  1. Canadians did a great job in both World Wars, as well.  Fought like hell in Flanders, composed maybe half the convoy escorts and a good chunk of RAF Bomber Command in the North Atlantic in WWII.

Denmark, on the other hand, in WWII stole the world speed record for quickest surrender from the French.  They caved to the Nazis in something like an hour.

Gee - Denmark had a real chance - one border (no fortifications) with the Reich and surrounded by water on the other three sides. They did have a resistance along with a bunch of national traitors.

  2. it looks pretty good for July 24th!!!  Check back in  a month when 99% of the other draft take place.

I've never heard of a Fantasy Football draft BEFORE training camp opens.

Looks good except for the two QB's - a WR doesn't make a QB better - even Moss.

Oakland still doesn't have a ground attack -

    Yep - I would never draft before T/C - ours is 9/5

    Injuries - Injuries - Injuries

Troy Vincent on JP - go figure

  3. Other than the zoo, what is there to do in Buffalo with a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old?

If you feel like crossong the border - Marineland is pretty cool

If you don't and want some amusement time - Fantasy Island on G.I. is low key for small kids - kinda similar to Seabreeze

The Miss Buffalo boat tour is also informative and cool enough for kids.

Then - Putt-Putt on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda with a visit to Ted's right down the street - there are some things better than garbage plates !

  4. most of the time players enter because they would have been considered academically ineligible, or ineligible for some other off the field problem...so lots of times (but not always) these are player with character issues...

Bernie Kosar was #1 in the supplemental draft (thanks to the Bills) - I'm not sure he was ever in court. He was eligible because he graduated late - after his class

  5. Anyone who thinks Hollywood doesn't make good films should see "Crash". It's pretty damn good. Maybe tries a little too hard, and quite preposterous at times, but excellent writing, directing, acting, casting, music, editing, etc.

    Excellent flick -

I finally saw "Sideways" too - very differnet - but good and thoughtful

Also watched "Pure Country" (1992) this day with George Strait - weak script but a feel good story with a killer sound track !

  6. ESPN is showing all 4 Bills Super Bowl losses this afternoon (and I'm watching it with my father-in-law who's a Cowboys fan) - shoot me now.

Man, those were some great teams - it's painful to see them come up short time and time again and losing by bigger and bigger margins.

Our COX Cable franchise just added the NFL Network on July 1st and on July 2nd - all four Super Bowls - what a way to start

  7. So i got a throwback McGahee jersey and of course something spilled on it immediately.

Is there anything i should know about laundering it?

I was gonna wash it cold/gentle cycle.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
