  1. There isn't much that makes me irate enough to throw out senseless F bombs, etc., but your mockery of PTSD is outrageous.
  2. I am convinced the majority of America shares my deep concerns. That is why Obama has needed to dilute those concerns by outspending McCain 4-1, which is unprecedented in a U.S. presidential election. Even so, McCain is still within striking distance with less than two weeks left.
  3. That would be me. In actuality, it is going to get worse before it gets better no matter who is elected. Once you've lived enough, you will understand that no matter how bad it is right now, it can always get worse. But I believe an Obama-led America could get a lot worse. First, while Obama is out trying to get the rest of the world to like us again, he is going to make us vulnerable but showing we are no longer resolute in our defense of democracy and human rights. He may be able to assemble a great team that will prevent that, but most Americans thought George W. Bush had assembled a great team for foreign policy. A good team can only be as good as its leader. Obama's thoughts on State Department affairs are fundamentally flawed. Obama reminds me a great deal of Carter. I wonder how Obama would handle another Iran Hostage Crisis. My view is that his early statements about negotiating with terrorist-sponsored states makes him look too weak to deter those states from striking first. Second, our nation's small businesses are going to fail at an even worse rate than they are now if Obama's health care plan and/or tax plan get enacted. Socialism has already been given a head-start with the Wall Street bailout, and Obama's tax plan and mentality, especially with Obama having control of the House and Senate, could very well propel socialism into the official way of life here. Say that isn't possible all you want, but it is and we already aren't that far from it. You only need to look back 15 years ago to the collapse of the super power that was the USSR. If it could happen there, it could happen here. Call me an alarmist, but socialism smashed the economies of the former Soviet republics into shambles. Civil wars and ethnic violence broke out between the republics which compare to our states. And the quality of medical care, educational facilities and residential housing deteriorated all the way from some of the world's highest standards to conditions found in third-world countries. That disarray, destruction and decay was the logical legacy of the application of the collectivist ideal. That ideal included three ideas: the theory of a planned economy, the belief in collective or group rights, and the notion of socialized or state-provided social services. Sound familiar? So, yes, I believe it is entirely reasonable to fear things could get worse with Obama in the White House.
  4. Two games, damn it.
  5. Outstanding interview. As someone who has prepared many spokespeople for national television interviews, I am impressed with Trent's ability to provide quick, intelligent answers, sprinkling in team messages and funny anecdotes. He has great poise .
  6. They should suspend him for two games.
  7. Agreed, completely.
  8. The short answer is yes. He has proposed a few plans (health care, taxes, foreign relations, withdraw from Iraq) that I truly object to. As for this terrorist kick, no, but my point is that there is way too much unknown about these dealings and associations that would enable me to be comfortable voting for him to be our president. Did you read the part in the original post about Aiham Alsammarae? What about his campaign's initial lies regarding how it was spending money with Acorn? Don't forget about Rezko. There is clear underhandedness there.
  9. Outstanding job reciting the DNC's talking points verbatim. Are you aware the 90% number you throw around is only for 2007? In fact, McCain's support of President Bush's position has been as low as 77 percent (in 2005), and his support for his party's position has been as low as 67 percent (2001).
  10. Your statement defines the problem we are speaking of. Tom Reynolds does not equal George W. Bush simply because they are both Republicans. I have not liked GWB since he was elected because of the tactics he used to defeat McCain back in the 2000 primaries. Hell, McCain didn't like Bush because of that. Now, eight years later, it looks like Bush is going to defeat McCain again. A vote against Bush does not have to mean a vote for Obama. Bush isn't running any more.
  11. The fact that the Obama campaign honestly feels this way is both good and bad. It is of course good because it is likely true and needs to be prepared for. Obviously, it is bad because, as Biden is saying, the United States is looking vulnerable. No matter how well an Obama administration responds, Americans are going to get hurt and suffer from this appearance of weakness.
  12. I know you were directing your reply to murra, but I should answer too as murra was replying to my post. I am not saying Obama is necessarily a terrorist sympathizer. I am saying it appear that he has been willing to accept help from some people of character that I would describe as heinous. The original post in this thread names a lot more than one thing that should make people have doubts about who Obama really is.
  13. Agreed. The reason it is next to impossible to reach Obama supporters with this accurate and important message is that most of the Obama supporters are really Bush-haters who will vote against the GOP regardless of who they are voting for. The real failure in this election was the Democrats' carelessness in allowing Obama to beat Clinton.
  14. How are the McCain/Palin rallies suggesting racist feelings? Last time I checked, the terrorist talked about the most in this election is white. The thing about this election I am most tired of is the implication that opposing Obama means you are racist.

  16. What will be shown Wednesday night is a "capsulized version," according to Chris Brown.
  17. The reemergence of Jason Peters Sunday has been vastly overlooked, IMHO. It took the bye week to get him into regular season form, but he is there just in time, as he will be facing a fired up Joey Porter next Sunday.
  18. So i've seen.
  19. I will only refer to them as the stinkin' fish. They do not rate upper case letters.
  20. In other news, conservative Republicans have long said John McCain is no Republican.
  21. I agree that is terrible and disheartening. I suppose you think such horrible acts are new or even unique to this country? Would you have posted this if the dead bear was covered with McCain signs?
  22. Bingo! When the showdown takes places, the Bills o-line needs to be very aware that it is never safe to take their eyes off this MF.
  23. Wilfork needs to be suspended for this. He is showing that fines are not enough of a deterrent to stop him from this behavior. There are some violations that would simply warrant an increased fine to raise the deterrent, but this needs to be addressed on the most serious level which must equate to missed game time.
  24. Yes, I've considered that very carefully, and as I showed in the original post on this thread, it is clear that Obama indeed favors socialism and has associated himself with terrible people on a somewhat regular basis leading up to his journey to Washington.
