  1. Anytime someone makes the above argument, it needs to be accompanied by the fact that the Bills have the lowest average ticket price in the NFL.

Sorry to burst the bubble but full disclosure equals truth.

Please, this argument is null and void. The ticket prices are on average lower than major markets, however if you review overall capacity and ticket prices the Bills stack right up there with 50% of the league. Your bubble is false. The Bills will always sell well compared to these new markets, and I can guarantee that the economy is improving, and people are willing to spend more for the Bills. Its a great football market period. The NFL knows it, and its time that everyone else knows it.

Enough with this bullcrap lie. Ralph is being kind to the fans right now, similar to the Knox's. There is something about Buffalo, that everyone is jealous about.

  2. Wow way to stay classy Harrison...I'm sure NBC appreciates his comments

Harrison would love a bounty on T.O.

    Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham

Rodney Harrison doesn't have to honor Bill Belichick's one-voice policy anymore.

Harrison doesn't belong to the New England Patriots anymore. The former safety is an analyst for NBC. So he can say whatever he wants about an upcoming opponent.

On Thursday, he blasted Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens with both barrels on Boston radio station WEEI's "The Dale and Holley Show."

"I'm pumped about T.O. opening up his big mouth about the Patriots," Harrison joked. "It's fair now. I can actually put a bounty on T.O. if I wanted and not get in any trouble."

    Reggie Dunlop would be proud.

What triggered Harrison's response was what Owens told the Boston media on Wednesday.

Owens joked he was going to bring his spy camera to Monday night's season opener between the Bills and Patriots.

"He's a clown," Harrison said. "He's all about the circus show and the cameras, and it's all about that. But you best believe he'll have Shawn Springs in his grill and Brandon Meriweather will be putting his helmet down his throat. So I'm excited about seeing that on Monday.

"He's just so, so miserable. He wants to seek so much attention. I don't know. Something happened a long, long [time] ago, before we even knew T.O., that just made him like this. The guy is such a phenomenal talent, but his clown antics and his tactics just take away, year after year.

"The story we should be talking about is the playmaking ability, the big plays and his potential Hall of Fame career."

Awesome! I know TO will get this before Monday!

  3. Or maybe it was because:

    - Walker was too fat

    - The tempo was too slow

    - The plays being called often made no sense for the situation (see crossing routes one game, none the next)

    - The calls were coming in from the Coord way too slow

    - The formations tipped the D off to the play

    - The O Coordnator wanted to run HIS show, not the coaches

    - It sounds like AVP is actually getting input from the positional coaches and players where is sounds like Turk wasn't

    - Under Turk the plays didn't call for downfield passing, under AVP they do (or so says T.O.)

    Did I miss anything?

Nailed it. Turk sucked balls. I just wish Jauron made this move sooner. Loyal to a fault. He needs to work on that, however he has 6 games to prove himself.

  4. I've seen all the preseason games. TO caught 2 fine passes at the top of game 1, and then disappeared. The affect of having him on the field is yet to be felt. I could sense that the Bills were not running anything except vanilla plays, merely for the sake of evaluating talent.

I watched Bell in the game v. Chicago, and he looked really good. No mistakes, and athletic.

The key to beating New England may be getting a pass rush on Brady. If they can pop him a few times, force a couple turnovers, the Bills can win that game.

I agree 100%. I watched every game the Patriots played, and I didn't see a dominate team at all. In fact, I saw alot of play from their starters, that wasn't really impressive. Their secondary is weak, and their D-Line isn't that great either.

I think Jauron is playing it perfect right now. Seems similar to what Belicheck does every year. Remove a big starter, and replace them with hungry young players.

Funny, they get rid of Seymour, and all the blowhards say it makes sense; however the Bills are taking the same approach, by evaluating their team, before the season and making strong changes as well. I like it!!! Finally, this team is making a move!

I know its not popular, but I think Dick Jauron is building a program.

I just think its time to be positive! OPENING WEEKEND AGAINST THE PATS*!!! WHERE ARE OUR COLLECTIVE SACS!!!

