  1. Don't forget a legit 3rd WR. We only have two threats there. Reed hasn't blossomed and Aiken just hasn't stepped up.

I agree about the #2 RB which can be found in the middle rounds.

OG is a need for more consistency. It would be awesome to know you had Tucker and Price off the bench for spot duty at G and T while having a solid core of 5 guys across the front starting.

Wouldn't be shocked at the CB being taken somewhere but I expect both PP and Reese to be gone next year. Big and athletic safeties should be available around our pick in the lower 2nd round. Wire looks like a special teams demon and nothing else at this point.

Drew is here for the rest of his career IMO. Probably one more year of starting at least. We might draft another young guy for #3 but Matthews' experience to talk to Drew on the sideline is invaluable.

Maybe another OLB if quality is there.

While the Nugent kid is intruiging at K, Lindell continues to get the job done.

  2. The Woodlands is only 3 hours away.  But I'd highly recommend the Bills Bar "Sansones" (sp) down there on Houston's west side. There are lots of Bills fans there and they have awesome wings. You can find the address on the Bills Bars section of buffalobills.com

Yep, I used to frequent Sansone's quite often until the DirectTV system was purchased a few years back. It's still more fun to be with other fans though.

Thanks for the offer and if you are ever down this way, let me know!

  3. Just a hunch:

Campbell out for the rest of the year torn ACL in both knees. (MM said both knees were injured)

Big Mike: Sprained knee, practices this week and will be a game time decision, not a serious injury (he was on the bike all 2nd half trying to get back in, so it can't be THAT bad).

Thanks for the update! Good to know he was actually on the bike. Appreciate the info.

  4. Big Mike suffered a right knee injury if I'm not mistaken. He was shown on the bench grimmacing when Jonas was down shaking his head as if to say there was no way he could go back in. Damn, I hope it ain't bad. He has been THE major reason our running game has been successful.

Within two series, we lost our starting offensive tackles and our top two tight ends.

Fortunately, Jonas and Euhus did return. It looks as though Campbell is done for the season though. When he planted, his right knee buckled and he went down holding it and I saw him on the sidelines on crutches.

  5. Most definitely an "iffy" call ICE and one I wouldn't have made at that point in the game. The guy did sprint straight into the DB and used his arms as a push-off though. Still, I wouldn't have made the call. Texas was flat and deserved to lose. However, with the call being made and such, KU should have tackled a QB on 4th and 18 and not allowed the drive to continue!!!!!

I agree about your Sooners and how I think they will get screwed from playing in the BCS Championship because of strength of schedule compared to Auburn's win over Georgia. Should only be used outside of your conference schedule!!!

  6. This new jersey that is waiting approval from the NFL by the Bills for next season is supposedly a throwback version or styling. Will this be worn just on a selected game or two per season like other teams are doing or is this a total change from the recent uniform changes made a couple years back? I would hate to purchase a new authentic jersey and get burned by another change. I assumed this would be the once or twice version but an article that someone had linked on here made me wonder that.

  8. Two possibilities for the 33rd or so pick would be Ben Wilkerson-C; LSU or Vince Carter-C;Oklahoma. One of these guys might slide to us and could start from day one. Oklahoma has two All-Americans on their OL and Carter is one of them. Wilkerson was injured earlier in the year and not sure of his status at the present time. Just a couple of guys to watch the remainder of the college season and bowl games.

  9. McGahee looked great on the clock killing drive that Villarial ended up blowing for us anyways.  He looked really tough to bring down on some of those runs.  You can see him getting faster and stronger with every carry he gets.

Henry looked really good also, after a somewhat slow start.  I have not forgot who our #1 guy is.

You can see us wearing down defenses with these two horses beating up on them throughout the course of a game.

Couldn't agree more. He didn't look real quick but as he carried more he got better and better. Those big guys did start wearing down, no doubt. It's a shame we had,'t had a 10 point lead while we were pounding Willis. This 1-2 punch will be pay big dividends for us. That was a great defense we played against the run.

Btw, McGahee had one helluva blitz pickup on the pass to Campbell!

I miss the good ole days of pass, pass, run, punt!

Not at all! This is what we should have been doing is running the clock by pounding the football. But, all I'm saying is as the game progresses, we should have taken a couple of shots downfield. At the end, sure, protect the game and the lead. But as the new rules state and has happened throughout the league today, test the CB's, you might hit one or you might get a penalty and in the process, the safeties are a bit slower to react in the box. Not advocating on every first down but just a couple or three times in a game. Does that sound like last year? I think not!

  11. We can't go for the big play!  Our line can't block for 3 secs and DB will get killed!

Why would it matter when receivers are dropping easy passes and fumbling  in the red zone?

    27696[/snapback]

You don't have to take a 7-step drop or even a 5-step drop to go deep.

I agree however about the WR fumbling thing as that more than anything cost us the game.

  12. Look, I don't think we played a Super Bowl caliber team today but I beg you to find me a better up the middle 5 spots on any other team in the league. Henderson, Stroud, Petersen, Darius and Grant are stout. While I admire the coaching philosophy to continue to hammer them, and it was working late, we still need to take some shots down the field to keep those Safeties from cheating up and smashing our guys so easily. The only vertical play was to Campbell and that was from necessity as Bledsoe was about to be sacked and made a great throw in there. The veterans made some mistakes out there. Villarieal with two penalties, Williams with one, Moulds fumbling in field goal range, Clements allowing Smith to catch that ball(just good football in my eyes)and others I'm sure.

Bottom line is this. Just mix in a little bit of vertical game and continue to hammer at people and we will be fine. Don't under-estimate how good that defense we just played is. Our defense played well enough to win. The offense has to help more.

    Sound familiar?
