  1. What poor companies fail to realize is that there is always a market for talented people.

That's the sad part of the hole debacle. My reviews as a dealer put me in the top 2% of dealers. I have the reviews here at my house. Out of a possible 50 on my evaluation I got a 47 and a 45 the past two years. The average review score is 37 as the instructors are told not to give out any perfect scores unless the quality is extroadinary. A number of the supervisors have already told me they would write me a letter of recommendation. The only real problem with that is I have to leave my home to continue my craft. Bash WNY until you're blue in the face but no where else on earth is home to me.

  2. No warning. On my day off they call me to say, turn in your stuff. Not based on any type of personal matter, just economics. I've looked for another job that could make me any type of similar earning potential and there is none. I'm one of those guys who really takes pride in his work. I love my job. Dealing Craps isn't only fun, it's challenging. Not any dope can do it. It's apparent that I won't be able to do that here anymore and I guess what is... is.

Really bad day yesterday. To do that to me 3 weeks before Christmas really really hurts. No Christmas bonus? No, no job. If it were me and me alone, I'd be okay. How do you tell a 2 year old not to expect as much for Christmas. <_<

    Really really tough day.

  3. Trent needs to show it for the year. Remember when we all (most) thought JP was a top 10 QB after the great end in 06

Uhhhhhhh.... No. I'm fairly certain no one felt that way aside from maybe you. I was one of the biggest Losman supporters and my point was that he was showing improvement back then. The thought of him being a top 10 qb never crossed my mind and I'm fairly certain that is the opinion of the majority.

  4. Anyone remember the game a few years ago at Mcfaddens that Tim Russert showed up for? I was there and got a really nice picture with him that I cherish. That place is awesome. It felt like a little slice of home for me and I loved going there when I was in NYC. They were rockin too boy, damn. Looked like a good time!

  5. No, IMO, because he is low key, Jauron says players " are really good", or "good", sometimes he says very good, or played very well. I don't hear him use terms like dominant for a player very often, which is a strong word. He seemed to go out of his way to say it.

I agree with you he should NOT get beat like that once. If he does, it's a terrible play. But for people to say he played terrible the entire game, or he is lousy, is further away from the truth than to say he had a great day. There were 72 offensive plays the Bills ran. He missed a couple of them on the bench because he got beat bad that one play, and he got beat by his man a few other noticeable plays. He didn't get much push on some running plays. But there were many more plays that he was dominant than he got outplayed. People don't really watch the line much it seems, and when the end comes rushing more than once a game they say, without watching or knowing or giving any credit to the dozens of plays he dominated, that he was terrible.

I personally think he had a bad game overall for HIM, too, because a lot of games he makes virtually no mistakes.

Oh, and Oakland is good on defense. They have been for years.

    I agree with that 100%.

  6. Jauron said today (just heard on WGR) that "Jason had a couple bad plays but other than that he played dominant football." The last quarter he was dominant. On both rushing TDs he was dominant. On numerous other plays during the game he was dominant. What Jauron said was true. He did get beat too many times, when zero is what you want out of your LT. He made one bad play which hurt us, and it caused a fumble which led to three points. But it's a flat lie to say he sucked the whole game. He got beat bad once, (twice if you want to count a play two other guys got beat faster and worse which caused Trent to turn blindly into Peters man), he got beat a few other plays that caused Trent to have to step away or pass quicker than he wanted to. But he made numerous terrific blocks that resulted in big yardage, he was personally responsible for the open field Marshawn had on his first TD, he blew his man far into the endzone on the second TD, and pretty much the entire fourth quarter, when we needed him, when the rest of the team got going, when the game was on the line, he was excellent.

I agree with that mostly kelly but my problem is with the way he's getting beat. Against Jax the DE took a speed rush around the outside and had a big clear shot on Trent Edwards. It's one thing to have a guy beat you but to not touch a defensive end running around you isn't acceptable. What if Trent gets hurt on that play and we go on to watch 14 weeks of Losman ball? Again, he got blown up this week on two plays that I counted. Plays that he really needs to make aren't being made.

To the point that he made plays when he needed to, the Bills were lucky that it was Oakland. They make the types of mistakes they made this week against half the teams in the league and they lose. I'm not willing to excuse 3 bad quarters of football just because he showed up for 2 series.

Further, Jauron isn't going to tell you that Jason played bad. He's the most vanilla coach in the league. What's he supposed to say? 'yeah, Jason reported in bad shape and hasn't been able to be the dominant player we anticipated.'? Jauron is a player's coach and has had that reputation for years.

Bottomline: Jason isn't playing dominating football and I don't need a coach to tell me he is. Yes, he's made some good blocks at critical times that have helped. He's also been beaten extremely bad a few times which is ok for an average to good Offensive Linemen. That just isn't what he thinks he is though. If this is the level of play we get from Jason this year, I would not renegotiate his contract.

  7. I get to see Jason Peters every Sunday night. He travels with a group of idiots who are incredibily disrespectful and he is the leader. Having the job I have has changed my opinion on professional athletes more than you will ever know. To the point though, he looks heavier than last year. When I'd see him last year, we'd all remark about how the other offensive lineman just looked like big fat guys. You couldn't really say that about Peters. Now you can. He's gotten thicker and lost alot of the tone he used to have in his upper body.

    fwiw

  8. As many here may know, I just recently quit smoking, May the 8th to be exact. I started smoking when I was 23(i know what an idiot) and smoked bout a pack of Red Cowboy killers every day for the next 22 years . To go along with that, bout the only exercise i got in those 22 years was hoisting twelve ounces of liguid to my gullet while sitting on the couch.

