Sep 24 Mark Craig, of the Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Mewelde Moore is not a big fan of his former college teammate at Tulane, Buffalo Bills QB J.P. Losman. "I just didn't like the way he played ball the last two years at Tulane," Moore said. "You are what you are. He's a great player, and he'll be a great player once he plays total team ball and sells out for the team and not for himself." Moore indicated that Losman's selfishness affected Tulane's effectiveness as a team. "I wish the best to him. I just don't have any interest in playing with him," added Moore.

Maybe he should worry about his own career

Sounds like he has some "potential" to answer to - highly touted once ?

  2. That's okay--they just wanted Charlie's first home game to be memorable....

come on boys..hold em....Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.  Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death amen

Oh and let the Bills win tomorrow to...

Oh - and #3 for MSU is officially my "brain challenged" Player Of The Week

  3. So I should get there before noon to wait in line? Or does the place open early for the Bills Backers?

    444113

I don't know - if you are that close - I would saunter over there tonight and ask the bartenders what the rules are. I imagine there is a hefty line if they only open at noon - and the Patriots play at 1 PM also

  4. Fans, players, coaches all love the new throwback unis and I for one just hate to see us go back to our current unis. I would like the NFL to waive the silly rule of giving a full 1 year notice. I can honestly say those were the best looking unis in the league last week.

Follow the money - it takes time for the manufacturers to gear up production - hence "part" of the one year rule

  5. Actually it was Curtis Brown in 1978 ... and it was definitely not Al Edwards' only NFL touchdown, that same year he caught about a 50-yarder from Kelly against the Bears ...

    443374

    I stand corrected

I mis-spoke - Al Edwards only ST - TD in the previously mentioned game

    On September 29, 1991

Al Edwards caught a 33-yard pass from Jim Kelly in 14:48 of the 2nd quarter to cap off a 11 play 85-yard drive and make the current score Bills 6 - Bears 7

The Bills went on to win 35-20 and Al Edwards finished with two catches for 44 yards

  6. I vaguely in my mind's eye can remember and picture some of this!!! Incredible! Well, like I said, dear sir, you are officially my hero now!. . .

Got anything on the 1983 Bills-Rams game at "The Big A" in Anaheim where the Bills lost 41-17 (I think). I think Fergy hit Byron Franklin for a first half TD. But threw three picks in the game? And Eric Dickerson ran for over 100 yds. that day.

    September 27, 1983

After losing to the Raiders the prevoius week in Orchard Park (27-24) Joe Ferguson throws five second-half interceptions in Anaheim after the Bills trailed 14-7 at half time. The Bills score on a 15 yard TD pass to Tony Hunter (2nd qtr) and a 43-yarder to Byron Franklin (3rd qtr). Joe D. was 20-44 (271) but 5 Int's would ruin anyone's day and led to 12 LA points.

Dickerson was 32 for 125 including a 2-yard TD and one other that was called back on penalty.

They also lost to San Francisco that season to complete the West Coast "Hat Trick"

  7. When I was very young, I can still recollect being at the L.A. Coliseum in 1974 (I believe. . . maybe 1975) and watching O.J. Simpson run against the Los Angeles Rams of Jack Youngblood, Jim Youngblood, Fred Dryer, (maybe Isaiah Robertson too.) I remember that O.J. fumbled down near the Ram goalline, but Buffalo recovered in the endzone for a TD. I believe that the Rams won 19-14.

If anyone can confirm this old stuff, you'd officially be my hero. . .

    December 15, 1974

Bills score first 6-0 after OJ fumbles in the end zone but Ahmad Rashad recovers for the goal. Ex-Bill James Harris led the Rams to their first TD of the game later to be replaced by Ron Jaworski who scored on a one-yard run.

Fergy hit JD Hill for a pretty 55-yard TD but the horrid Bills defense of that era could not stop the Rams at the end of the game and the Bills lost.

the Bills still qualified for the playoffs (first appearence since 1966) and played the next Sunday at Three Rivers but were no match for Bradshaw's Steelers

  8. As a So Cal native, I was just talking with some buddies about a Bills-Raiders game we attended at the L.A. Coliseum way back in the Bills Superbowl years.

Al Edwards had a kickoff return of about 94 yds for a TD that day, and Norwood won it late or in O.T. after struggling mightily with misses that day.

But, I cannot remember the exact year. can anyone help me out with this?

    443246

    December 8, 1991

    1st quarter - Bills trailing 10-0

Al Edwards returns a KO 91 yards for a 10-6 score - first one since Chris Brown did one in 1978.

    His only NFL TD

Kelly hit Lofton for a nine yard score with 1:00 left to tie the game

The Raiders got the ball first but Mark Kelso intercepted and a 31 yard Kelly to Reed pass set up Norowood's winning 42- yard kick

    On that subject:

There is a dangerous virus being passed electronically, orally and by hand.

This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK). If you

receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss or anyone else via

any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life

    completely.

If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take 2

good friends to the nearest pub. Purchase the antidote known as

    Work-Isolator-Neutralizer-Extractor (WINE).

The quickest acting WINE type is called

Swift-Hitting-Infiltrator-Remover-All-Zones (SHIRAZ) but this is only

available for those who can afford it,the next best equivalent is

Cheapest-Available-System-Killer (CASK). Take the antidote repeatedly

until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

Forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends you have

already been infected and WORK is controlling your life. This virus is

    DEADLY(Destroys-Every-Available-Decent-Living-Youngster).

Update 05-05-05: After extensive testing it has been concluded that

Best-Equivalent-Extractor-Remedy (BEER) may be substituted for WINE but

may require a more generous application.

  10. I know this would be better suited in the trading post section but I thought more folks would benifit from posting here.  Are there ticket brokers that are more prefitable than others?  And which ones are ones to avoid.  I have a friend looking for Steeler tickets.

    Thanks!!!

  11. Every Bills game ought to sell out with local fans.  Maybe a playoff season will help that along.  As far as the Chargers are concerned, I've said it several times before:  build their new stadium halfway between SD and LA and call 'em the So.Cal. Chargers!  That solves your LA franchise problem, and SD fans stilll have their team.  What's the difference between that and the Boston/New England Patriots?

Drop the new stadium right on the land at the old El Toro air base in Orange County and I think everyone would be happy

Don't forget the high speed MagLev train that stops right outside

  12. I know ticketmaster is crazy about charges, but I was looking into buying Bills tickets online and noitced their shipping charges.

They don't charge anything for standard US mail shipping, but they charge you $1.75 for EMAILING YOU the tickets!??!?!?!?
