a family man, has a faith, and from what I can tell from Seattle newspapers is fairly soft-spoken and humble.
