  1. ICE was hilarious the post about the mel gibson movie passion of christ was wild. the post about favorite WWF wrestlers was funny too. r.rich is a classic. what about 'john from hamal' -- or something like that?
  2. what about the low level guys who got their as$ kicked each fight? joe lombardi? no thrills. these were the pounching bags for the fan favorites. mcmahon was brilliant. now he jsut sells sex.
  3. 1st off, calm down spaz. 2nd, yeah, jp threw that 1st one off his back foot as he got hit by 5 guys. it was a lucky toss. we had NO NO NO running game, or any offense other than those two deep balls. we won, that is all that matters . but a review of the game shows a crap OL that has no push on the running game. i think the texans were superior in balance and execution across the board. just an opinion. hey, we won -- and that is all that matters. but beyond the two tosses (most yrds by a receiver in 1 quarter EVER in NFL history) you have to wonder...
  4. without the two smoke and mirror 80 yr bombs evans caught, we would have won. they have a good running game and their D is getting better . jags have lost a few soft ones -- washington.
  5. Ha. they hung the chicken bone in the corner. From parts unknown. wow, the memories of these guys. Adrain Adonis died in ALberta when a moose ran across the road
  6. REnE COULET! ha, thanks. hol cow, that brings back memories. the claw.
  7. who was the french canadian guy with the glove he would use a submission hold on one's head with that crip? long haired blond looked like robert plante (led Z)
  8. Booker T was in prison for a while. Check smoking gun.com
  9. Ha. Talent level is to low to advance the ball. No running game and no pass protection. No OL, no TE, average WRs. Average RB. Average QB. Average can't win in the American COnference.
  10. Years ago, there was a great conversation as to who the best wrestler was/ is. I start the thread again: 1) Hogan 2) Andre 3) Sheik 4) Flair
  11. But the main thing you miss on is the fact this team has no real talent. At each position, they are overated. They have NO PRO BOWLERS. Even crap taems ahve pro bowlers. They rise to the top. Chicago was boring 3 years ago. They still had talent at various positions, namely the OL (Center) and LB (Url and Colvin) and SS (Brown). They then added layer after layer of talent and signed the BEST FREE AGENT Tackle Tait and Guards Brown and another other Tackle Miller. Their OL is the best in pro ball. Bills sign LBs, and has been safetys (VIncent) and crap TEs and draft horribly. So it starts with talent and good decision making. TD ruined this club for 4-5 years with his drafts. THey need an OL to win. THis controls the clock, give a running game, helps special teams and the defense to stay fresh. THe defense is young and will firm up. BUt they are on the field to much. Losman will blossom with a OL and a TE who can play catch and block.

  13. henry is injury prone. and has no breakaway speed. but neither did emmit smith. henry also had off the field problems. he is mature now. and a good player with the right type of line and one cut and go runnng game (NORM CHOW).
  14. Clemens is a solid player. Why hate? He makes too much money, but who is better than he is on this crap roster? NO ONE! Clemens is a game changer. On a poor team it is hard to play well. Clemens is a great player. Overated, but come on...lets pick on someone else here. And Booger was GREAT with Sapp next to him. HE has been very ineffective over the last 3 years. he is a body. how much tread he has left on his tires i dunno. but clemens will be gone in 2007 anyway for free, so i guess we take what we can -- if we can. trade deadline is today?
  15. This is a good thread. Lots of solid posts here. The line is a major concern. Clearly you can run and control the ball and pass protect when you got 5 good guys. Without them, everything is impossible. I watched the Steelars OL dominate yest. Big Ben had time to throw and they blew KC off the ball every snap. They got great players who were drafted in and others who were high picks they paid a lot for. THat line demonstrates a lot to me. They then get put in positions to do well in. I mean, they are simply asked to line up and block and always have a good TE and fullback to help out. THen the WRs block well down field. They have good paly actiion of this. It is simple. It lets the talented players smash mouth it. THey are high talent linemen and out play the other line. Their Def. then keeps the ball position managable until the line smashed holes in the 3rd and 4th quarters. BIlls are to draft OL. Smash mouthers. Grinders for the cold weather. NO pussys like jonas jennings or sad saps like mike williams. Levy scares me with his abilty to pick OL. After he lost his super bowl lines to retirement and free agency he started to rely on jerry crafts and other scrubs. Modrak better take this role and buidl a line like he did in Philly.
  16. Lee Evans is a #1 guy now. That pressure-- draws rolling coverage and the best corner every games. THe standard is higher for him now. He has to elevate his game...
  17. As many of us knew coming into the season, the club is very low on talent. And this shows late in games when things breakdown and when we play teams with superior talent. The OL does NOT have a drafted offensive linemann. Preston should not be on an NFL field. McGahee is overated beyond belief. He is great in his own head. The WR are average and don't block downfield. They are smurfs. Ever wonder why Shanahan (Bronco's coach) always plays a 6-4, 230 pound white reciever? Its to block and chop down safeties and tie up corners down the field. Bills have NO fullback. Losman is green -- without protection he is a sitting duck as he has no idea how to get out jams. On defense, the play of some of the young player is promising. But the run stuffing is void -- as the front 3 or 4 dont play with leverage and are pushed off the ball. Detroit was with out Damien Woody. THe two edge rushers Shoebel and Denney are soft and not physical enough. The LBs -- ditto. Clemens and McGahee are solid but with no pressure on the QB are sitting ducks. Whitner is a keeper. ANd MArv will add layers to these guys. Next to San Fran, this is the worst talent in the league -- bar non. But it will and can get better with good drafts and experience. This a young club. First thing the in the draft: defensive and offensive lineman. THey must win in the trenches -- not on the perimeter on both sides of the ball. Up the middle...
  18. Starting guard Bennie Anderson has become the third Miami right guard to be lost for the entire season, as he was forced to undergo surgery to repair a torn left triceps suffered in Sunday's loss to the Bills, according to ESPN. "I don't know if somebody put some voodoo [curse] on it or what," Anderson said of the star-crossed position. "But it's definitely frustrating for all the guys who have been injured, and for the guys who have to play next to a different [starter] every week." IS he better than Reyes>?
  19. "Coy Wire said "coach Levy" showed him how to block kicks!?!?!? Coach? I knew it. Cool... Marv is coaching a little here...
  20. He would be silly with a top OL. He has 3 different coaches in 4 yrs. Been injured with a cadevors knee in his. He is maturing. His top end speed -- like edge james -- is suspect. He has no burst. But he is still solid. I like having him.
  21. I like us to win this game. Donte will throw 2 TDS, but McGahee goes for 150 on the ground with a score. Special teams scores one and Evans gets a long one on the post.
  22. Has this guy ever been healthy? He has been collecting big money for 15 years for NOTHING. Injury prone kitty. Now, with that out of the way, Ko Simpson is looking good. And he and Donte give us a nice secondary for next season.
  23. I got to tell ya, on his long TD run a few weeks back, he looked slow as molassas. He looked like a wounded deer as he barely made it to the endzone. They claimed he was hungry. Give me a BREAK. He aint got the burst nor the break away speed or stamina. He looked injured on the run. Unless that run was an odd one and he was really hungry, he looked pretty sad and no where near the player he once was.
