Well as an update, I ordered the 120W combo amp and footpedal, but it wasn't scheduled to ship until the end of April. So tonight a friend invites the misses and myself to a bar where some friends of hers have a band. The wife of one of the band members says "you should jam with them" and tells me about another guy in the area who plays drums. Looks like I might have found me a potential band. So I cancelled my 120W order and ordered the 150W combo amp, which should arrive here Wednesday. Again probably more than I need, but as I said, sometimes you gotta say WTF!

Sabres win.
Idiot leafs announcers actually said they scored in the last few seconds, then took it back. What an idiot, wishful thinking for sure.
They thought for sure that Sundin scored on Miller, but Miller ROBBED him deaf, dumb, and blind!

The skateboarder deserved worse.

I guess it depends on whether he takes his meds that morning or not.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I only use "on the cheap" when it applies to lower-tier or high risk/reward players. Meaning if they passed on them, no big deal, but if they DO sign them, I wouldn't want them to break the bank.

The report sounds like total speculation that the Bills MIGHT be interested. I doubt they are, unless he comes for $1M a year and is willing to be a backup.
-
No way would I give up more than a 5th rounder for Bush.
-
As long as they don't give him a lot of money and promise him a starting job, I have no problem adding CB and hoping he can finally stay healthy for a whole year. I'd still demand (FWTW) a RB in the draft somewhere, though.

well I already had a cab which is why I was looking at that one
Makes sense. I assume the cab has Celestions?
-
So that WAS you who was on ESPN Chat Wrap. I figured.
-
right, but the features are the same
True. Although I always envisioned buying a head and building a cab.
-
i didnt mean to imply that it was Brandon Stokely that put them over the top or anything. just pointing out that they are signing guys who have played well for good teams basically at will... and that they are obviously making a push to win now.
Yep.

I'm not too worried. Compared to my Peavey Triumph 60, anything is a step-up. Plus I like how this has all the effect I used to use in foot pedals, built-in. Plus I've always wanted a wah/volume pedal.
But I ended-up getting the 120W combo amp, not the 150W head/cab.

Again, thanks for all the replies. You can't go wrong with Fender, Mesa Boogie, and Marshall. I just hope I'm not going wrong with the Spider III.
-
I'd at least call them the favorite to win the AFC.
-
Then I'm sure you watched their SB victory.
I know the D played markedly better down the stretch, particularly against the run. What is the turnaround attributed to?
Bob Sanders.

Great pickup for a great price man. You'll be happy with it.
I saw an online demo at the Line 6 website. Sounded nice. My Peavey Triumph 60 died and wasn't all that great anyway, and this will blow it away.
The vetta is an amazing setup as well, much better than the spider II....However, the spider III is a major step up from the spider II. 4 years of technology goes a long wayThat's what I figured. And again as I said, no way I'm dropping $1700 on an amp!
-
My son just got a Vetta II Combo and has a Spider II combo and the Spider II HD/Cabinet. The Vetta makes the Spider sound like a toy amp.
I would hope, considering it's 3 times the price. I'm not ready to drop that amount on money.

the 150 isnt straight up 150watts...its actually 2x75 and I believe the 120 is 2x60w. It's not that over bearing
True dat.
BTW, just ordered the 120W with the wah/volume pedal. No tax and shipping. Comes out to $499.98.
Can't wait to get it and jam!
Thanks again for the input.

Christ man, 150W????? There's no way on God's Green Earth you will need anything near that. Any gig you play is going to be miked through the PA anyways.
I have a 100W Fender twin Combo that has never even bee past 4 in any gig I've ever played because you can hear it down the block on 3. Save your money and buy less power, it's overkill and you don't need to go to "11" to rock it out. Chances are, you will never use it anyways...
Yeah. I'm gonna compromise and go 120W. Still probably more than I need, but sometimes you gotta say WTF!

Raise prices.
-
Ellison will be a good player for the Bills. Spikes however is a concern. That's why they'll draft Black in the 3rd.
-
Actually I think I'll go with the 120W and get the $100 foot pedal (with Wah/Volume pedal, my first!). That will cost be about $500 and give me twice the power I had with my old amp I used to gig with.
