1. It's natural, but I wasn't being a prick there.  Is there any reason for you to attack people when this was my reply to someone else.  Or do you just like being a pr*ck?

It's not my nature but for you, it is a constant theme. Lighten up dude. We're all fans here and have differing opinions. You don't have to agree but don't be a d*ck all your life either.

  2. I'm sorry, but until the tiem JP shows he can make it out of PRACTICE without an injury, I refuse to believe he'll survive in the NFL. and to think we could have had a shot at Roethlisberger.

    258204

Who said we had a shot at Big Ben? We tried to trade up in front of Pitt and Houston wouldn't take an incredible offer to swap picks with us. They wanted Dunta Robinson and knew if they slid from 10 to 13 that the Jets would take Robinson at 12. We never had a shot at him dude!

  3. Uhhh...thats what they are asking for...the Bills were the only team to offer them a player for Shelton.

    I'd give up a 3rd rounder for Shelton, no problem...not a 2nd rounder though.

    257829

I'm with you Malta. Do a 3rd in a heartbeat but then again, a 2nd probably won't produce where Shelton would. Hey, even if we get a 3rd for Henry, that's two picks in the first day.

  4. I think we'll see the Henry for Shelton trade before signing anyone. That said I feel Keydrick Vincent might be the first guy we sign as Mularkey and Clements know him and won't cost near as much as Wahle.

    256312

Totally agree with you Jokeman! Vincent has been my guy all along. The dude is huge and played well this year. He will be a solid LG for us for the next several years. As you said, Mularkey and Clements know him and he will be a cheaper version. Remember, you don't pay huge money to Guards.(Wahle)

  5. ...one would wonder if this draft will be to replenish the guys he can't or will not re-sign. With most of our defense eligible including Adams, Clements, Milloy, Posey, Fletcher and Kelsay, could this draft be defensive?

He already drafted Tim Anderson last year to fill in for big Pat leaving. Are our young back-up LB's the real deal? Time will tell. I bet the following will be allowed to leave: Adams, Milloy, Posey and possibly Fletcher.

With that philosophy in place, Ernest Shazor looks logical in the 2nd if he is there as well as Patterson from USC at DT or the LB from Tenn in Burnett.

My guess is he will try and do everything he can to re-up Nate and Kelsay will get done. If Fletcher takes a modest deal he will stay. Adams already gave us a good deal and I don't see it twice.

What I thought would be an offensive-minded draft might be just the opposite.

  6. As you folks read above and I said, Henry may not be enough.  LT's with Sheltons cap and his ability, regardless of the idiot writeup on sport inc, Shelton is a very good LT.

They(Cards) lose leverage when he doesn't play and has been demoted to 2nd team at times. The guy hasn't played to his expected promise and it isn't a lock that he produces here either. I definitely wouldn't give any picks along with Travis for him. Player for player here makes sense.

  7. Nice read!

Yeah, as much as I would like to have JJ back and cut the deal for Shelton, we won't do both. I just can't see it. Shelton for Henry just makes sense. He will get in here with his cousin, our starting fullback Daimon, and feel right at home.

As for as LG goes, I think it will be Keydrick Vincent from Pittsburgh. No ties to Donahoe here as he got there after TD but the guy is expendable there as their former first rounder returns next year from injury.(Kendall Simmons)

The C, RG and RT are set and I agree about re-signing Price. Having Price and Tucker to fill in off the bench at T,G and C would be a luxury. This gives Dylan Mc Farland another year to gain strength to play in this league.

As for as QB, not sure where we go. I think he will be a mobile QB though. Batch definitely is an option.

Keeping big Pat would be nice but we have drafted to replace those DT's recently and I wouldn't be shocked if we don't do it.

TE is a move I agree with. Franks would be "huge" in this offense. Would love to do it if he isn't franchised.

The draft is full of big RB's with good speed 3 to 4 rounds deep. Burkhalter has been hurt too much for me but was real explosive at one time. Amos Zeroue has been mentioned with that Pitt connection but I think our backup RB is from the draft. (Verand Morency-Ok.St. or Cedric Houston-Tenn.)

WR is another position we need upgrading at. After the top 2 we have nothing! If one of those guys goes down, we will be controlled! I would love to trade for Rod Gardner from Washington as a big possession type guy. He is supposedly on the market for a 3rd or 4th rounder. I would do it in a heartbeat! I would also look to add another speed guy to the mix like Roscoe Parrish from UM. Not that he will be Santana Moss-like but that speed along with Evans and Moulds will keep safeties back and allow a Franks and McGahee show to prosper.

