  1. I saw that pinned... so you are saying we have nothing going on until May 11th... Phily has been meeting for over a week now?

I don't understand it either thats after the draft and i thought every team got together after the draft as well. I guess the bills don't do the voluntary ota thing anymore just the rookie and first year player thing.

  2. Ok, but keep in mind the following before casting judgment on Sheppard:

    A. He was a rookie asked to play perhaps the most cerebral position in the NFL other than QB.

    B. George Edwards was the coordinator of the cluster!@#$ that was the 2011 Buffalo Bills defense.

    C. For most of the season, the defensive line in front of him consisted of another rookie, Dareus, plus a bunch of scrubs.

Every defensive player drafted last year played very well. Shepppard the least impressive.

  3. I think so also. We have no quality depth at lb and shepppard looks to be ok but not spectacular. Shepppard looks very slow also. His speed is the slowest I've seen at lb since Eddie Robinson. The middle lb needs to be instinctive and shepppard is always out of place. I can only hope he improves.

  4. I love our secondary. Florence can play zone or man as good as any in the league. Mckelvin is very good in coverage, it's his ball skills that suck. He is alwats with his guy, just can't make a play on the ball. Hopefully that will change and he will start over Mcgee who is excellent, but injury prone. Love the picks in the secondary from last year. A pass rush will make a this secondary look unreal. They were near the top in picks last year.

  5. The 49ers had a great season, Donte Whitner did'nt. He was probaly the worst player on that team and the 49ers fought through his adversity. The fact that they did as well as they did with his poor play is impressive. Whitner is a fair in the box safety, he makes Jim Leonhard look all Pro. He owes his career to Marv Levy for picking him as high as he did. He is the classic locker room cancer. When things are good it's his great play, when things are bad it's the coaches fault. Again the 49ers weak link is Whitner.

  6. Was reading obituary of former LB Lew Bush. He is the seventh former member of the Chargers 94 Super Bowl team to have died. DT Shawn Lee, LB David Griggs, RB Rodney Culver, LB Doug Miller, C Curtis Whitley, and LB David Mims all dead in late thirties early forties. Griggs was in a car accident, Culver and wife in Value Jet, Doug Miller believe it or not struck by a bolt of lighting twice?

  7. They made the playoffs last year and made it to the Super Bowl the year before. I would kill for the Bills to have problems that led to results like that. I still think Manning is the best QB in the game. This season should be enough proof of that.

As for Brady, 99% of the hate is unjustified and is just jealousy more than anything. However, he is a whiner. Having said that, a lot of the greats are.

Regardless, if you think Fitzpatrick is anywhere close to either of the two, well...

Manning is a top 10, best in the game not even. You have to look at where Manning has played. In a dome against the AFC south, very easy conditions and competition. Marino is #1, Brady #2 . I would put Manning in the same area as Jim Kelly with Kelly a liitle better. Brady and Marino played all their home games outdoors against AFC east(outdoor) opponets when on the road. Who the heck has Manning played. Houston(dome)terrible secondary for years. Jacksonville(enough said) and Tennessee. Thats 3 expansion teams. I wish the Bills had the Colts opponets. JP Losman would still be here and a future hall of famer. Manning is highly overrated.

  8. I love the line up we have now with Hairiston, Levitre, Urbick, Rhinehart, and Pears. I'm ready to move on from Wood. Nice kid, but not durable enough to handle the inside game. Urbik should man the center for the next 10 years. Rhinehart is an asolute Iowa beast, big mean and corn feed. Levitre is very much undersized, but is very mobile in the run blocking scheme of things. Hairiston or Bell is the only question for the start. Pears has locked up the RT position as long as he wants. Yes this line is very good and getting more experienced. A very young group, with potential to be dominate if they can stay healthy and play together for an extended period.

  9. AHHHHHHHHHHH! Man gotta say I love the Zweigles! Was never able to find them here in Orlando until recently when I drove by a small burger joint and saw the sign in the window. Just about caused a wreck in doin a u-turn but man it was worth it. Even have my wife whoose from Mich. hooked on them.

Where? I live two hours south of there but will make the trip for a Zweigles hot dog.

Zweiges red or white can't go wrong. Score the sides with a knife and grill. Best consumed with cold beer.

  10. Seems as though Chan likes to kickoff when we win coin tosses(which it seems we do alot), putting the defense on the field first and offense first possesion of second half. As we have been down early in the last two games should we let our hot offense go out first and try score early and give us a boost? The first possesion of second half has been good for coming back, but that can't happen every week.

  11. We still owe them for Losman's knee. Vince is a dirty player. When he came on the field Sunday he had his fingers in the air giving the #1 salute. We gave them 1. We finally got physical with them and they did'nt like it. I liked when Barnett body slammed Woodhead, even though it drew a flag, it was like we've had enough this streak is going to end today. I'm tired of being pushed around, this is'nt your father's Bills.

  12. I moved back to Buffalo from Ft. Lauderdale area in 2005 but they still had a place then called Rooties in the Coconut Creek area west of Ft. Lauderdale, but I'm not sure if they are still open or not. I believe it was owned by the same guys who originally owned Rooties in Getzville. They would feature the game on the biggest screens and full audio.

When I first moved to South Florida in 1994 I found a place called Sneaky Petes on Oakland in F5tt Lauderdale. It usually had 200 plus Bills fans any given Sunday and the large crowds were great to watch the game at but the service was horrible because it was at least 4 deep all the way around the bar for the entire game. That's how I wound up finding Rooties which had a decent sized crowd but was not overwhelming.

Sneaky Pete's that's the name i was trying to remember.

  13. I think 10-7 against Denver in the Jan. 1992 (1991 season) AFC Title game deserves consideration, as well.

One of my all tine favorites. That was a defensive battle of epic proportions. If you like defense that was the game, alot of 3 and out and punts, but it was like who ever scores is going to win type game.

yep 51-3 will always be my favorite bills game of all time.

With the "comeback " a very close second. Beating the Dolphins with Marino in Miami for the AFC championship was very special game in my heart.

Love that game, becuase i was there. A classic Marino, Kelly battle. I remeber saying who are these young LB's. Patton and Maddox shined in that game shutting down that mighty mite Mark Higgs.
