  1. Better platform than I heard in November. I'm in.
  2. It's a big deal when the White House press secretary is a moron. Holocaust Centers, for Christ's sake. In a vacuum, it's a bad day, but Spicer is a disaster.
  3. The board's current obsession with DR aside, boots on the ground in Syria is not only a bad idea, but would be a move that doesn't sound like Trump. I'd be surprised.
  4. This instance is. His incompetence, which this flows from, is not.
  5. How much longer can Spicer last? No mistaking him for competent. The latest Hitler speech is another Miss Teen South Carolina moment. "Holocaust Centers"
  6. It hurts to talk to someone who molds every headline to prove a constantly expanding conspiracy narrative. Stop pounding your head against the wall.
  7. You make my point perfectly. The Reps won the political point (and the Dem lost it in blszingly embarassing fashion). But where everything is divided by party and not a mission to work together with country as priority, we don't win. And the point won is as short lived as Obamacare, Trumpcare, immigration, gat bathrooms. When no one compromises and works towards a middle solution, the majority will just keep subjugating the minority. That makes for ceaseless divisiveness and change: not teamwork and predictability. So by all means, celebrate your guys win in the moment. I'm doing so, you reflect the confidence of Harry Reid.
  8. There's an obsession on this board and the media with showing hypocrisy. "When the shoe was on the other foot the [Repubs/Dems] did it." We can carry on that discussion all day. So I disagree with you. This is not a "both sides" fallacy. Neither side, not either one, is showing that they are doing what's best for Americans. They continuously show that their priority is party and their own hides. So a pox on both their houses until and unless they show that they can work together and for "us."
  9. Not a priority for me--you and your husband should be OK.
  10. And how many voted for Garland? This stupidity cuts both ways. It's an asshat duel at high noon. I hope both parties score fatal shots.
  11. Mine was in jest. War Powers Act is about as meaningful as the tenth amendment at this point.
  12. It's just a chart. And it shows an entrenched Congress. What one of hundreds of sources would you prefer? Attacking the source is the weak-minded but preferred response these days.
  13. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/cruz-supreme-court-blockade-230363 More evidence of the failing of the Senate, no matter what party put them in, even your guys.
  14. We will see but don't expect a lot more than this strike on a single target.
  15. The US struck a specific target. Don't expect a lot more to happen on the remove Assad front.
  16. Is that a real thing or are you making that up?
  17. Even though you and Tom argue that no Senate ever has to advise and consent on any pick (because they are allowed to hold a vote 100 years from now-nice logic fellas) despite what the Constitution says, let's not confuse duty with politics. The Senate played party politics st every step on both sides. Are you proud today then? Massacred. Go look at Congress re-election stats. The Republicans can rejoice today but in 4-6 years they may be in the minority with no voice. Awful outcome. All are to blame.
  18. As I said, everyone lost today. What happened today when the sun rose was going to happen because both parties failed us in the events leading up to this. There's no way to view it any other way. There is a good guy joining the SC but even his excellence is tarnished by what happened to Garland. These people just flat suck.
  19. Stupid. 51 shouldn't subjugate 49. The filibuster's purpose was to ensure one party had to work with the other on larger decisions. That's gone. Not blaming the Dems or Reps. Blaming them both. They all suck balls.
  20. America loses today. Thanks both Dems and Reps. Tenure lives in Comgress.
  21. We have seen words before. Good speech but is it sound and fury signifying something? Getting the Russians to back down and stop shielding Assad is unlikely. They are already playing the fake news card. And the situation in North Korea is not easy either.
  22. It doesn't get more true the more you say it. A lot of Dem presidents engaged in wars, and died in watrs they believed in, to stop the spread of Soviet communism. So maybe stfu with your stupid exaggerations and try to make salient points.
  23. What a stupid and crap move by the Dems. And they will all get reelected.