At last, I'm with the Nugent faction on here. The kid has been money in college and can boom it in the endzone. The kicker alone decides too many outcomes and Lindell is friggin' shaky.

    Recap:

---Make the trade with Henry for LJ Shelton

---Trade for Ron Gardner-WR for a 3rd to Washington.

---Sign Keydrick Vincent-LG, Bubba Franks-TE and re-sign Pat Williams to a friendly deal.

---Draft Kicker Nugent in the 2nd.

---Look at backup RB in the 4th with Cedric Houston from Tennessee.

---Waive PP and Izell Reese at the Safety positions and add a late draftee.

  8. Here's wishful thinkin':

--Bledsoe decides to re-do his contract and stay as a backup and tutor to JP

--Prioleau is cut for cap savings

--Jonas signs long term deal with Bills that is fair to both

--Pat Williams signs as well with the Bills

--Keydrick Vincent is signed in F/A to play LG

--Marcus Price is signed to be primary backup at OT with Mc Farland still building strength

--Bills get aggressive again on Draft Day to get another playmaker WR and target Mike Williams from USC

--work a deal with Chicago to move into the top of the 1st to acquire Williams by giving up Travis Henry, Jeff Posey, this years 2nd and next years #1 and #2.

--unexpectantly, with our 3rd, Nugent is still on the board and we draft him and waive Lindell in camp.

--look to fill depth with the rest of draft picks. If Nugent is gone, take a gamble with the speed of Roscoe Parrish

  9. I hear it's great. Watch out for the bears. They have a couple of attacks evey year. The Bear pepper spray really does work.

I am embarrassed to say that I have lived in Montana 10 years and have not been to Glacier yet. I've been to Yellowstone Park many times but not Glacier.

    225408

I go to Glacier every August as I visit a good friend up there. We fly-fish and drink many cervezas! Glacier is a cool place to see but I only see it in the Summer.

My bud is in Kalispell and Bledsoe's place is in Whitefish, about 25 miles away. Very cool place I must say. Excellent golfing in the area as well as Flathead Lake.

  10. Would love to have this guy come in and play LG for us! If we can somehow find a way to re-sign Jonas to a "fair" deal and have Price and Tucker off the bench to fill in as primary reserves at OT and G/C, we would be in much better shape! Hey, Vincent isn't Faneca but he ain't all bad either. That would give the pups another year to mature while serving as backups. This list would include McFarland-LT, Peters-RT, Smith-G, Bannan-G and Sobieski-G/C. Maybe a G/C will be added through the draft as well.

  11. Anyone have the game on TIVO? On the play that sealed our fate...the defensive TD by Pittsburgh in the fourth quarter, they blitzed two men on our right side. Either Mike Williams or Willis missed #21, who forced the fumble. I think #33 was picked up by both Willis and Mike, when it appeared to me one of them should have taken him and the other could have picked up #21.

Did I see this play correctly? Who missed the assignment?

    189462

I haven't gone back and viewed it again but i remember in the replay they were showing, Willis looking back into the backfield from his knees like he had just missed a guy. Not too sure however.

  12. The Steelers had 8 and 9 in the box all day, someone was one on one out there. The refusal to go deep was an embarrasment.

    189082

Sorry, but if I get beat, i'm going down on my terms...swinging...chunking it deep and mixing it up. We totally catered to their defense. Mix in the mistakes and we were finished. reed has to go and we need Eric to stop dropping easy passes and find another threat to make defenses fear us.

  13. Instead, we tried forcing it into tight coverages to our 3rd string TE and worthless #3 WR from LSU. Seems like we were coaching not to lose. Everyone contributed to this loss guys. Drew, Eric, Josh, Willis, Shaud, special teams, the defense, lindell and most of all, the offensive gameplan. We lacked aggressiveness in our playcalling. We didn't dictate. Knowing they were gonna have backups in the game, we held back and played into their hands. Very frustrated.

  14. Still though, we can throw the ball to the wideouts but haven't found the rhythem.

Only one attempt to Evans as well. Give credit to the DEFENSE only giving up FG's on all of those drives starting at midfield. Don't think the DEFENSE has played all that well either. Screw throwing at the TE. Get it to the WR's and pound Willis.
