  1. Very nice shots there SDS from a non-attendee.

I gotta say, I'm glad to see NJ Sue there amongst the loyalists.

Maybe someday I'll be able to attend one of these.

  2. I like how fans think our preseason doesn't mean anything ("It's only preseason, it's not real!!!"), but preseason exposes weaknesses in other teams. :D

Bro, just stating what I've witnessed down here......never have I commented about the pre-season and where we are. Let's talk in three weeks about the Bills' weaknesses and strengths.

  3. Listening this morning and he said our receivers aren't nothing to worry about but they are concentrating on Willis and J.P.. Sure hope we open up the offense against them although we should be able to run at will.

They were terrible against the Raida's this pre-season.

  4. I just visited bb.com's roster page and what I saw shocked me. Kevin Everett is listed on the practice squad.

Last time I checked, ANY team can sign a practice squad player from another team by simply placing them on their active roster. If this is legit, then anyone can sign Kevin Everett.

    Anybody know what's up?

  5. I think Goldsberry, Ritzmann, Ezekial are locks to be brought back.

I agree but I also think Gause is as well. Heard they like both of those CB's as well. But , we have to have an OL or two stashed or we will be in trouble with an injury or two.

  6. Really looking for Gause to step up and win the spot. If he shows well enough to justify a P.S. spot, I would be afraid that he would be picked up after we waived him and before we could re-sign him to the P.S.. Therefore, I think he sticks on the active roster.

  7. Depending on trades yet to be made and where the compensation will be, here is a list of slightly out of reach to in reach targets for the Bills:

Khalif Barnes--LT...McNally supposedly loves his play!

Antaaj Hawthorne--DT...Krumrie loved the guy and with the dope smoking problem, he might slide right to us!

Chris Spencer--C/G...great potential and very athletic

Jason Brown--C...strong anchor for years to battle Wilfork and the Jet DT's

Matt Jones--WR...Mularkey supposedly loves his potential for mismatches.

    My dark horse:

Justin Tuck--DE...something about his speed, I wouldn't be shocked.

    Any other suggestions?

  8. the best person available in the second round might be another fast wide reciever

The Bills also LOVE Matt Jones...he is the real FREAK!!!!  I doubt the Bills will get an opportunity to draft this 6'6" 4.39 WR/TE/QB

I agree and it would definitely benefit JP to have another weapon. The FS would have to stay back every play with both he and Evans on the field which would help out our RB's too!!!!!!

  9. Cards-- I would accept the LJ Shelton and a swap of 2nds for sure. I would also "settle" for LJ and their 3rd instead of swapping 2nds.

Bucs--I would not take on Kenyatta Walker or Stinchcomb straight up. I wouldn't take their 3rd straight up for Travis either. I would however take their 2nd rounder straight up for Travis. That seems logical but would hamper them in moving up into the first round for a "targeted' pick.

Best deal to me: LJ and swap of 2nd's.

Next best deal: Travis for the Bucs' 2nd rounder

Last deal: LJ and their(Cards) 3rd rounder

I know the Iggles have supposedly inquired but not sure about the interest.

  10. He wants Mike Williams extremely bad and he is just making sure that Brown among others is selected before them so that Williams is there. They then can make the trade for Travis for their 2nd and all of a sudden, they have a good offense with Clayton,Williams,Galloway and Henry.

  11. the 15th or 16th of March I believe.

Definitely next week...I'm just not sure whether new books/magazines get shipped to the stores on Tuesdays or Wednesdays anymore.  I used to work at a Waldenbooks a few years ago and I knew that date by heart since I always made sure I got the first copy out of box.  But its definitely one of those two dates.

    You da man Malta!

    Thanks!

  12. 2)  G David Baas,  Michigan

This pick is projected to be acquired by trading our 3rd round pick in 2006 and Travis Henry to Arizona in exchange for their R2 pick this year.

    2)  C Chris Spencer,  Ole Miss

    3)  WR Terrence Murphy,  Texas A&M

    4)  CB Alphonso Hodge,  Miami (OH)

    5)  RB Brandon Jacobs,  Southern Illinois

    6)  K Tyler Jones,  Boise State or K Jonathan Nichols,  Ole Miss

    7)  Defensive Depth

Obviously,  the first two picks are made with the intent of helping correct this friggin' mess known as the Bills OL.  Both are excellent prospects who should be come,  at the least,  above average NFL starters and I think there's a good chance both will be on the board.  Trey Teague would have to move to LT,  where I don't think he'll be particularly effective,  but IMO,  he's the best of a sorry bunch of available options.  Baas and Spencer compete at LG and C,  respectively,  with Tucker,  Gandy and Smith for the interior starting spots.  Hopefully,  these two picks will improve the interior of the OL enough that the Bills can hide their weakness at LT.  LT will probably be a priority in the '06 offseason.  I don't think they'll find one this offseason.  This isn't an ideal solution,  for sure,  but given that the Bills OL situation is currently pretty bleak,  its about as good as can be expected.

Murphy and Hodge could potentially see close to 50% of the snaps this year if they can win the #3 roles at their respective positions.  Jacobs gives the Bills a strong backup to Willis McGahee who can help wear defenses down.  Either of the two kickers represent good value in R6,  and I believe both will have very good NFL careers.  In R7,  who knows who the Bills will pick,  but hopefully they can find a little defensive depth.  Admittedly,  this draft would be very light on defense,  but given our needs on offense and our strength defensively,  I don't see the Bills actual draft being much different,  barring additional FA signings.

I like that draft! Hope we can pull that off!

  13. Yeah, Clayton says Jennings is/was flying out to Frisco today.

I don't like too much what he had to say about the Henry trade situation.  Looks like the guy blew his best chance to go start for another team by getting greedy.

    Thanks a lot, Travis.

Yeah, Frisco is to be offering 5 mill. per. C'Ya!
