1. Deal could be announced today.

Really, this may be the best move for both of them. I have Sirius, and I absolutely love it. I just hope I will not have to buy a new receiver.

But, I really wish that Sirius had baseball. That's the one thing I truly miss on satellite radio.

Hopefully, this merger will happen and not run into any regulatory roadblocks.

Both services have run up huge capitalization costs and are on the verge of insolvency - the merger can only be good for survival. I live in an area of piss poor radio reception and don't really care if costs go up. I listen to the radio far more than watch the tube. I was just looking at my options for wiring the outside patio.

  2. Chicken Wing Dip Works Too

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

    · 1 - 12 fluid ounce) can or bottle hot chicken wing sauce

    · 6 tablespoons butter

    · 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

    · 1 (16 ounce) bottle blue cheese dressing

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    2. Place chicken in a pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook 25 minutes, until chicken juices run clear. Drain liquid from pot and shred (let it cool and finely shred by hand) chicken. Mix wing sauce and butter into pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.

    3. Spread cream cheese over the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking dish. Pour chicken mixture over cream cheese. Top with dressing.

    4. Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until hot and bubbly.

Personally, I cut the Frank's sauce down and use some more flavorable sauces - Your Choice

Recipe easily doubles / triples for a crowd

  3. Was bored this afternoon at work so I decided to look up a few of the classic threads that you all mention from time to time.....OMG why can't Hollywood come up with comedies like these?  From NJSue's homework threads, to Retatta, and Son of Satan you've got the some of the best unintentional works of comedic gold ever.

My question to the long timer TBDers here, which classic is your all time fave?

To the newer ones that have no clue what I'm talking about, use the sort feature at the bottom of the page and look up the posts with the most replies in the Stadium Wall Archives and read some of those threads.  It'll open up a whole new level of TSW for you and let you in on a few of the inside jokes.

My fave has to be the Retatta thread in the Baseball Forum...too many classic lines from Chef Jim and Alaska Darin.

For the science oriented, you'll enjoy CTM expaining what clowns can see from the South Pole (PPP)

  4. Back in the early days, when fans actually wrote articles for TBD, they were always tagged this way. Now, I believe they are just tagged:

"Copyright © (date) Two Bills Drive.  All rights reserved"

I think TSW posts like Lori's pre-game reviews should be tagged this wasy.

Question - whatever happened to the "Spies on the East?

Decent, reasonable posts are buried away by the drivel of posters who don't remember the original #12 (or care). This one will be on Page 2 by kickoff tomorrow.

Joe Ferguson was one of the toughest QB's to play for a long time for a bad team

I always get amused by the current NBA generation who espouse the game. I tell them that (back in the day) an NBA could score 120 points and lose the game.

Bob MacAdoo - where are you ? They don't grasp the concept.

  5. They threw the house @ Quinn in the first half, which is why they were sucking wind on that last drive.  See the pathetic arm tackle attempts?

So far, I think "that school" looks very out of sync offensively and on defense, they look plain bad.

I still think they'll come out w/ a win tonight, but man, do they have some work to do before they can seriously entertain thoughts of winning the national title.

Kudos to Penn St. - the win counts (Akron ?)

  6. Ok lets re-evaluate your analagy ... first of all it would be

Mets 3 - Braves 0 after 4 1/2 - 5 innings .... baseball also has about 150 or so more games a year than college football, thus making each game worth less ... not to mention that baseball doesnt have a ranking system, so losing to a bad team wouldnt affect your overall outlook on winning the big game. get my point?

On closing day of the baseball season - which team loses the division title or wild card playoff spot by 1 or 1/2 game ?

So game # 1 or game # 101 is equally important

    All games count

  7. Some people have a hard time really getting the true meaning of posts ... above is a prime example. Never did I say in the thread that the game is over. I posted the score, stats, and said that stock is dropping. Period.

Now. If It walks like a duck, quaks like a duck, and looks like a duck. Its most likely a duck. If Notre is playing like their bad, looking like their bad, and acting gonna bad ... then they are probably bad (in this GAME - not the season)

Watch the game bro. They dont look on-course ... that simple.

Most people would post before the game (banter) and then after the game if they had remorse - but to post incomplete results such as:

(example) Mets 3 - Braves 1 after 2 1/3 innings and draw an conclusion that some how one team is failing - "stock is dropping" - interseting outlook on life

If ND loses the game then their stock will "drop" - if they win then your point is moot.

  8. 10-0, unranked Georgia Tech is beating the Charlie Weiss led National Champion favorites ... 2nd quarter ...

Brady Quinn struggling 9-18 for 55 yards.

On the other hand Calvin Johnson (many believe to be the best WR in the country this year), has 5 receptions for 94 yards a TD

    760167

Yep - 10-7 at half time - ND is done - might as well just give up

In the age of instant gratification - I'm glad some of you were not around at Rich stadium on January 03, 1993

Now - shut up - and play the second half

  9. 10-0, unranked Georgia Tech is beating the Charlie Weiss led National Champion favorites ... 2nd quarter ...

Brady Quinn struggling 9-18 for 55 yards.

There's a reason that all football teams play the whole game :w00t:

  10. I just dropped $50 at Party Poker....I really lke this site so far. Just thought I'd see if there was still any interest in a TBD poker game.

If you're interested, please chime in!

    754967

    How does this work ?

You buy a phone card (or have one) and that money is deposited to the "poker" account ?

I would luv to play for the xperience and to allow you folks to try and take my $$$ - but I have never used an on-line site

I will examine the web site while you may answer

  11. I can't help but think of the San Diego Chargers of 3 years ago.... EVERYONE thought they were the WORST team in the league! Poor offensive line, porous secondary, a QB who was nearly run out of town (sound familiar?) so what happened? 12-4 happened! There are plenty of questions with this years edition of the Buffalo Bills, however, anything can and usually does happen. I am NOT overly optimistic either, but if some of the Ifs come up aces, then the Bills could win the division. The Patriots have come back to the pack and the Dolphins might just wilt as opposed to the flowery outlook the national media spins their way. The key in any year is the health of a particular team... we'll see!!!

I'm looking for the L.T. or A.G. on the Bills roster

Darryl Boston was such an impact player

  12. You'll have to ask his mom for her version of the peerless story.  The first 7 pages of "Mewelde" on my site all point to Mewelde Moore.

Maybe she should have mewelded less.

    452455

Mewelde Moore. Position: Running Back. College: Tulane. Height: 5-10 ... Son of Jerry and Sandra Moore … Born Mewelde Jaem Cadere Moore on July 24, 1982, ...

I wonder how many people ask him to, "Please - Spell That ?"

  13. I just saw a commercial during the college football game for channel 7 Eyewitness News in Buffalo asking "Will a new stadium keep the Bills from moving? Sunday at 11".  I'm just making this post to inform you guys of this special report about the future of the Ralph and the Bills in Buffalo.  This commercial has aired a few times in the last hour so if you don't believe me turn on channel 7 and see for yourself.

    452409

I'm willing to wager the "Special Report" lasts less than two minutes and is only media hype to get tyou to tune in for much ado about nothing -

RWS is a fine facility for Buffalo Bills fans (present and future) and the economic reality of what WNY and NYS "is" says that any new faciliyty will NEVER happen