  5. The reason you haven't heard about it is because it is typical Bills propaganda created to shift the blame to the recently released player.

Walker was not a LT - not a surprise

but to attack the guys integrity and attitude after kicking him to the curb is a typical Russ Brandon hachet job

the same type of program he orchestrated against Peters

lucky for him -the Bills lemmings buy this crap hook, line and sinker

Yep those marketing folk at One Bills Drive are amazing.

The retard notion that Ralph doesn't want to win needs to go.

The team is in a funk. It happens. Study football history. We will turn it around. Plus, the team isn't going anywhere.

Repeat: the team isn't going anywhere, and we are in good hands.

  6. I find it amazing that all of the Bills OL decided simultaneously that they did not want to play in Buffalo - Peters, Dockery, Walker, etc

    Let's review-

in 2007- Jim McNally is the OL coach

the bills bring in 2 highly paid free agents.

the OL as a whole performs better than at anytime over the previous 15 years.

Jason Peters makes the Pro bowl

in 2008, Kugler takes over as the OL coach.

Peters "regresses" and does not play up to his standard - his hold out is blamed, and he is traded in 2009

Dockery "regresses" significantly in 2008 and it is determined that his play does not justify his contract - he is cut outright in 2009

Fowler and Preston "regress" from servicable players to outright liabilities. The are cut at end of 2008.

In 2009- the Bills run Peters out of town and move Walker to LT without his prior knowledge knowing they will be running the no huddle.

2009- end of pre-season, Walker is deemed to have "regressed" badly and is cut outright. In a brilliant revelation, Kugler and staff realize Walker is overweight and poorly conditioned which severely hinders his play.

Since no healthy OL is available to play LT, the Bills re-sign Kirk Chambers who was cut the day before because his play had "regressed". However, he got better overnight and now qualifies as one of John Guy's tremendous free agent OL discoveries.

seems there is a lot of "regressing" under Kugler's watch.

    Coincidence???

    I think not

and the bills faithful expect Kugler to take 3 rookies, a cast off and a always injured OT playing out of position and turn then into a cohesive OL.

Better hope they all decide they don't want to play in Buffalo anymore

So now Kugler is the problem. OK.

  7. Believe it or not, I'm an optimist; I hope the Bills do really well this year (and every year) and actually hope that no one gets fired, including Jauron.

My smirk was meant to convey that the original post (with all the "Patrifuks" and "Bellafuks") was jarring and offered no meaningful analysis. I can also post gobbeldy-gook posts and say "The Bills will win--hooray!! Oh, and the Pats* stink--boo!!"...but I prefer posts that have more analysis, that's all. Maybe the OP meant his post to be more of a goofy post--that's fine. I just thought it deserved a smirk: :)

+1 for goofy posts!!! Its opening weekend, and I have been waiting 9 months for this game. Enough with the analysis, and lets just have some fun!

  8. The Patrifuks DB's are so crappy that both Evans and Owens will go friggin' nuts.

Marsh... I mean Freddy will torch them like he did last year.

Alex Van Pelt will suffer from first time luck. Bellafuk does'nt have any tape on him running the offense.

and here is the clincher: REGGIE CORNER. I don't know why, but my sources tell me that he will get an INT.

I don't question these things, I just billieve them.

THE BILLS WILL BE 1 AND 0, AND THE PATRI-NO-NUTS WILL BE 0 AND 1.

GO BILLS!!!!!!(and even if we win fire the hell out of Dick)

Wow, lookey here! An actual Bills fanatic on a Bills message board! Nice to see. I am with you 100%!

    We will rock the Pats!

  9. Who are you? Advantage: Me

Until this moment, I had no idea of my true power. And you obviously have no idea what verbose means. Advantage: draw.

No, but I'm sure that nightmare you're having about your time in county is having a large effect on your life. Advantage: Your prison husband.

Actually, I'm positive the BILLS are going to suck. Advantage: Push

Except the sun is up over 14 hours a day right now, you climatological challenged douche. Advantage: Al Gore

10 years without a playoff berth means AD knows mediocrity. Advantage: Ralph Wilson because I actually clapped for the crypt keeper in Canton.

