  1. Your numbers are wrong for both of them I believe. Willis ran a 4.38 and 4.39 during campus workouts and Poz ran a 4.62 and 4.58,both players ran better than expected.

The numbers I posted are correct, but from a while back while on campus. You are referring to the pro day numbers, which are more recent and definitely helped each player, mainly Willis. Thanks for the updated times.

  2. Exactly.

    Brian Leonard. Paul Posluzny.

    Great White Hopes.

How many of the these "POZ" boosters are Polish? Hmmm.....

And Shane Conlan was above average, not GREAT (I like Conlan). I'm hoping they get someone GREAT.

What are you suggesting? Don't draft any white guys? I can't grasp the concept of your post.

For the record... (From their campus workouts)

    Posluszny: 4.67 in the 40-yard dash … 375-pound bench press … 560-pound squat … 335-pound power clean … 31-inch vertical jump

    Willis: 4.62 in the 40-yard dash … 365-pound bench press … 500-pound squat … 310-pound power clean … 38-inch vertical jump.

  3. I, personally, do not believe he is better than Patrick Willis and some have suggested he is not even the 2nd best ILB (David Harris-Michigan). I think Buster Davis may even make a better pro LB -- ala London Fletcher.

Posluszny is NOT an inside 'backer. He belongs on the outside. Other than that, you're right. Why should we like a 2-time Bednarik Award winner, that despite that injury, was still the best defensive player in the NCAA last year and had no drop off in stats?

  4. I'd favor going Willis, then a CB (2nd round pick or after a trade-up into the 1st depending on if there's a run, sorry Bill in NYC ;) ) and then a RB. Then a TE.

I am presently happy with the CB's on the roster, BUT would certainly not oppose taking a guy on the first day. Throwing a Tanard Jackson, Chris Huston, or Marcus McCauley into our depth chart would really bolster our defense. And with the depth at that position in the draft this year, maybe we could get a steal later on much like we did with Youboty last year.

  5. Adam Schein and Jim Miller just had a great talk about what the Spikes deal does for Buffalo. They both love Buffalo's DT rotation now and believe that McCargo and Williams are going to be great. Then they mentioned the draft and said that Buffalo should go for either Peterson or Willis, depending on who's available. Finished by saying Willis would be to Buffalo what Urlacher is to Chicago, and that a LB group of Ellison-Willis-Crowell could make the defense one of the best in the league.

;) Good to see some people are noticing what the Bills are thinking. I'm really starting to like Jim Miller as an analyst. He is by far my favorite to listen to.

  6. I ate at Phillips and I hated it. Crab shells in the crab cakes....enough said. However, I think Baltimore is a great town and really enjoy visiting there. Lots of things to do. A lot of homeless people though, a real lot.

Phillips is really inconsistent, and is definitely not even near the best seafood in Baltimore. Berthas, Mama's, Blue Sea Grill.... So many to choose.

  7. The city is MUCH cleaner than Baltimore and I am not sure what Willis is talking about Chain Restaurants?!??! Thats pretty much all Baltimore has too.....Cheesecake Factory, Hooters, etc.....the seafood restaurants aren't even that great there. And the women in Baltimore.....well need I remind you that Bmore is the gonnorhea capital of the world? I guess Willis just prefers the ghetto!! My husband and I went to the Ravens/Bills game on New Years Eve last year and my husband made the mistake of wearing a McGahee jersey. All of the fans around us were saying how Willis sucked.

A few things. I love Buffalo as much as anyone, but coming to northern b-more for college has made me like this area. I can't really compare the cleanliness of the cities, cause they both have their nice areas and the dumps (ever seen the wire? :( ). However, you should never make the mistake of dissing Baltimore seafood restaurants in general. That's like dissing cheesesteak places in Philly, or wings in B-Lo. As far as the girls go... I just finished at Towson U which is just 2 miles north of the city line. A few years back it was rated by Playboy as the number two college in the country for girls behind only USC. Add in the 3 to 1 girl to guy ratio in the area and even a guy like me can get lucky.

With that stated, I was at the New Years Eve game as well (sitting in a season ticket holder section with a giant chicken wing on my head) and definitely noticed a lack of fans that wanted to talk football, which is something I love doing at road games. The Raven "fans" around here keep telling me that McGahee is going to be incredible now that he's on a great team, but I don't buy it. Stack up the Raven's O vs the Bills O by position and I think people can tell that Buffalo should be the better of the two this year. The Ravens still don't have a legitimate number one receiver, their QB is definitely on the decline, and they are possibly going to lose 3 starting OL men.

  8. So were the two guys that voted no. What it means to me is that he got everything he wanted, otherwise he would have thrown a fit and refused to play shuffleboard with these guys for the whole weekend.

    Actually, they were not.

"Along with the Bills, the committee consists of the New York Giants, St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans."

  9. A few things I notice about this trade.

Atlanta is now in prime position to take S LaRon Landry at the 8 spot. Miami was the only other team with a realistic interest and they just got leapfrogged. Houston would be smart to take Levi Brown at the 10 spot. The AP talk (if he's even there) doesn't make sense with such a deep depth chart at the position (A. Green, W. Lundy, D. Williams, and R. Dayne).

  10. Actually I think I'll go with the 120W and get the $100 foot pedal (with Wah/Volume pedal, my first!). That will cost be about $500 and give me twice the power I had with my old amp I used to gig with.

You should get a Marshall JCM DSL Half-Stack. Great for gigs and you can get many great tones from it. Hey! I happen to have one I'm trying to sell!:worthy: :worthy:

  11. Since there is so much concern about people dropping their seasons, who has already sent in their renewal, or got seasons for the first time this year?

I've renewed my two seats in the Van Miller Club.

A buddy and I just got a pair for this season. We'll be coming up from Baltimore, MD for the games.

...and for the record, we're pretty broke, too.

  12. If I lived in Buffalo, or even within 200 miles of the Ralph, I'd buy seasons. As it is, I pay to fly back every year for at least one or two games with my dad and sometimes the whole family. What I will say is that the turn-off at the game is the gaggle of belligerent drunks more than the product on the football field. I enjoy my beer, but I have been sort of floored at how negative the atmosphere is, and that's saying something considering this is Buffalo.

Love the town, love the team, but some of the people could use a major attitude adjustment. The way this team was run off the field at the last (Titans) home game was unacceptable considering they did give us more fun than we perhaps expected. Perhaps we'll be losing some of the people who perpetuate this attitude. Or, perhaps their seats will be filled with more people

Really looking forward to the next season, though.

I'm about 387.1 miles (or so) from Orchard Park and just bought seasons for the first time. I'm pumped.

  13. Seems like everyone is posting about Ralph and Marv are cheap, blah blah blah.... "we'll never win without retaining these guys"... how many times have we made the playoffs with this group of UFA's? The leadership of the organization has a plan and strategy in place... we've already seen what they can do in a !@#$in' rebuilding year... let them do what they damn well feel like doing. This organization is headed in the right direction.