Well today I made a half marathon, the Va Beach Rock and Roll. It was hot and humid as a sum B word, but I still made it. My goal was 2:11.00, and i did 2:10.58. LOL That equates to 10 minute miles. I know not fast by any means, but when I started running mid June, I could only do a mile in 14 minutes.

Ahh, the beers will be flowing tonight fellas!! Hope everyone is having a great holiday.

Oh yea, for those who no believe me, here is the link to my splits, I was bib #22369!!

Congratulations man that is fantastic. You have alot to be proud of.

  9. If you honestly mean that you have no idea of what happened. Carter couldn't get out of his own way and Clinton was exactly the same. His approval rating was under 40% and 100 day turn-around of the Repubs set off the stock market with the first balanced budget in a long time. You add the tech bubble, which was only a bubble propped up, and the artificially low interest to help prop stocks and create huge corporate imbalances which blew up under Bush I highly doubt you can attribute the success of the economy to Clinton.

As much as I cannot stand Bush the fall of the big corps of Enron and Worldcomm were Clinton's undoing, but Bush was the band-leader and people don't look at the world historically and critically and say, "Yes, but it became a beast under Clinton."

Anyways, I wouldn't give a D any real credit for the economy, nor can you give a R any credit unless they had the Congress under them to push their bills. Really the first time you can say any President really had any push in an economy it was Bush with a Republican house and senate for 6 years. Clinton's 2 years with the D Congress was also a failure.

Moral of the story: the country works better in gridlock than introducing new bills. I will say the new homebuyers bill pushed by the Ds will set our economy back 2-3 years in the housing market. It was a terrible bill.

No only Republicans will say that.

You sound like most republicans that I know not wanting to take the blame for things that went bad during your terms and wanting to blame every fault on what the other guy did. It's a joke really. Some good things and bad things happen every presidential term and it is the job of government to protect and nurture growth to help build a strong economy. Bush certainly did that for privatized special interests group to the far right and denying that is stupidity. He did not help the common American nor did he protect us.

He lead us in to made up wars. He watched a major U.S city face a terrible natural disaster and sat on his hands. He spends 5 billion dollars weekly to fight a war for a country with a 79 billion dollar surplus. That's just pathetic leadership and it sucks for our country that we've allowed ourselves to be lead by a total moron.

You say the original poster distorted the facts but you did just the same thing. What Bush left for Clinton wasn't a strong economy. Just because you deem Clinton's time with a Democratic Congress a failure doesn't make it so. It makes it your opinion... But that's it.

You aren't the authority on American politics and if you think you know the full scale of what you are speaking represent both sides of the argument like an intelligent person. Don't ramble your view and how it is cause you say so. That's just plain stupidity.

  10. reason would suggest u apply the same inexperience to obama, and he is no. 1 on the ticket.... also whats wrong with the nra, should we take all the guns away from law biding citizens.... doesnt make much sense for the dems if u ask me

Representing that I have a problem with the constitutional rights of the citizens of the United States just because I said it wouldn't help the 'liberal female' vote that she was in NRA is being ridiculous. What's wrong with the NRA? You can generalize this country and pretend there is no gray area if it makes your argument work, I guess, but that's not my point and I'm fairly certain you know it. My problem has nothing to do with the people who use the guns in ways that are safe to the community. I have a problem with the ability of drug dealers getting AK 47's on street corners in rural america. The NRA generalizes statements and philosophies allowing everyone to carry guns which isn't always the safest rationale for a better America. If one group needs to reform the way it does business, it's the NRA.

Yet that wasn't my point. My point was that liberal women in america aren't going to gravitate to a woman who was in the NRA and I believe the point isn't debatable. Further, how do you know I'm a democrat? I said there were two better picks for the Republican party, what makes you think that means I'm Democrat?

Also about Obama. Before you start comparing their career paths and accomplishments you should do some research. What either has accomplished or stands for in this country is obviously something you know nothing about.

    The Real

  11. Um... No. McCain picked a 44 year old unexperienced Governor from of all places Alaska who is under investigation in her own state. This pick looks shallow and like a shot to try and get some of the women in this country which will fail. Comparing this women to Hillary Clinton makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Nothing in their careers or beliefs mirror one another and it's pathetic that Republicans took this route. The woman is a life long NRA member for god's sake. How in the world will she pick up more of the liberal female vote in this country?

There were two picks that would have made plenty more sense. You figure it out.

  12. JP is never going to be a winner. For all you JP lovers who thinks he has so much class, get real. He is a little punk who sulks and won't talk to the media because his feelings got hurt by being benched - BOO HOO WHAAAAAA!

    Poor JP.

Aside from the fact there has been no Boo hoo or Whaaa you make a total valid argument. The guy has been such a class act since he got here to Buffalo and you are a serious hater just because he doesn't have the skill set to be this team's starting quarterback. He's been helpful in the community which is the first sign of maturity. Thugs all over the league get arrested on a daily basis yet Losman has never been involved with any off field issues.

On the field he lost his starting job and still showed for every offseason session he was expected to attend. You are mad because he isn't coming in sounding like a happy back up quarterback when the fact is, he doesn't consider himself a back up. It doesn't matter what you think. He's man enough to play out his contract and go into free agency next year with out creating a stir. How is that anything short of as mature as an athlete can be?

Yet, he swallows his pride, does his job and maintains he'll be ready for the season when it starts. And you have a problem with that....

    :wallbash:

  13. Beastmode may run as hard as anyone in the league but Peterson is filthy. Peterson is more dynamic and faster. He's a threat to go the distance everytime he touches the ball. Can you say that about Lynch? I love having the grinder we have but I respect ability and APete is a playmaker.