Wow. Typical. Anyway, take my advice, and by the way I have been here since the beginning.

  10. It wouldn't matter with this staff/ownership. We could trade straight across with the Patriots and within 3 years Belichick would be back on top and we'd be picking DBs at the top of the first round.

Yep, so true, the Bills are a bunch of idiots. It doesn't matter how hard they try they just suck. Seriously Darin, we are 6 days from opening night, lets be a little opptomistic! We haven't lost yet!

  11. Can you blame him? The guy knows what he's capable of and the BILLS, like all organizations who're clueless, all but guaranteed his failure. It was doomed from the beginning and looks that much dumber now that Oher is playing so well in Baltimore.

Come on Alaska boy, I am sick of your negativity. Move on. All your hate and negativity and your verbose posting really influence real fans that want to cheer on their team. Have you ever put a damn sock in your mouth! Your opinions are over inflated and always negative. I thought the lack of sun brought depression to WNY'ers, I guess in Alaska its ten fold.

The Bills are clueless and Alaska Darin knows everything!

  12. Blame Donahoe. Blame Marv, Blame Modrak, Blame Jauron, Blame the players. At the end of the day no one is satisfied with anything over the last 10 years. I am just as frustrated as the next guy but pointing fingers at people right not, or any time wont do much. The best thing we can do right now is cheer on our Bills in 2009.

Trust me I'm one of those annoying Bills fans that B word and moan during game when sh-- goes wrong because all I wanna see is the team I love win. But right now I'm trying to be as positive as possible. Dont get me wrong I'm having my doubts, but you gotta look forward to any potential we have right now.

Exactly. People hate Walker, but now that he is cut they will find somethng else to B word about.

  13. Really? You hit reply for that?

Find where I've gotten personal with someone for something they can't control or outside of stupid internet banter?

Even if I have, you pick this thread to point that out? Where all I was doing was putting a personal perspective out there so maybe a few unknowledgeable people could learn a little something instead of jumping on the wagon ridiculing this poor kid? I expected more out of you cincy.

You really expected more??? I don't post much, but Cincy is as cantankerous as they come. He is the righteous old man!

  14. I seriously feel the OP's pain. I thought about this the other day-- how many years have we all wasted following this sorry team, with no hope of getting better? I live in Pittsburgh now, and wish I could follow the Steelers like my friends--but I can't. It's a curse--I can't get the Bills out of my blood. When I have kids, there's no way I'm going to push the Bills on them--hopefully they'll root for the Steelers and the curse will end with me.

The only positive about this season is that we're all feeling so despondent at this point that this team finishing 7-9 might be a pleasant surprise.

2nd post of the year! Years wasted??? Hmmmmm...

  15. In one week I (we) must cease living in the fantasy football world. A world where our team gets better in the offseason and improves from the previous year. Both in record and talent. And make the playoffs, thereby, giving them and us a chance at a championship.

By my own admission and the overall concenus of this board, it does not appear that progression toward that goal will be accomplished or perhaps even attempted.

Some say, "There's always next year... not ALWAYS. Some of us are getting old. Not RW old, but old nonetheless.

I have never played Dungeons&Dragons, but maybe I'll give it a try. At least in that game there's no being forced into reality and the shotcaller can give his player more skills, stronger mojo and the will and opportunity to win the game.

Wow. There is a drug called Lexapro or Prozac that might help. Why bother being a fan?

  16. Yes, they are living off of the fact that they have one of the greatest Head Coaches and QBs of all time . They are also both in their prime. Last time Brady was healthy he threw for 50 TD's and they went undefeated during the season. Last year they won 11 games with a career backup. We have Dick J. He is 20 games under .500 for his career. He has trouble speaking let alone coaching. We are doomed.

Afraid of dissapointment? I'm a Bills fan brotha! I effin welcome that sh*t with open arms and ask if I can have another! Whoa is me...............

OK cool, but come on now, opening weekend here! Let's have some fun! The off season is too long to not appreciate the possibilities.
