  1. when you dont throw the ball down the field teams can crowd the line of scrimmage...doesnt matter if they complete the pass or not, they have to throw the ball down the field

and as soon as I type that they throw it down the field to Evans

Of course, when you've got 700 pounds of "Williams" in your interior line, you're crowding the line no matter what the play... :D

  2. Well if he doesnt get back there...Taylor goes for big yards....

Also Ellison has made some big plays....

Taylor could have carried him to the end zone, as effectively as Crowell hit him. Crowell had almost nothing to do with that stop. He shouldn't even get the tackle he'll be credited with on that play.

And I do loke Crowell. I'm happy to see him starting and Posey gone. But he did jack sh-- on that play.

  3. TSA is a GOVERNMENT AGENCY and we, as citizens of the US, have a right to challenge the government.  Those who say "Just shutup" are ignoring the sacrifices of not only our forefathers, but of the men and women serving overseason.

The guy wasn't causing a distraction, wasn't threatening anybody, wasn't doing anything wrong.  And the Peace Bridge comment?  Contraband isn't an accurate analogy, but having a flag on your car that says "Socialized Medicine sucks" IS an accurate analogy - and shouldn't have any effect on crossing the border.

Arguably, bringing a bag full of anything with "So-and-so at the TSA is and idiot" is threatening. I don't think so...sitting at a keyboard watching idiots discuss it on the internet. But if I actually worked as an airport security official and witnessed it at the gate, I might think otherwise.

  4. So what happened?  Initially, it showed Minn's ball at Buffalo's 15...then it went back to mid-field (per nfl.com gamecast)

Pooch kick, recovered by Thomas. Vikes called fair catch, so it was Vikes ball. The officials ridiculously called interference even though no Viking was within two yards of the ball, and tacked on an extra 15 yards, which moved the ball to mid-field.

  5. Smart play by the viking, even though it looked like he was no going to make an attempt to catch the ball.

Looks like he would have let it drop

Bad break for Buffalo on that play call

The stangest stuff seems to happen to this team

Bills certainly are good at creating situations that make for creative application of the rule book... :D

  6. you can clearly see the viking closest to the ball wave for the fair catch........good call, unfortunately

    791212[/snapback]

Nah, still a sh------- call. Thomas didn't "interfere" with his oppirtunity to catch the ball, as the Vikings player was no where near catching it. All Thomas did was down it. The officials just gave the Vikings a 15 yard gift.

  7. Lots of people throw it out as a truism that NY has one of the highest tax burdens.... Certainly, it varies as one categories by net taxes, state taxes local, federal, per capita, as a percentage of earnings (which is probably the fairest way to judge)... etc. It can be as complicated or as easy as you'd like to make it.

But the truism is so b/c it generally is true.

According to the Tax Foundation NY is #2 only to.... drumroll please.... Connecticut. :D

And Connecticut is nothing more than a suburb of NYC anyway... :o
