  1. A few of the Bills have gone out there to implore the crowd to be as crazy and loud as possible.  They've made reference to how tough it was during previous playoff games in Arrowhead to hear the snap counts and audibles.  So I think they're trying to get the fans riled up.  The home noise is obviously a really big deal. I haven't heard any slander towards the Chiefs.  Mostly, that they are the champs until someone beats them....blah blah blah

If the Bills lose, you fire McDermott, period.  No more excuses.  You have the game at home ... as you had Cincinnati at home last year ... don't care about division titles, playoff appearances, Wild Card round victories ... if the Bills lose again at home in the playoffs, you have to change the regime, it will have been proven without doubt that McDermott simply cannot get the Bills over the hump.

That's what Michael Irvin said this morning.  He picked the Bills in a close game, but he said it's Armageddon in Buffalo....and if the Bills can't beat this version of Kansas City, they need to tear it all down and try something else.

Really cool video of the chip shot miss, looks even worse from this angle though, we need an automatic 3 if we're kicking.  Bass gotta get it together vs these elite teams

Did we ever find out what happened with this kick?   I can forgive the guy for slipping with his plant foot or something.  But if the snap, hold and footing were all good… then this shank is beyond worrisome.

Really? I'm not disagreeing or agreeing,  it's just an interesting statement,  maybe you're right

I should have added during the week of the biggest game of the season. Maybe the biggest in a few years. But good to see the guys are loose.

On another note I saw a show with Julian Edelman. He said part of the Belichek mystique is he had the Patriots so tight and over preprared. He would quiz players in the hallways about their assignments the week of playoff games. And guys were scared to make a mistake and get anything wrong.  They’d go into the games tight and nervous. So maybe there is no right or wrong approach.

  4. I like when Allen moves around and either scrambles or makes a play on the run.  That's when he's at his best.

He's not Jared Goff.  When he sits there in the pocket looking around, sometimes he tends to take too long and throws an inaccurate pass or one of those 100mph fastballs to a guys standing 7 yards in front of him.

  5. I would fear a healthy Joe Burrow led Bengals team more than KC.   We've proven we match up and can beat the Chiefs, just gotta show it in the playoffs.

Yes, there are special teams concerns and defense back end injuries.   The Key to this game, however, is doing something to KC much like what the Bills did to Dallas.  Show them some intensity and tenacity that they are not expecting.  I'm sure they expect to see the Bills they always see at Arrowhead.  But for this game Sunday, Buffalo has to raise that intensity, especially the trench guys, to a level the Chiefs are just not expecting whatsoever.  That coupled with the home crowd advantage will not only make the Bills play better, it will cause Kansas City mistakes.

  6. He’s a sports talk entertainer or whatever, not some serious media person.

In short he’s been irritated for a few years that the national media awards the Bills the preseason Super Bowl and how they are often big favorites in Vegas without having done anything in the playoffs. While in his mind, the Chiefs always have to prove it on the field to get the credibility they deserve.

But he does like Allen he just likes to rib on him and do his banner schtick.

  7. Are they gonna boo Swift if they show her on the big board?  I would hope Buffalo fans would have a little more class than to do that.  It's not like she's Bon Jovi or something trying to buy and move the team.

I suspect you would hear boos because those would be the dopes that are drunk and shouting.....drowning out the few that would cheer.

The punt average and holding for Haack are fine.

My worry is punt blocks. He is the slowest Bills punter this century in getting punts off.

The kicking specialists battle on Sunday is a no contest.  It's completely one sided for KC.  If we win any portion of the kicking/punting battle it's gravy.

Well, they didn't shut down us, the Packers, Eagles or Raiders in recent weeks before that and lost all four games.

    Hence the data.

    :)

Also, they haven't beaten a playoff team all season other than for Miami.

Talk about playing with house money.

In losses to the Eagles, Broncos and Raiders,  it should be noted that KC's defense gave up minimal total yardage.  Turnovers, drops, missed opportunities really did them in.

If the Bills can run, throw and put up well over 300 yards of offense that would be a real good accomplishment and give us a great chance to win obviously.

So looking at the weather, I see that y'all are getting more snow up there right now, and even more to come over the next few days. Question: Will the Bills have the stadium 100% cleaned out (of snow) by game time Sun night, or will it be another clusterf***?

The good news is that the snow band today is all up in North Buffalo, Amherst, Williamsville, Tonawanda, Grand Island, etc..  it should not affect the Bills practice and preparation, other than being super windy.  The band is supposed to move back down towards Orchard Park tonight and Thursday will be a snowy day there.

Still some snow over the weekend but nothing crazy and the winds are not looking too bad.  I'm sure the Stadium will be looking good for Sunday, much better than the Steelers game.

  11. I'm sure Chiefs fans are confident because they are the Champs until proven otherwise and they have a healthy Mahomes plus a solid D.  I'd be confident if I were them too.

I don't think this game comes down to matchups or anything.  There will be no surprises for either side.  I think Josh Allen has to carry the Bills on his back and carve up the Chiefs D (with his arm and legs) like no other team has done this season.

  12. The key in this game compared to the previous 2 KC playoff games is that they don't have to contend with the Mahomes-Tyreek connection.  That was such a mismatch, even before they lost a step.
